I started watching KS on August 11, after a friend I ran into at a birthday party told me to give it a try. I spent my week-long break replaying past episodes. Initially, I thought Alden & Maine were both cute. And I just dismissed it as that—another typical Pinoy loveteam. My impatience with following teleseryes daily got the better of me.
The August 22 episode did it for me, however. I caved in. Alden’s dubsmash/rendition of GGMY and Thinking Out Loud just before the wedding ceremony was very honest, raw, & revealing. He bared his soul. His body language spoke what his words did not. His eyes revealed something far deeper—that he had crossed the point of no return. It was the beginning of LOVE.
After that, Alden became a changed man. And I became a fan.
