“Consult not your fears but your hopes and your dreams. Think not about your frustrations, but about your unfulfilled potential. Concern yourself not with what you tried and failed in, but with what is still possible for you to do.” ~ Pope John XXIII
How time flies.
If not for the opportunity that you were given, you would have tried your chance at becoming a flight attendant- to explore the world with a set of sturdy iron wings. Oh how innocent you were into thinking that was the only way to fly!
I know you still recall how you felt that day, one fine Saturday in July, not knowing if it would all work out the way you want it to. The opportunity to explore who you really are and what you wanted to become was at hand. You were ecstatic, ready to take on this more electrifying chapter in your life. But deep inside, the pessimist in you was still in doubt. So many what-ifs its frightening, weakening, absolutely petrifying.
But you took the plunge anyway, taking with you the uncertainties, the worries and the fears and using them as your springboard to chase a dream, secret and ultimate, as you call it. Hoping with all hopes that you will flourish.
And flourish you did.
The camera was very easy on you. Or maybe it’s the other way around. You’ve been so comfortable in front of the camera that it cannot but respond to you as tenderly as a friend you’ve always known all your life. You blossomed graciously, like a butterfly so fragile yet oh so beautiful to the eyes. You are so genuine, you became the people’s new sweetheart. You captured our hearts like nobody had for a very long time. You captured the whole world like it has always been there, in the palm of your hands.
Along the way, you have become stronger. You had your share of physical, mental and emotional disarray. This new world, with all its deceits and pretenses hidden behind its blinding glitters, confused you. Its chaotic structure pushed you to your limits, to the point of overwhelming exhaustion! Any other woman would have crumpled and shriveled. Any other woman would have run to a dark corner and sniveled. Any other woman would have given up and faded. But you are not just any other woman.
And that endeared you to millions more of our kind.
Today, another Saturday, almost to when September ends, I have a strong intuition that you are going to be re-launched, with an overwhelmingly grander fanfare than your first one. This is the next chapter in the story of your life.
But now you have become more than just the butterfly. You are coming out like a baby eagle fresh out of the eagle’s nest. You are standing on the edge, looking up at the bright blue sky, ready to take that first jump towards whatever lies ahead, with the knowledge that the world is ready for your taking! Yes, still uncertain, but with purposeful conviction that, even without those sturdy iron wings, you are finally ready to fly!
Eto na Meng, lilipad ka na..
So spread your wings and fly like you’ve never flown before! Soar high, as high as your free spirit can take you. Don’t worry about falling because we will always be down here, constantly gazing up at the beautiful you, ready to catch you however high you fall to nourish you and launch you back to where you truly belong: up there with the brightest of stars- where your destiny awaits, where your dreams reside. ~ Vilo

I like it that Ryan A is encouraging Alden to go to Bulacan. Coming from someone with a happy marriage that means a lot. I hope A does not miss the signs around him that whatever it is between Meng and him may be worth a try and may work out good. Ryan and Juday are opposites but they have a healthy relationship considering that both are in showbiz. Despite het star status in the 90’s hindi napapansin si Juday kasi she is considered as pang-masa beauty. Yes there are actors linked to her but hindi sure if nagka-BF siya before Ryan. The actors linked to her eventually dated polished, glamorous, sosyal actresses parang mga type ni Alden. And then Ryan A , educated, related to the historian Agoncillo, sosyal courted Juday and now they are living their happily ever after. And Juday bloomed, really bloomed. Ganda kaya niya kahit buntis. Would not that be nice to be a part of a person’s growth? Meng is a diamond in the rough and A could help her out in her growth and journey in showbiz and in their personal life if ever. Parang pagtratrabaho din sa isang bagong company na if you are one of its pioneer employees and it becomes successful the personal reward and sense of accomplishment is sweeter. Hay anyway if ayaw talaga ni A I really like Kimpoy Feliciano din naman. Male version ni Meng. Bakit ba ako affected mga iho at iha?

Episode today when Alden sang God Gave Me You that is not superb acting, isn’t it? That is real, pure, unadulterated love that after his performance I am honestly speechless. Ambigat sa dibdib. Please validate my observations, please. To me that is real, raw emotion. After this ep kapag hindi pa maging sila mapapatay ko na silang dalawa.

Don’t hate me, Cate, but… what if those emotions that overwhelmed him completely today were not emotions of romantic love, but, rather the overwhelming weight of deep gratitude to someone who changed his life completely in ways that he never could have imagined or dared to dream for himself (skyrocketing fame and fortune). And now he’s finally meeting this angel and does not even know how to begin to thank her for all that she unwittingly did for him…
Should he now have to love her, does he owe her that.. I am sure he owes her his devotion, but does devotion equal love…

I felt Alden’s sincerity too. But Meng is, for the most part, playing a role. except when she gave a hand-written letter/card to “Richard”. I could not shrug off her tweet moments later about her desire to go back to New York City. Hmmmm… I wonder… Any one here can share their thoughts?

Despite sounding a little jaded earlier, I am a big fan of this crazy show. I was still very kilig when I watched today’s episode. As usual, I scrutinized every little thing about Alden and Maine. It got really interesting when they were both sitting on the sofa and he was pushed by Lola Tinidora… poor Alden started sweating buckets as soon as he came into contact with Maine! And he was just a big ball of sweat after that, especially since he had to play the part of yearning to touch her. Throughout the role play, I thought he had this look about him like he was hoping Maine would throw caution to the wind and touch him…When Joey announced the Twitter record, it seemed like a natural thing for him to turn and embrace her and share that wonderful milestone they created…He seems like that type of guy, very emotional.Too bad they had a role to play. No touching, says Lola.
The we have our shy Menggay… she could barely look him in the eye. She’s a wonderful comedic actress. I laughed when she picked a fight with the sliding glass door. 🙂 But our Meng was uncomfortable in an intimate setting.. Back at he studio when Alden was in tears dedicating the song to her… well, she smiled. Nothing wrong with that. She probably only had the camera in the room to sing to (n act like it’s Alden) and not the TV screen to see what’s going on… But, she had an earpiece on and she could hear… Any woman here knows that if we hear (or feel) something is wrong with our man, we get up to find out… so we can give him the emotional support he needs.
Our Alden is an earnest, emotional, young man. He’s mature for his age, cautious, takes his time, but I have a feeling once he decides on something, he won’t get tired of his choice easily. Our Maine is young, carefree and impulsive. I’m wondering if she’s patient and mature enough to wait for someone like him.
Love and a crush is different. Now that restrictions are lifted, they’ll hopefully start communicating with each other… maybe after a couple of texts and calls, she’ll start to feel more comfortable being around him.. and then maybe she’ll find out that they both click just as easily in a normal environment, and thus create more “magic”.. And we’ll continue sitting at the edge of our seats waiting for something, the next thing, to happen..

Oh well… let’s just pretend that i never said that. After today’s epic episode, i dont want to burst any one’s bubble and cause a stir. Let’s just keep our thinking caps on along with our kilig hearts. Sabi nga ni Lola – isip at puso. No matter how much we desire na maitawid ito from Reel to Real… it will be very hard at this point. Sit back and relax na lang and see where this love story will take us. Dont get me wrong, i love AlDub and will be forever grateful to EB for bringing the spark back to my monotonous OFW life. But the realist in me screams – this is showbiz, people! A world where great pretenders are paid well.

Guys, you all need to watch the replay in High Def. Set your youtube to at least 480p quality and see for yourself that when Alden finished his song and Maine did her pabebe wave at him SHE WAS CRYING. HER TEARS WERE FLOWING DOWN HER CHEEK (CAPS LOCK PARA INTENSE! LOLS!)
Please note that she was being filmed through a mirror, that’s why she looked left-handed when she was writing and the image was softened a bit, but turn up the quality higher and you will see her tears flowing down her cheek. And you know what? Pat, the Kalyeserye director, said that it’s very hard to make Meng cry. But she cried during the Plywood episode and she cried again today at Alden’s song.

You know what even if they don’t develop a romantic relationship in the future, there’s no way they wont develop a deep friendship, what with the acknowledgment of each being a gift to the other. Their future collaborations can provide the opportunity for them to get to know each other better. Let us just wish them well in their journey.

Just finished watching the most epic episode of KalyeSerye today, 26th September 2015. It was a whirlwind of emotions. I am so proud of Menggay. She was breathtaking! And Alden, oh.my.gosh… he is an absolute heartthrob . I am so impressed by the three Lolas as well. Galing talaga! Finally, there were no busina or alarm clock. Alden/Maine was able to gracefully exit the scene. The most REAL moment, for me, was Meng giving a letter addressed to “Richard”. Haay. Anyway, I want to know your take on Meng’s tweet moments after this epic ganap. She said “Take me back to New York Cityy (smiley HEART emoticon.” What say you, Mr Vilo? Do you think Meng is hinting on a desire to move back to NY to be with the “bestfriend” she left there? Or am I channeling just my inner Jude Deveraux/Cecelia Ahern? 🙂

After the emotionally charged ep today I am puzzled too why she has to post something about NY considering that the ex is still with Sagamore. But then she may really like the place and may not be thinking of a person in particular or it’s sarcasm because when I looked up the link it was under an account Sarcasm in reference to NY’s bitter winters. Anyway parang the tables are turned now at mas kinakabahan ako para kay Alden. Maine seems frail and sensitive and fragile but from the way I look at it Alden seems to have invested so much more emotion than her about whatever it is between them while Maine seems to be cool lang. And that scene when Alden is serving Maine at the table, ano iyon? I was like does this foreshadow things to come? Tapos ang cute ni Meng mukhang sanay pinagsisilbihan. LOL. Alden got whipped big time.

By the way, did you see him give his white hanky to Maine. I found it very chivalrous. If Alden was acting, he was very good. Pang-Oscars ang bata. But kidding aside, there is a sudden shift of roles now. Our Alden is the one pursuing and it’s Maine who is holding back. I pray Maine will give him a chance though. He seemed to be an extremely good, decent guy (and devastatingly handsome, if i may add) who just happened to spend most of his life under the glare of the cameras. He seemed very grounded given the super stardom he is in right now.He is quite a catch 🙂 So Maine, if ever youre reading… give Alden a chance to prove his worth to you.

As a guy I’m not too concerned about Alden being the one who’s chasing Maine. Of course I’m just basing my opinion on my own personal experiences so I am fully aware that this may not be true for everyone. My most meaningful attempts at “panliligaw” were those where I had to work hard to get the girl. By “meaningful” I don’t mean successful — most ended up with me in various degrees of pain. By “meaningful” I mean those that I learned from so much, that I remember more clearly and more fondly, and if I look back to any of those I’d say “it was worth it”. If Alden is anything like me then chasing Maine will be good for him. The harder he works at it, the more meaningful it will be for him. If after all his hard work they will end up together, he will cherish it more. If they don’t end up together then it will still be good for him as a learning experience. It will be very painful, it might even be the most painful experience he will have (after his mother’s passing), but he will survive because he’s a survivor. Regardless of how it will end, when he looks back to this one day I’m sure he’ll say “it was worth it”.

Precisely why I felt it was unfair to put pressure on them about getting into a relationship outside of Kalyeserye. People kept pressing Alden to bare his feelings and now that he seems to be doing that you begin to worry about him. Let them be; they may be young but they both have good heads on their shoulders. Living inside a fish bowl is difficult enough as it is; let’s not make it any harder, if we really care about them.

I was also puzzled by Maine’s tweet about NY so it was interesting to see it brought up here. Could it just be that the NY tweet came up from Maine’s feed, she’s been following @ComedyPost anyways, and “Take Me Back to New York City” is a title from a song by Harman Dune

I think more important for me is the “experience” that AlDub gives me. More than laughter and kilig, I’ve become more flexible. I’ve openly admitted I am a fan. I’ve openly tweeted — and mind you the tweets come from the conversation more than that shallow need to create tweets. Sometimes I ask myself am I just getting carried away by the hype, by the screaming crowd — you know, that kind of energy. But no, that energy, that thrill, that hype happens inside of me — when I watch the KS videos before I sleep, during lunchbreak, even when I read news of them in tweets. I know it must be scaring the hell out of the other network. I’ve worked there before and I know that they put a lot of effort to make it into the ratings. That’s expected. It’s business after all — that’s where you get it all bungled up: servicing an audience well or servicing the business.
I am writing this because like everyone who has followed this, I want a happy ever after — I mean the real kind. BECAUSE ALDUB CONTINUES TO INSPIRE FOR AS LONG AS IT REMAINS HUMBLE, PURE, SIMPLE AND REAL…VERY REAL.
I want two people to discover themselves outside of the hype, outside of camera range, with a decent table to dine in and converse and see what greater purpose destiny has for them.
And you’re really wrong when you think the number of tweets is just about numbers. Hey, its about those 2O MILLION TWEETS ARE ABOUT THE LOVE THAT PEOPLE HAVE FOR ALDUB. Somehow, we experience love again with it. I can’t explain how…I guess that’s what true love is all about. You just can’t explain it. Love to all! May we all have a very beautiful AlDub experience in our lives…and this country will be a better place.
Who would have known the Filipinos could be united in a love — team.
We did become a love team — all of us — with AlDub

I like coming back to this blog after every KS episode. It’s so easy to get carried away by emotions; today’s episode was particularly overwhelming to many people. Coming here and reading the flow of intelligent discourse helps keep things in perspective. Thank you, Mr. Vilo, for providing this platform.
Here’s a reality check: KS is a TV show with actors whose real purpose is to entertain their viewers. They know what the viewers want and they feed on their fantasies. They saw a mutual attraction between two actors and they magnified it. They gave it a romantic plot, they dressed male actors in drag, they added some plot twists. And it worked. People went crazy. EB found the magic formula.
And after today’s episode, how could one still doubt RFJ’s feelings for Maine. After all, he shed tears while serenading her. He dedicated the song to her. He was completely overwhelmed and everyone felt it. But did he cry because he finally realized that he is in fact falling for her? Or was it an overflowing emotion of gratitude to someone who catapulted his career?
That’s the cynic in me talking.
The fact is, no one can deny that this loveteam brings people together. Whether or not what they feel towards each other is real is just icing on the cake. What really matters is that their “love story” has become a source of happiness for so many. And that has always been their main purpose, isn’t it? To bring “love, happiness and good vibes”. Maine recently tweeted: “Wala kaming ibang hangarin kundi magbigay SAYA sainyong mga manunuod”. And for that, I thank you, Alden and Maine. Well done.

I’D LIKE TO BELIEVE SOMETIME IN THE NIGHT WHEN ALL THE FRENZY OF FANDOM IS OVER, MAINE OR ALDEN OR WILL BE READING THIS. And it is for this reason that I say the following” I hope they find only more strength to find purpose in things here and not influenced that what is written here are definite, accurate thoughts of the other….thank God for that letter Maine wrote to Richard. At least there will be some clarity between them. Alden, Maine : we are all analysing details here ONLY because we have become so much a part of this experience. We want it to be real We want it to be true. We want it to forever. But we are not in the position to decide this for you. But as a spectator of this beautiful, beautiful story, you have my commitment to pray that you be guided in every decision you make, in every strength you need to muster (especially now that many will wish to destroy this success). In the eyes of the network wars, competition will see your success as a threat, as a passing fancy, as a blow to business plans. It is natural and inevitable that they will see the AlDub fandom face a fall. There are no coincidences in life. I believe that a feeling as beautiful as the AlDub experience cannot come from anything else but from God…after all, God is the highest form of love and it is every soul’s desire to experience the highest feeling of love, to experience God. Where is this going? Only to tell you that do not fear the onslaughts of the enemy, the wagging tongues of media, the false predictions and schemes to destroy both of you. All this hype, the 20 Million tweets are results of only one important point that brought us all together. They all come from one thing — LOVE. July 16 was born out of a simple desire to make people happy. It went on into weeksaries and monthsaries because of that desire…and it still goes on because you have both recognized the power of God in giving you each other. The power of Love. Keep that Love always between you, in your center because it will be fuel your optimism, your passion, your durability in an industry that is fleeting and judgemental. Feed each other with respect, truth, honesty, and the desire for each other’s betterment in life (beyond showbusiness).
Feed your talents well because when ones talent should always be greater than ones hype. Let no pessimism enter, no doubt reign. Years from now Kalyeserye will be like a fairy tale that will continue to make us believe — God is watching. Love can really find us if we believe hard enough and seek it out.

I rushed to watch that scene again (multiple times) hoping I missed something earlier because to see her crying would be epic…. Unfortunately, Nine, I have to agree with Marianna here. There were No Tears flowing down her face… She looked… Glowing. Either from sweat or dewy makeup-no-makeup-look, or a combination of both. There were lights reflecting on several angles of her face because it’s a mirror reflection. At the end of the song, she gave a gentle smile and a “gentle” pabebe wave to the camera (meant for Alden).. But, overall she looked…joyful. This is a Joyful day for them both. When Maine is joyful, she glows. When Alden feels joyful…well, joyful Alden cries. That’s why he’s a great actor, he digs deep, cries at every little thing.

This reminds me of the time when that lace dress drove the Internet crazy. I really saw a white and gold dress. When my friend saw Blue and Black I told her she was high. She called me a blind bat. Turns out she was half right. Scientists had to step in to explain why majority of the world’s population can’t see colors right.
I REALLY WANT TO SEE MAINE CRYING WITH ALDEN (CAPS LOCK BECOS INTENSE!) I REALLY DO.

Anyway, since I’m already posting a comment, I might as well give my 2 cents.
1. I’m grateful to Vilo for his prose/poetry *kantahan na rin kita ng GGMY*. Props to you, sir, for your eloquence in expressing your unabashed admiration for Maine. I, too, am a huge fan of hers.
2. The level of over-analysis of every micro-expression and tweet of A and M is astounding. This is proof of how effective they are as actors. I hope anybody on the show who happens to read this blog would find the discussions here more flattering/entertaining than bothersome.
3. I have given up reading too much into the actors’ emotions/intentions for each other. Any feelings they have for each other – good or bad – are theirs to keep. I will tune in to the show even if their relationship stays reel. As much as I want them to be a real couple, it’s none of our business how they make that happen (if they ever do). I have a greater desire to see them both succeed as individuals than for them to satisfy our desire to turn Aldub into Maichard/Rimaine.
4. I am a fan of the Kalyeserye because I enjoy watching a thoroughly entertaining, well-executed, effectively-acted show with a compelling story and positive values – much like the last ep. Mission accomplished sila sa “pagbibigay ng SAYA”. They not only gave us happiness, they gave us joy and kilig in spades. *cue Fantastic Baby by Big Bang*
5. Having said all that, I hope that we all get the chance to do an online meet and greet with the cast/creative team so we can ask all our questions about the show (An ask.fm Q&A, perhaps?). Because it was only after finding out that Maine’s pabebe wave was a spontaneous unscripted reaction that I realized her genius… And that her fainting spell was real and how everything else unfolded thereafter *mind blown*. I became an instant fan of Maine and the show. I’d just like to know which parts were planned/directed and which ones were not….Sige na nga, pati ang burning question: “Maine, did you really cry when Alden sang GGMY?” Nababaliw na yung iba kakareplay e. My promise: I’ll leave the awkward questions about the actors’ personal lives to the showbiz reporters to ask (because it’s really none of my business).
*busina 2x*

Hi madolldoll
When I was child we named our pets Michael and Madonna. This time it’s going to be Twekilay and Dalinay. I’ve moved past whether or not she was crying. BEY, a few comments down saw Maine ask Alden at the dinner table if kakanta sya.. Turns out our girl didn’t even have a visual on the studio.
If you do get a chance for a Q&A, ask Maine this for me: What did Alden smell like when he was sweating buckets at the mansyon sitting/standing next to you?
I just want to know if he still smelled pretty, that’s all

Hi jnnchn, in case my comment came off differently, I just want to clarify that I was merely teasing. I love your passion for the show… My last point was merely wishful thinking but hey if it ever happens, I will be sure to ask your question. Mukha namang mabango pa rin kahit haggard. Hahaha.

I didn’t see the tears. It would have been a beautiful moment if she did shed a tear…Mahirap paiyakin itong si Maine. I think she puts up guards whenever she shows her real emotions — especially when it comes to crying. Alden’s cry seemed like tears of joy because finally this moment of certainty in life and career has happened. I don’t think his career was not moving because lack of talent. He just needed an open door. And we all know how good talent management matters too. That good project did happen from the greatest Giver of talent up there. God gave him an incredible project. I believe God planned it all out for both of them to achieve their dreams. God gave him Maine. As much as she is a sign that he is being guided (because I can’t call all this AlDub thing pure “luck”), I think Alden may have to rescue her back too (I just have that feeling). Maine is a pessimist. Her “whatever happened to chivalry” (albeit scripted from Emma Stone’s movie) perhaps is a manifestation of that. She needs to believe in love. I believe Richard Faulkerson can make her. And she does love everything about NY. She’s a free spirit but I certainly, certainly hope she finds her home with Richard.

I feel you. I was teary-eyed while reading all your comments here. The tables are turned. Na feel ko si M, the spark in her is gone. Then here comes A, trying to win her again. I pity him, but we can’t blame M, maybe she learned her lesson not to invest too much emotions on him. Kasi before, si A parang all acting lng tlga. Kinikilig ako from day 1 but at the same time nasasaktan ako for M. Pero ngayon, parang nasasaktan na ako for A. Kasi nga parang nabaliktad na ang situation. Hehe! Crazy! I don’t know kung saan patutunguhan nila. Pero malulungkot talaga ako pag hindi sila nagkatuluyan. Rj and Maine changed my perception of love. I will forever be grateful to them. They may not know my existence, but I’ m happy and proud that I belong in this fandom.

So… the much awaited akyat ligaw Saturdate’s done…
The one part I keep watching over and over again
and cant help to feel sadness for is…
The live singing of Alden.
Someone from comments already stated that what if Alden just feels so much gratitude for all the blessings that came along with M and overwhelmingly changed both their lives..
I can actually see and feel his gratitude to M thru that song, but for some reason when I watched it then rewatched and rewatched some more..I find the part wherein he’s looking at the monitor. Looking like he’s begging/wishing for her to look at him, Im not sure , Allan K even have to scream her name to get her attention..
And lalong napaiyak naman si. Guy…
Parang ..
Im scared for him na he just realized something too late …
Is she gone ? I cant see her kanina specially that letter writing part looking at the split screen na parang “sige kanta ka lang dyan”..
Sana shes just punishing him pa rin,
I really am just a quiet observer, pero I think still like most of you..
Hopeful na magka FOREVER sila

Hi tere – awww, why is there a need to punish Alden? Some women would sell their soul just to get a minute of his attention. He is the epitome of an IDEAL MAN. Just sad e kaaga-aga 🙂
Nine, replayed the video on whitedove HD and there were no tears. It was dewy but no tears flowing at all. When i replayed it, I even sensed a little bit of sarcasm when she shook her head a bit. Oh well, life goes on. Only Meng knows what really happened in that room (and probably the director and cameraman. It was a fail for both as they did not capture the moment clearly). But I am rooting for Alden. And I guess Maine’s family too is hoping na maging totohanan na ito (judging from their numerous twitter posts). Gosh, this is utter madness people! I should get a life rather than obsessing on someone else’s. Just a thought 🙂 have a great day or night everyone! pumapag-ibig na ang binata natin 🙂 here’s one hoping na indeed Tuloy ang Forever 🙂

Objective speaking I think it is right that M keeps her emotions contained. I mean yes umakyat nga si A ng ligaw but sa “mansyon” un, not in M’s real home in bulacan so obviously that’s a reel moment. Given all her past interactions with A na “urong sulong”, I’m sure she has learned to keep her emotions in check also. Given everything we’ve seen on national tv yesterday, I can safely conclude two points 1.) A is definitely attracted to M. 2.) He really feels thankful that M came into his life. So what’s next? The ball is now in A’s court since they’ve already met. IF he is really interested, he should be initiating contact off cam right? Not naman ligawan agad, but start with being friends. What if he doesn’t initiate anything then M would get disappointed again & it would affect their screen chemistry. So for me, it’s just right that she shows that her emotions are not fully invested in expecting A pursuing her anytime soon. In my opinion, that letter she gave A is already a big thing on her part. Tama na un. It should be A’s move next on what will come next. IF A wants this to develop into something further he should start making moves or else he’ll miss his chance.

Like all of you i was a bit disappointed that Maine wasnt looking at Alden when the camera focused on her while he was singing his heart out in tears. But more than thinking she was not as into it as he is, i felt that she was just keeping her emotions in check. Thats what i think. Maybe this is too all much for her, she wants to keep what she is feeling to herself at that time. There are a lot of comments here and in social media that it is Maine that has feelings for Alden and it shows. And maybe this is why she didnt react much. She doesnt want wear her heart on her sleeve at that precise moment.

About that letter of Maine’s to Richard…I found it very disappointing that ALden had posted it in his IG…although binuking na sya ni Lola Tidora na kay “Richard” naka address ung letter, Maine explicitly told him that it is for his eyes only, itinatago pa nga ni Maine di ba ung harapan para di makita nung iba kung kanino naka address??!! …meaning para kay Richard na real hindi kay Alden na reel..what’s worst is pag tinatanong sya about the letter inulit ulit pa nya ung cnabi ni Meng na para lang sa eyes nya yun kya irespect na lang (showbiz na showbiz!!!). Here I found Alden very ungentleman…hindi nya prinotektahan feelings ni MAINE MENDOZA.
Pasensya na po, view ko lng po,..pero kung ako c Maine at nagbigay ako ng personal na sulat dun sa wala sa showbiz at cnabi ko png para sa kanya lng eto isunugal ko emotions ko dahil “actingan lang to uy”…pinagkatago tago ko na nga IPINOST MO PA??!!!…nasaktan lang po ako sa pagkakapost nya..ang pagkakakuha ko e ganito kung ako c Maine “ah, ok, so Alden and Richard is one and the same…actingan lang pareho 😦 ..”
For you, Alden/Richard : we already know that Maine is beautiful inside and out..sinarili mo na lang sana na mas nakilala mo sya ng husto nung mabasa mo ung letter nya (d ba sabi mo un ang gusto mong mangyari? )… but to post that letter envelope addressed to Richard??…no wonder Maine wants to go back to NY 😦
I was rooting for both of you pero now I am praying that Maine finds the ONE who truly deserves her.

From my point of view, theres still a little doubt kay M to give her heart and accept the fact na real na talaga si A.. Dun sa part na nag dubsmash si A na parang sha ang inintay ang laman ng lyrics she mouthed “weh?” I mean, nag dodoubt pa rin sha. And for the closure, siguro what lies or embark in the letter e ang pag lilinaw ng feelings niya. This is just a fan-wild-educated-guess. 🙂

I think hindi lang masyadong napansin ni M yung live na kanta ni A kasi nung nag-uusap sila, M was asking A kung kakanta pa siya. A said na yung kanina, hindi mo narinig? So I think wala yung focus ni M during God Gave Me You because she was writing the letter.

I hope M would tweet something about how she felt when A sang her that song. Her reaction is kind of a letdown. I agree, i watched the replay and read the lips of A saying ” thank you yun” while M gesturing his singing. My opinion on M’s reaction sa kanta ni A, i think her attention is on writing the letter for A, maybe pouring all her emotions sa letter. so the key to this is in that letter which sila lang ang nakaka alam 🙂 Giving A a hand written letter is special para kay M, i read it in her blog na special talaga sa kanya ang mabigyan and of course siguro mag bigay ng letter. Kita rin naman na may attraction sila sa isa’t isa eh, sila na bahala kung saan to mapupunta, reel ba or real na talaga. Abang abang na lang po tayo hehe

Yes, Yes, Yes!!! She had no visual on the studio while she was writing the letter and he was singing. That explains her lack of a reaction! Well, I am imagining now she cried and fell in love when she replayed it. 🙂

Yup, I’m the Grinch who stole romance by saying it’s likely just gratitude Alden was feeling when he cried while singing. Although, I have to admit I did feel weird emotions when I saw him cry. I stop short of crying myself. I was sad watching him search for Maine. It’s human nature to turn to the person who can understand what’s going on. Do you guys realize that the 2 of them are the only ones on the planet who know EXACTLY what each one is going through? Yet sadly, neither one of them can talk to the other about it… Contact is discouraged to preserve the “magic”. Who else can they commiserate with about the pitfalls, or fully share in the joys of their unique instant fame? They only have each other and they cannot even talk to one another.
They became famous overnight in the most unusual way. These 2 beautiful people stumbled upon a new form of delivering entertainment to the public. Alden is a traditional actor that needs to face a partner and an audience to gauge their reaction. Maine acts to a webcam wherein she can see herself, she interacts with herself, and then splices the videos… What they are doing now is on live TV. It is singing and “harot-ing” to the camera pretending it’s the other person, when they are really only looking at and acting to, an empty space (camera). They look surreptitiously to the sides after every ‘dubsmash” to keep in sync… and that’s when we catch them smiling for reelzz when they see their partner’s reaction. That’s when the real magic is captured on screen and feeds our imagination. All Alden and Maine see is an empty space, they don’t see what the audience sees. They don’t know what we know –that they sizzle on screen, that’s why we’re dying for them to be together!
But, because of how successful they are in making us they believe they are in love, we forget they really do not know each other apart from what they read and see about each other online. It’s like online dating. You can fall in love chatting, but, things could go downhill quickly once you meet. Must be hard working with someone you haven’t even met… not even texts, emails or calls.
I did noticed that Maine has lost her unbridled enthusiasm these past couple of days. Our Maine is TIRED. Now, allow me to play devil’s advocate (once again) :). It’s easy to blame Alden. He’s the one who makes her smile, stands to reason he must have done something wrong, right? Plus, the lack of pursuit on his part is evident and we are not happy about that. But, let me take Alden out of the picture. What if, hypothetically, he has nothing to do with what is making our Maine not be ‘herself’?
These days, there are times I see her ‘acting’ that is bordering on apathetic. Those 2 kids wanted to get to know each other right from the start. He freely expressed it verbally and Maine is a walking emoji. For me, she now looks like someone who is tired of getting her emotions toyed with on a weekly basis…. by the TV network. They need her natural emotions for public consumption. Her natural reactions are the hottest commodity right now. It’s raking in hundreds of millions. They’re milking it for all it’s worth.
Watch the plywood episode and see how Maine could barely contain her excitement walking slowly towards her crush… She had this bubbly air about her. I would like to imagine that if they had met then and there, Maine would have been her effervescent self with Alden, and found something more to be inspired about the next day. Unfortunately, tv network had other ideas. They wanted to draw out her emotions for production purposes.
Then, the long table episode… It’s been 2 weeks since the plywood. They have spent most of those days “kidnapped”. So, I truly think they missed each other. Here we see Maine getting all excited again leading up to the day where they could sit and talk… But, the day before the date, she is given an instruction in a form of an advice from Lola… huwag umasa. She’s already being told that what she’s hoping for is not gonna happen. It was kind of them to let her know ahead of time. The actual date lasted about 5 minutes? The show was great. The ‘date’ was ridiculous.
Then they trumpeted today as the day these 2 would officially “meet”. We are all so excited for them and wonder why Maine is not… Well, that’s the problem I think. The network (and us) keep expecting her to get excited again and again, but, from experience she knows they will just pull the rug right out from under her. Of course, they will because it makes for great entertainment! Come on, our Maine is not a dramatic actress to look to these type of rollercoaster emotions so she can channel them into dramatic performances. She’s a creative, spontaneous individual! She searches for inspiration to feed her creativity. Take away her inspiration, well, she’s just like any other actress. Except she’s not one yet. It’s safer for her to guard her emotions.
Don’t get wrong, I am not saying it’s wrong of tv networks to do this. It’s their job to keep us glued to the screen. In Maine’s excitement, the whole nation gets excited. She’s awesome! It is she who we look to now to dictate how we should feel. Must be so hard to be artista and get your emotions constantly manipulated to feed a story line. Must be exhausting to keep putting emotions on the line like this. She is not a fame whore (Kardashian). I’m sure the machination of showbizniz is starting to take it’s toll.
And, poor Alden. I think he knows the stress she’s under, that’s why he’s working overtime for the both of them to maintain the strong chemistry they have. Or, maybe he’s finally opening up everything now to let her know that she’s not alone and he’s right there with her… I’m leaning towards the latter. I have a feeling he’s quite protective of her, too… I like to dream.
There some who are saying that Alden wasn’t into Maine in the beginning. I disagree. Read Vilo’s previous post “I know what you did there, Alden Richards”, and you can see Alden had so many tells. He just knows how to school his emotions as a professional actor, and he likes to bide his time.
I love Maine’s letter to Alden. She wrote his real name beautifully, so artsy, so much love… HaHa. I am glad he shared it with us. I would like to think that the letter today was Maine’s way of letting Alden know that she understands… That she’s going to play her part as his partner.. and let us believe in forever.
I hope those 2 crazy kids are texting right now. Dammit. It’s way past time that they did!!

I stopped replying here cause I said I’ll step back and enjoy but a guilty pleasure of mine is to go back to Vilo’s blog and just check if people still reacts to ep.
Thursday ep was a gamechanger moreso what happened yesterday. The requests that we had for them to talk without us hearing it, the faster pace of the story, etc (seems like part of their staff reads our comments) were granted. I don’t want to over-analyze the ep. nor the tweets (new york) that may just be a pic that she stumbled upon and had great memories, no connection to what she currently wants. Let them take their time to
get to know each other.
Just an update on twitter though, M tweeted: Hindi pwede!- in response to a fan who asked if she can have A for herself. It seems like 1. she’s watching A in sps to know more about him. 2. She’s back to tweeting personal “parinig” in a cute way. Whatever’s next to happen, it’s up to them. All I know is they will have their moment. Let’s be patient. Reel or real, they make us happy. I just hope that they get enough rest. A looks tired earlier on SPS.

Like a few of us around here, reading this blog has become a guilty pleasure:) After all the discussions the past days, i said i would not comment anymore but here i am. So, here goes.
After all that has been said about A’s indecisiveness and missteps, i think it just proves the point that he is no player. I have heard some of the best smooth talkers around and A is the best example of how NOT to operate. I know it sounds bad but i think a girl should experience getting her heart broken by a player sometime in her life to appreciate a sincere man and his bumbling ways. We grew up (at least my generation) with cinderella and snow white with their Prince Charmings sweeping them off their feet. Sadly, it does happen but usually with a not so happy ending. Enough said:)
As for M, i like her more guarded ways these days. It’s like prove it! WORK IT GIRL !(CAPSLOCK PARA MAS INTENSE)HEHEHE

Truly if not for the loud buzzing noise my nebulizer makes at every 4-6 hrs then it would be my ipad due to multiple playbacks or differrnt parts of sat. Kalyeserye episode. Even on the road if i remembered something i wanted to double check i would again replay it. hope i dont go over my 30G dataplan. Then again i could always say used it for my GPS. It was truly a wonderful wonferful episode. It seems like u have finally accepted the inevitable Alden. She is special isnt she?! Now im glad u enjoyed being a part of her world this time. If broadway was ur sanctuary The outside is her world, u were working closely with her work family. I commend u for following her lead, for complementing her, for being her partner. It was so cute for me that Maine felt like she had to guide u, had to show u the ropes, prepare u for the joyride that is expected when u cross over to her world of spontaneity and instincts. Which i thinknis the reason she looked guarded. She had to be the actor this time to let u bring ur guard down so u could be u, u could be free. That’s how u see her world anyway. For that day she wanted u to have fun. I told u in a few days u will know she’s worth it. And as u said goodbye u not only knew it but embraced it. That is kalye serye’s gift to u. For u to find urself free of rigid rules but just to act within guidelines. That was why u were welcomed that way by paulo and jose. To make u jump out of ur skin, to be instinctive and not overthink the whole act. Maine, u did everything u can to make it easy on him. From sliding then plopping next to him, to trying to be right infront of him as u played musical chairs. U tried to keep the pressure of having to make people kilig land solely on his lap. Just goes to show how sensitive u are as a person and an actor. But what really got to me was how JOSE, PAULO AND WALLY were looking so intently at alden. Ive seen jose really looking into his whole demeanor. Like he is gauging what A’s intents are. And when he has made his decision LOLA TINIDORA was one forceful ally to reckon with. YOUR KNIGHT HAS COME ALDEN GO RIDE AWAY WITH HER!!

you said it madam.. i love how the trio treated Maine as their baby sister.. you could see how genuine they care for meng’s feelings in prior episodes.. and when they finally meet Alden, they did everything to break open the wall he had unconsciously build for himself..then all kilig overload break lose…

This made me cry, very well said.

Loved the episode! Looking forward to tomorrow’s KS. Real or not – their chemistry is undeniable. For me,it was Alden’s quiet confidence and his pag-aasikaso kay Maine that stood out. This young man has a certain calmness about him that draws you. I am officially an Alden fan.He got me at “gusto mo ng cake?”.
Alden is a perfect gentlemen. I wouldn’t be surprised if there will be legions of women who will compete for his attention once Maine decides this is all for the cameras. Endangered species na ang batang ito. If there is one thing that this show brought back – it’s the return to innocence. You feel a certain warmth knowing that amidst all the noise – something pure and true still exist…

I know i will be vilified for this (crucified even or worse, DELETED) – but for the sake of freedom of speech… let me just say that Maine is playing her cards well this time. He got Alden real bad. He is smitten. I just pray that Alden guards his heart as well. He seemed to be a really really nice guy. Someone ypu will be proud to introduce to your amigas as your son-in-law. I don’t want him dragged underneath once the fanfare tips on Maine’s side (with her being a woman in need of protection). I love them both but Alden, I think, is the better man. I’ve watched the episode several times and Maine was most definitely playing her part.

That’s an honest impression. But I think being crucified is way worse than being deleted, haha! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. 👍

ALDUB fans are the happiest, full of laughter, most loyal fanbase on earth. But say something negative about A or M, and they turn into a fireband of the most vicious nature, a seething cauldron of invective.
That became more apparent to me when they ganged up on Pastillas Girl and most recently the Tony award-winner Lea Salonga after she tweeted “that can’t be all we aspire to”. Expectedly, Aldub fans took offence and scathing comments against Ms. Salonga ensued.
Any person should have the right to voice their opinion publicly without the fear of a backlash.
As fans, It’s natural for us to be protective of A & M, but all this offensive display of ill manners is really quite disturbing. It’s one reason why I don’t bother reading the comments on Eat Bulaga’s FB page. There’s so much hostility towards the other network, so many disparaging comments, using words like kabayo, bugaw — words that assault every decent sensibility.
Grateful that Mr. Vilo’s readers do not stoop to that level. Let’s keep it classy.

We all have to really discipline ourselves before commenting or posting our position on ALDUB simply because people are in a frenzy over them. Too many emotions and personas are involved. A VERY WIDE SPECTRUM OF AUDIENCE. We have to rally at the process of thinking, opinionating, stepping back, rethinking, expressing, editing and finally posting. SENSITIVITY is key. Like i said before, we all have a moral obligation to treat each other with respect. We are entitled to our own opinion but HOW we express our opinion matters most. A basher or a bash is not limited to the confines of just harsh words. It can be spoken in the most eloquent words available in the dictionary. Because a bash comes with negativity in correcting or pushing for ones ideas. As a country or a nation composed of mostly young individuals I do hope that when the ALDUB fever has waned we have become more sensitive and positive in our dealing with social media and venues it provides us with. HINDI LANG PO ITO ABOUT ALDUB PAKIKIPAG KAPWA TAO DIN NATIN ITO. Anonymity does not shield ur true self rather it reflects the beauty or monstrosity that u keep within urself. TAO ANG KINAKAUSAP MO HINDI SI SIRI!!

So I started reading the comments–the replies etc sa naunang isinulat ni Mr. Vilo at dito. And just like that pag napapanood ko na yung episode of the day (team replay here), hindi ko maiwasang madisappoint talaga. I’m really hooked guys and just like everyone else gustong gusto ko talaga na sila na for real.
I was like ‘Hala.
…My heart felt lighter!!
I love Alden at Maine..
Ngayon lang talaga ako naadik sa isang LT o artista. I pray for them both, maraming blessings pa to come..

M didn’t have a visual of A singing, I think she only had audio and she was too focused on writing the letter that time (that she later gave to Alden, este Richard)
And if try to lip-read what they were saying at one point when they were already at the table, you would see M asking A “Kakanta ka?” while doing a mic gesture. And then A replied “Hindi mo narinig?” and you would see A (most probably) explaining to her that the song was for her. You could see M was smiling when she was hearing A explain about it.
Just to clear up, I was just lip-reading, but I’m 99 percent sure that’s what they were saying. And I’m alot more confident it now because there’s also many other people who had the same obervation as mine. So I think M’s reaction to A’s ‘harana’ of God Gave Me You was a bit dull and odd because she didn’t have a visual of it and was too busy writing ‘THAT’ letter for RICHARD.
I suggest you try to replay the scenes I was trying to point out and see for yourself. Your doubts about Maine’s reactions or feelings might change and you might to calm down and be more relaxed as I am. Don’t worry, I also felt the same way, but after closer observation and scrutiny, I kinda figured it all out.
And to all the other people who are still having doubts, I hope ya’ll read this comment and try to see for yourselves. Godbless!

AND just to add up,
I bet you that M watched the replay of A’s performance of God Gave Me You for the first time at home…and you never know, she probably might’ve cried and heartfelt the song. But like I said, you never know. Siya lang ang makakaalam… 🙂 🙂 :))))

Pa share ako ng thoughts about nung saturday first akyat ligaw.. Pinanood ko siya ng paulit ulit. Kasi ako as a fan, i have my doubts talaga between these two if theyre actually real or reel.
Base talaga sa pagkakapanood ko ng mga 10 ulit. This is actually for those who also have doubts na si M ay nag hohold back ng feelings, at sa halos ilang ulit ko na panonood let me tell you one thing. She isnt.
I mean, yeah this is from my point of view..
And at some point, binibigyan din sila ng efficient time para makapag usap, pansinin niyo nung nasa sofa sila. Hinahayaan sila ng tatlo, lalo si jose dinidiktahan niya si A na parang kausapin si M, na okay lang yan na parang get to know each other nila yun. Go lang. Then pag actingan na, syempre act again like the way it should be.
He acted like its nothing, kasi si M may sinasabi pa e. Tapos ayun nga, pinababaligtad ni M yung sulat kasi ayaw niya makita yung tunay na pangalan kasi nga special yun e. Not for A character in KS but Richard itself. (Got my own thoughts about the letter pero sakin nalang yun)
And yung last, the paalamanan part..
What i mean ay im 80% sure na may communication na sila off cam. May mangyari man na ligawan dito off cam, pamihado mahuhuli agad ng fans or paparazzi, pero A POV i know, gagawin niya yun pag ka yung kwento sa KS ay medyo comparable na sa tunay na buhay. I mean, it would create commotion para sa LT and EB. So, real gentleman A, he’ll do it when hes damn sure and perfect TI-MENG na.
For now, lets just enjoy KS yung story, yung flow.
Again, this is just my POV pero sana maappreciate niyo kasi before im a doubtfully fan pero after a long and few replays sa mga episodes im relieved, kasi im super rooting for them. Sila yung first LT na nahook ako. At gusto ko sana magkatuluyan sila.
Thanks for reading kung nakarating kayo dito.
Thanks sir vilo.

In one of my comments here, I expressed frustration over Alden’s invisible wall. He actually reminded me of my favorite character of all time, Mr. Darcy of Pride and Prejudice—ridiculously handsome yet distant, guarded, and stubborn. And Maine reminded me of Elizabeth Bennett. Full of life, unabashed, unashamed, fearless, and unapologetic.
I’ve changed my mind. Like Mr. Darcy, Alden could not help but fall in love with Maine. How could he not? Once you find a real treasure, it may take a little while, but you will cherish its value and will do anything to keep it. That’s what Alden is doing now. He probably woke up one day and realized ‘Oh shit! Mahal ko sya. Sana hindi pa huli ang lahat.’ And that’s probably why he was in tears, among other reasons.
Alden may be very successful now but I think he misses his mom. He wishes he can share this with her. He felt cheated when his mom was taken away from him.
And along came Maine. God gave her to him.
I have no doubt that through the walls that she’s placed now (smart, in my opinion…the girl has to protect her heart), eventually she will have a space for Alden in her heart. She just needs to see that he deserves that space.
I will stay tuned how the kalyeserye plays about. I will remain hopeful that when the lights and cameras are off, our lovebirds will make time to get to know each other. That if one lip reader is right, that a visit to Bulacan may be in the offing. It is exciting. Maybe in the end, there will be a kalyeserye version of Mr. And Mrs. Darcy.

Wow, what a lovely reference to Pride and Prejudice for our very own AlDub.The fans posting on this blog do over analyze and over think everything about them (like Vilo), but in a really good and positive way (just like Vilo). The KalyeSerye love story can indeed be elevated to that of a Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth, I can see that now :). “We are all fools in love”- Jane Austen. I just hope our Miss Bennet would not be quoting “My good opinion once lost is lost forever “…
Oh, I do hope he’ll visit her in Bulacan. It’s time Alden writes his own love story.

Can any one give an honest view on maine’s acts on sept 26 ep because what i saw was the same maine who’s fidgety seeing her crush. I saw the uneasy maine who kept on brushing her hair to one side on that long table episode and maine who can’t even look straight to Alden’s eyes not until the teasing of the elders on yesterday’s ep. What can you say of this vilo?

in my own opinion this is a positive sign na maging sila. I don’t know whats your opinion about this, but by saying “TULOY ANG FOREVER” to me may pag-asa
si Alden.
and about the New York tweet ni Maine maybe niyaya nya si Alden na magpunta sa New York or vice versa!! or its just me thinking too much about Aldub!!!

Hi… Im a fan of Alden and Maine. Please take time to read m.philstar.com an exclusive interview ni Maine Mendoza with Rickylo. Then you’ll find answers yung may doubt with maine’s reaction. The interview happened right after the panliligaw event…..”So is there a possibility of her and Alden becoming sweethearts in real life? May pag-asa ba si Alden kung manligaw sa kanya?
“Mayroon po!” Then she laughs and laughs.
What conditions, if any, will she impose on Alden (the way Lola Nidora makes it hard for Alden to woo Yaya Dub)?
“All he has to do is ask for my parents’ permission.”

Okay aside from KS Vilo your blog and the discussion is oh so satisfying to the senses. Sabi nga , what cannot satisfy the mind cannot satisfy the heart and all you dear fellow readers satisfy everything there is about Kalyeserye and beyond. Yes there are bigger issues but pwede naman natin silang i-address without being angry, violent and deppressive about it di ba? Okay who is with me? Who felt nostalgic about the old house setting and the three doting lolas and Maine’s outfit. It’s officially fall in my side of the world but with the last ep I am transported to s warm summer day in the 80s watching Sampaguita pic movies, laughing hysterically at Gloria Romero and Rogelio dela Rosa. I so miss the presence of my grandma especially the part where lola nidora is nagpapasaring that she’s going to take a nap. I miss that generation who are no longer with us who feels that we should not be overly casual in our actions, behavior and bearing. Their paghihigpit that is actually more of letting us know that they value us so much and that our long term wellbeing is what they are really concerned about. As to Maine and Alden’s true relationship status, I may have to step back for now. Regalo ko na lang privacy nila. I hope in the future hould there be an issue that will.arise between the two of them sana they will just keep it to themselves and not air out their dirty laundry in punlic. I do not want these precious memories they did in showbiz history be sullied by too much information that we do not need to know. Kung may hinanakit sila someday I’d rather want them to go to an empty field, magdala sila ng maraming babasaging plato and they could scream and magwala as much as they want huwg lang silang magpunta sa isang talk show so our memoy of them will not be cheapened.
