@barbaragemao: I’ve noticed several times (in old EB clips) that Alden has a nervous habit of pulling down the front bottom of his shirt. What you (& surely many others) saw in today’s episode could be a nervous reflex akin to pulling down the hemline of his shirt. He’s wearing harem pants that are loose in the crotch area. But I get your drift (I think! lol). 🙂

A’s. I mean, I get that today is a Nidora-centric episode. But why was A kept at the gazebo for the longest time? Shouldn’t he be outside welcoming Lola and M? If indeed he was anticipating their visit with utmost excitement (as he purported it to be on Thursday and Friday), he should be outside with the entire pomp and pageantry, then escort Lola and M inside, and show them around. I don’t know, but I just keep on wanting to see him break out of the angelic and pedestal mold for a bit and enthuse a bit of naughtiness. If only to keep M on her toes. The way it’s going, she’s reading his moves all too well and easy. (Remember her dozing off while waiting for his answers during the matching games? And anticipating his question with an ‘OO’ answer a split second after he flashed his question?) This 20-year old girl is fast, got wits up the wahoo, and is so far initiating all the moves that he mimics. This girl needs to be stimulated, big time, to keep her interest real. It’s very easy to make a reel tandem successful, but to carry it on to a real life tandem I’m afraid would take a lot more.

My sentiments exactly… been ranting about it here for a while. I’m still not satisfied with RFJ’s characterization of Alden (sana maturuan sya ng JoWaPao). It had to take Joey and Tinidora for that akbay to happen. And by golly, that impromptu beast mode moment of M’s vs. the audience when someone shouted “I love you, Alden” deserved a reaction from A. If he tried to appease her and motioned to M that she needn’t worry about them, M would’ve been floored and the kilig feels would be overflowing. Haay. But I am still hopeful. Kapit pa rin.

Truth be told,
A just isn’t as spontaneous as M, we can all see he isn’t really good at improv.
A executes everything well with a script, but he seems like a headless chicken without it.

I agree! Improv is not his strength. That’s also probably one reason why he was so nervous during the akyat ligaw episode he was sweating bucket loads. He was so out of his comfort zone. I also noticed that M initiated the moves and he would just follow in that episode. Him being on the “kalye” side with JoWaPao starting next week will be a good learning experience for him. Same goes for M now that she’ll be in the studio 🙂

I understand your position Senor Pedro and I always look forward to your responses in this blog but I would like to offer another view from my experience so it is a data point of one. I met my husband in grad school (Go Illini!). He was in Humanities, I was in Engineering. He is fiery, romantic, spontaneous- unplanned trips, hidden notes. I am analytical, logical. Planado lahat sa akin. He is the stereotypical American – forward and showy. I think we have a reversal of the stereotypical gender roles. I am always looking forward to what he would do and he is also eager to hear what I will say. I think our marriage is successful because we complement and complete each other. I think Maine needs a romantic type – love letters, flowers etc and I think Richard needs someone spontaneous and emotional. I see whatever they have right now blossom in real life. I can’t imagine what life would b if I married my mirror and my hubby said that had he married someone like him, they would have been divorced after two months. Again, just an alternate viewpoint….If Alden is more spontaneous, just imagine how much more kilig his spontaneity would have brought. Baka namatay na tayong lahat. See he was just after our welfare after all. I think behind the camera, they are a perfect match. As I said they complement and complete each other. Thanks Vilo for letting us invade your space. Go Gators na rin. Big fan of Tebow here. Wish our teams are as good as yours.

Spot on. This ‘switch’ could possibly get him used to the KALYE world that M has been in for the past 3 months (along with the 3 Lolas.)
And the same goes for M, this could be EB’s subtle way of training and developing M’s stage skills (hosting, singing, etc. We’ll all find out this Monday!)
But yeah, I can’t really blame A. I actually like that they’re polar opposites from eachother. It’s a lovely recipe to see and one of the key reasons why we are all SO HOOKED to this phenomenon. I’m just glad that KS isn’t at it’s very saturation point. Well, atleast YET.
(I feel slightly guilty though that A gets most of the stick)

I’m actually a bit worried about him now, because he has all sorts of things happening around him – shows, mall tours, fan days, shooting, and whatnot. He works 7 days a wk (could’ve just said everyday lol) so him working with JoWaPao may affect his health. He’d hardly get any rest. I’m hoping M would be enough to relieve his stress though. Haha.
I heard they’d start taping together for MBL on Thurs. Excited for them!

Exactly what I wanted to reiterate. Sigh. It’s as if we’re creating our own versions of expectations from M to A. Well, I’m just going to think this is more of a criticism of A’s skill as an actor, but to always associate how M would supposedly feel? Ugh. I said it before, but a lot of people here are a little too demanding – they expect A to act like in certain ways just because they think it’ll be more sensible.
Seriously. Patience, people. It’s a gradual process, but I’m sure he’s getting there. It’s not that he’s weak; M’s just too adaptable. And remember, drama was his specialty. He’s still weighing in things. I believe A’s not the type to act based on instinct; he has everything calculated. You can’t expect people to change right away. He’s slowly learning! We can all see it, right? He’s so different from what episode 1 to how he is now.

A and M have very different personalities. A is the very serious, traditonal, and well-mannered man (and probably subtle romantic). And M is more like the very jolly, spontaneous, and expressive woman that everyone loves. Like I said, it’s a lovely recipe to see.
And I’d like to quote one of Senor Pedro’s points in his comment on “I Saw What You Did There, Alden Richards!” blog of Sir Vilo:
“Could it be that her being a total polar opposite from him is what draws her to him? Yin and Yang, guys. Do not belittle the effect of Yin and Yang.”
That statement alone pretty much sums it up.

@raxmas, @polka_rose, and @Anna+Paul, I had planned to respond to your reply (to comments by Snr Pedro — btw, I think it’s scripted that Alden’s entrance is delayed — way delayed I was starting to get annoyed earlier) — anyway — you all said what I wanted to say but I will repeat and add.
A and M are two very different people. Two different worlds and approaches, and reactions. The guy is deliberate in his actions and responses, very cautious. The girl is just bam! Natural brilliance. I honestly do not find anything wrong with how they deal with each other.
A follows M’s lead because it may be the wise thing to do right now. He has been observing M and perhaps the mimickings are unconscious on his part. He does not come across as timid or lacking in creativity. Seems to me he is more careful in his actions — he’s just built that way — and as much as possible avoid any wrong moves when it comes to M.
I am not a guy but if I am, I wouldn’t know how to deal with M either. Better to follow her lead muna and to see what’s what, who’s who, which side’s surest.

@raxmas – exactly! one is comedy and the other drama- two faces of the same coin. Imagine mo na lang kung parehong dramatic iyang dalawa na iyan. Baka maya maya may away. Again based on experience, I have always been attracted to my hubby’s type. We learn from and grow with each other and eventually nahawa na naming ang isa’t isa without losing our core identity. Sigh….why are we so invested in these two strangers’ lives?

I agree. He is good at executing scripted acts but improv that’s Mengs forte. But I hope Meng will also learn how to act because in fairness to A he is a good actor. And one thing I feel that these two are an ‘item’ already so I hope they invest time into their relationship to get to know each other and business wise overcome that awkwardness thay have together. It’s time they act lovey dovey naturally esp if they need to do guestings.

Let’s not get confused between Alden the character in KS and the person behind the character. Sure we all want the story to move in a certain way but it’s not our call nor his, and it’s also not A’s fault if he had been told to stay there at the gazebo. Would you rather he throw caution to the wind and just run out to greet M? It’s good for TV, but what would it accomplish, really? I think M is not a shallow person to need to be shown one event after another. And I agree with all of you that he just isn’t good with improv. Can’t we accept the fact that that’s just the way he is. I think it’s why they are bringing him back to the streets ( I read somewhere that he has been to JFAAFJ), to develop his comedic timing and spontaneity,because he’s already good with the drama part. And M will get to showcase her other talents performing live in Broadway. I think APT wants to develop a formidable couple/LT which can handle just about everything- drama, comedy, musical-variety- that can surpass the popularity and staying power of other popular LTs? And wouldn’t that be good for all of us, as well?

True that. I thought M is too forward with her FS ‘s in the beginning. Later on I realized she is quick witted. That’s why if they are pushed as a loveteam it’s time they spend time together to develop rapport , to learn from each other’s technique and for their acts to be synchronized. Not necessarily dates tinutukoy ko pero even in the workplace rapport is needed for teambuilding. Paano nila sasaluhin isa’t isa in tv guestings? A is good in drama but comedy humahabol siya kay M.

I think A was just too tired, having just come off a flight from Cebu after a live show there and so maybe they let him rest a bit. Para kasi syang naglalagare.On the other hand, M was oozing with energy to carry A along even though she too had been working all week to please everyone. All in all, I still had so much fun and enjoyed watching this “Saturdate’s” show.

Maybe its just me but I find A boring. He’s too clean, too soft, even his hands are very soft (saw it upclose during their handshake). I find A too effiminate and too slow. He’s like a knight in feminine armor. Hope they could make him a lil edgier, a lil wittier (if that’s even possible)

I think A was not let out of the gazebo because he was instructed that way. It’s not because he does not want to come out. If you watch the replay carefully, he almost never left his gaze to M. I can actually see how much he adores her. In this episode, for some reason I find A mostly showing interest in her. First, when they first saw each other in the studio, he did again that up and down movement of his eyebrows distracting M from doing her dubsmash. Second, you can see how tight his grasp when they supposedly “shook hands” and while they were doing that, he never left his eyes off of her. M cannot look at A’s eyes for most of the time. Third, look at what happened at the last part, he CAME BACK and went first to M! He should have already left with the lolas just like in the script but NO. He SERIOUSLY CAME BACK in the studio! Yun yung moments na kinilig ako. I find M cute and all as usual. But the kilig? It was almost all A’s the starting point.
We ALSO need to consider that the family of M is watching. The audience is watching. The hosts and staff are all watching. EVERYONE’S eyes are on them. Can you imagine the kind of pressure these two have earlier? More importantly, let’s NOT FORGET what characters these two are playing. EB is trying to present the traditional way of ligawan. A is expected to be the kind of man in the past. He is SUPPOSED TO BE A GENTLEMAN. So he should maintain that image in KS.
I do not know what kind of naughtiness people are craving from him. Anong klaseng para-paraan ba ang dapat niyang gawin? A is who he is. Again and again I find him genuine and true. I find him also to be such a gentleman, soft-hearted and a very respectful young man after watching him in KS. NOW, let’s set aside these GOOD QUALITIES of him. Let us discuss the quality of being “calculating.” Is that even a BAD quality? I don’t think so. Assessing the consequences of your actions and how should you go about things IS NOT WRONG. That is just how he is.
But I understand really what you guys are saying. I think it’s a matter of what you really want from the KS. I get it. But as what others have previously said. We need to be PATIENT. Isn’t it beautiful how M affects and changes A bit by bit? On the other hand, isn’t it interesting how A DOES HIS BEST to please M in his OWN ways? He gives everything M wants. He works hard and just does that. This guy should have been very exhausted flying to Cebu fan meet yesterday after EB and coming back in Manila around 1-2 in the morning today. But you will not see any sign of exhaustion from him. He still delivers enough.
He might not be as creative and spontaneous as M but THIS YOUNG MAN WORKS AND TRIES the HARDEST. People might have frustrations about how he deals with things but IF YOU LOOK at and FOCUS on HIS GOOD SIDES, people WILL NOT BE QUICK TO ASK FOR MORE.
Alden is becoming more aggressive each passing episode. He replies to FS fast. Kisses are now mostly initiated by him. He kissed her forehead. He even kissed M during the split screen without M noticing it. He initiated that nose to nose thing. He easily gets teary-eyed and excited whenever he hears M’s voice. GUYS, ano pa ba gusto niyo? Seriously! In the recent episodes, my kilig were MOSTLY triggered by A’s actions and display of emotions.
Siguro nga kanya-kanyang pananaw. But give the young man a break. He is NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG.

Thank you. This sums up my thoughts.
Alden has not come short of what was required of him. If anything, he exceeded expectations both on his role in KS, and him as a person.
Did anyone actually expect them to develop feelings for each other? Did anyone foresee how big this phenomenon would be? Did anyone look at that July 16 episode and thought, “Yep, I want them to be together for the rest of their lives.”
None of us ever knew this was going to happen. Even Eat Bulaga never expected what would come out of having Alden watch Maine and be the focus of the studio camera while Maine did her thing out there in the streets.
People always say Maine’s feelings are on the line…well, aren’t Alden’s? Shouldn’t his feelings be considered fragile and precious, too? People want to protect Maine by ridiculing Alden and blaming him for every little thing that goes awry on KS, but we forget that these are two people who must separate their true selves from their characters on TV every single day. There’s no concrete script to stick to when KS is on. They do their own fansigns. Those cheesy pick-up lines are all Alden’s. His panunuyo when Yaya Dub is mad is all his as well.
And according to the twitter posts from one of the floor directors of EB, the presents Alden gave Maine for their weeksaries were his own ideas, too. The Hani? The HawHaw and MikMik in a box? Those were all Alden’s initiatives.
So please, let’s give him a break and stop questioning what he still needs to do to meet our standards. He’s not the Alpha male and the bad boy people keep on imagining him to be but when has being a gentleman, nice, even “dorky” type of guy become a bad thing? Alden has worked so hard for Eat Bulaga, for Maine, for the writers and staff, for the public. He didn’t have to do any of this, he truly didn’t.
What he and Maine are doing now, it’s called a gift. None of us knew any of this would come about, so why put a lot of expectations on something that was unexpected, accidental, to begin with?

I am truly having a great time going through everybody’s observations. This is what makes Vilo’s platform so dynamic, that though we all have our own set of experiences, we can somehow spin it back to the characters of Kalye Serye. We are all observers (keen ones at that), and as long as we keep sharing our observations—NOT expectations or impositions—, this is going to remain a delight to most of us.
And much like Kalye Serye, my opinions and observations traverse between the reel and real. With my comment earlier, I was clear to point out that it was the character I was commenting on. To an extent, I am also commenting on the structure of the episode, and the continuity between episodes.
@Anna+Paul , I did delve into the concept of ‘yin and yang’ previously, and I do stand by it. But in my experiences with friends, family, and myself particularly, this is a principle that comes into play once a certain level of maturity is attained. Now, I’m not saying that people aged 20 and 22 are incapable of attaining such maturity, what I’m saying is youth factors in the necessity to experience and extrapolate. It’s about reaping and sowing, laughing and crying, falling and rising. Youth is not about listening to the wise and putting on the brakes if they say so (at least not mine!). It is when we’ve earned enough battle scars and pinned enough medals on our spirits that we start to understand what it is we need to make ourselves whole.
Youth is about carpe-ing that diem! It’s about being stimulated! It’s about reaching for that faraway star even though you damn well know it’s unreachable! It’s about being excited and getting excited! For it is in our youth that we are most forgiven for our recklessness.
But blessed are the young and have the wisdom already to recognize what fulfills their destiny.

@Sr Pedro – Ok I will give you a Go 49ers! It’s our secret. Baka patayin ako ng asawa ko pag nalaman niya. His family has Bears seasons tickets and we get the tickets a few games a year. So I am a Bears fan by default. To your point, again based on my experience even at a young age I think the differences in personalities bring out the best in the other person. I was never a football fan (or sports for that matter) and he introduced it to me. Our first date was at an Illini game, the last thing I thought I would do for a first date. If we were mirrors of each other we would have had a boring predictable date. He got me to carpe the diem to the wazoo. At the same time I lent structure to his life. I thought he was on his way to becoming a professional student – someone who would take his time to finish his PhD. When I came along, he knew he had to finish it the same time I did so I gave him purpose. Again…just an alternate viewpoint. I love how respectful and introspective people are in this blog.

My sentiments exactly, BreakdMirrors. Very well said. Let’s give our young man a break, please. He is just plain exhausted. He just came from a 2am flight from Cebu. All the time he was in the gazzebo, hindi sya kumukurap.. looking intently at the monitor. He was videotaped by a Bae looking all kilig when Maine came in the studio. So let’s just all sit-back, relax and be happy because both our lovebirds are blissfully happy (based on their recent tweets after the Broadway date).
Whatever is bound to happen, will find its way.

Yeah sure, there are still things that he needs to improve like his improv and all but he’s learning everyday. Also, their differences suit them well coz it complements each other. I think it’s also what makes them click may it be in reel or real life.

I will always like that A is romantic and proper. He would be what I’d want for a daughter to date. To date. But for the love of God, if we are talking about going long-term, break out of that mold once in a while. It’s like peanut butter… i like it but I don’t like it everyday. Be a cream cheese every once in a while. Surprise us. I am now realizing more and more that the draw for me to this pair, the one that gives excitement, is Maine. Alden is awesome, don’t get me wrong and sweet, and tender and sensitive. But a pilyo Alden would be fun to watch. Hope the lolas can teach him that.

Here’s how I see it. In KS, A is playing himself, Alden Richards, while M is playing Yayadub. Yes, M may slip out of character at times but at the end of the day, she’s still playing a fictitious character. A, on the other hand, is just reacting like how the real A would react in the given situation. He is presenting himself as himself. Unless, I guess, he would be fed some lines by the people behind KS.
It’s been mentioned that in KS, there are no scripts and you just kind of go with the flow of things. That’s why M is such a perfect fit for the role. She’s a natural when it comes to improv. It’s no easy task keeping up with the constant banter of the 3 lolas. That’s one reason why we came to admire M so much. And. I guess, in a way, we’re also expecting the same thing from A. But as mentioned in previous comments, A is used to memorizing scripts then acting out a scene. This is a totally different ball game for him. Let’s cut him some slack. I’ve seen the first few episodes and and the latest ones. And I must say, I’ve seen vast improvement in him. Maybe in this “immersion” (as Joey de Leon called it), he will be able to improve himself some more.
Errr… Im not sure if What I wrote made sense. Hahaha.

Have to agree that the twist where Lola asked that A go with them is a good move. It will really be a good thing for them both.
A has been in the industry longer than M but Oct 5 episode proved that he still had tons to learn. It is a good thing, yes? The Oct 5 epi also highlighted just how easily adaptable M is. How she fills gaps on KS and how she would just break into a dance or something on the set (which is missing today with A in KS). Her improv is spot on and she is very quick witted. Her time with JoWaPao had shown her tricks she would not learn if she went straight to studio. Indeed, this time, if A is willing, he will be able to pick up invaluable lessons no amount of studio kept workshop will teach him. Being on the streets will also teach him how to handle unpredictable guests, remember the number of Sugod Bahay winners JoWaPao had in recent months that really tested the handling of a host? Kudos to JoWaPao talaga.
I also posted in twitter that perhaps now A is thinking how in the world M has been able to gracefully and graciously handled her situation in the past months. The street/barangay scenario is very raw and it exposes different things in oneself.
As regards his intentions, I believe he’s been pretty consistent in saying he wanted to know her more and personally. I will not take that against him and instead hope that he will be more active in truly wanting to know her more.
You are right, Senor Pedro, and I think you have also noticed what TVJ has observed. The girl is quick-witted and witty people needs more stimulation than most.
I will close with agreement using Joey (deLeons) remarks from a few episodes before, M will keep him on his toes and their differences in personality will make their relationship more dynamic and interesting (mine: if and when they do get to that point).

Ayaw i-focus nung camera hahaha nasa background lang kasi sila kaya mahirap makita, pero inurong ni Alden yung centerpiece and glasses sa table, tapos may tina-type sya while Lola Nidora was talking. Split second lang na camera focus, at may kinuha si Maine across the table. Hindi nya binuhat, pa-slide lang towards her.
Pero who else heard Maine ask “Alam mo na ba?” nung nag-uusap sila ni Alden sa table? Umiling si Alden tapos nilipat nung camera yung focus. Sinabi ni Maine yan before nung scene na parang kinuha ni Alden yung number nya.

Just watched a good quality replay from White Dove HD sa youtube.
Eto tingin ko.. Yung alam mo ba: i think M was asking if alam ba ni A yung swap na mangyayari. may hand gesture pa siya na tinuturo silang dalawa.
Sa exchange ng number, yung inurong nga ung mga gamit sa gitna ng table. You can see them pressing multiple times ung kung ano man andun sa gitna ng table. e malamang ano pa nga ba edi cellphone lang naman ang possible :)))

Napansin ko rin first conversation (ata) nila, si Maine nag-initiate about the hoverboard thing. I remember nag-tweet si Maine about it na nahihirapan ata siya at nagagalingan siya sa mga nakaka-operate nun. Eh diba si Alden lagi nagho-hoverboard backstage? 🙂

Kung nagpalitan man, why do it in front of live audience? This has been bothering me for a while. They both know each other’s twitter account, and they could have easily exchanged numbers via DM. Or A could ask someone for M’s number. Para paraan lang. But why do it on live tv where a billion eyes are watching their every move?

According to A kasi if hihingi siya ng number ni M mas gusto nya hingin PERSONALLY at hindi galing sa ibang tao.. Saturday lang ang chance nila magkita so baka grab nya talaga yung chance if ever “hiningi man nya”.. Hindi ba mas ok na personal?. for me napaka Good move yun.

Think this is sweeter. It won’t be hard for A to get M’s number but for A to personally ask it from M herself is sincere and more forthcoming on his part. A man asking for a woman’s number is still opening up himself up to the possibility of being rejected–I.e., no matter how slim or big the probability of rejection.

Ang nakikita kong dahilan dyan eh yung shooting ng pelikula at Bulaga pa more dabarkads pa more Grand Finals.
Inihahabol si M sa shooting ng pelikula nila tapos di pa nakakapag praktis ng ggwin nya sa Bulaga pa more, nag ppraktis na kasi ung iba.
Si A nakapag Juan for All na yan. Wala pa nun si M sa Eat Bulaga.

Okay, as a bonafied member of ALDUBHOLICS ANONYMOUS i’m here for a group hug. LOL! Okay, interesting episode today. Not as exciting as the previous saturdates but i’m okay with the new twist. I didn’t see that coming and i love the unpredictabilities of KS. Apparently EB still have some tricks up their sleeves and for that I’m happy (shalalala!)

Well, here’s a twist few of us could have predicted.
I’m excited for Maine because this will further legitimize her career as a celebrity and TV personality. Being part of EB, and sa Broadway mismo, would hone her skills in public speaking, comedic timing, and get her used to being part of the EB family.
Mukha naman magaan ang loob sa kanya ng TVJ, lalo na si Vic. Aalagaan sya ng Dabarkads. Interesting lang kung ano gagawin nya kapag Kalye Serye na.
My favourite part of today’s episode was Maine’s reaction when a fan shouted “I love you, Alden!” Instant reaction talaga, ang sama ng tingin eh hahahaha!
This episode wasn’t as thrilling as last week’s, pero mahirap naman tapatan yung last Saturday’s and the atmosphere at the studio wasn’t the perfect venue for intimacy, and Maine’s family was in the studio, too. Tama lang ang timpla ng interactions nila. Comfortable na sila towards each other and hindi na kailangan ng cues to start conversing.
I’m glad Maine was received warmly both by Eat Bulaga and the audience. You can feel the overwhelming support and love the audience has for her. She’ll be fine. I can’t wait for Monday to see what’s gonna happen, though! Exciting!
More than kinikilig, I really wanna see where Maine and Alden go from here. Hindi naman sila papabayaan ng EB and mukhang magkakasundo agad ang Dabarkads and si Maine. Siguro medyo awkward sa umpisa kasi she’s losing her security blanket in JoWaPao, baranggays, and the KS crew, and I suspect she’ll be shedding off the Yaya Dub image. I don’t think the cast of EB would call her “Yaya” if she’s hosting a segment with them.
Both of them are smart, polite, respectful people. They’ll do awesome.
Just when I start thinking they might be running out of ideas, they spring this on us. Ang tataba ng mga utak nila! Re-inventing all the time!

I agree with everything you said.
I don’t think it was a surprise that Maine was received well by the audience. If you go back to the previous episodes after she didn’t appear on KS, the studio audience cheered when Lola confirmed that she was on her way. They would also chant “Yaya Dub” when they see her for the first time on screen. Sabik ang lahat to see her. But Maine seems oblivious to all this kaya nakakatuwa sya. Nakakapagod din yung ginawa nya kanina. Yaya Dub performance level the whole time kasi nga live. Kaya nakakabilib/nakakamangha sila ni Wally.

I was feeling kinda anxious on where today’s episode would lead up to..
I had a feeling that this could be the beginning of the end of KalyeSerye for me.. Then bam, they suddenly pull me back in again!
I’m excited for this next phase of KalyeSerye, palitan ng mundo sila Alden at Maine. Can’t wait for this incoming week!

First…was sad wala kc yung isang konsintidor na si Tidora, Regine whooo!!! Another was yung mga angle ng camera parang off medyo nakakainis, dismayed na hindi ko nakita lahat ng moments ni M and A, buti pa yung studio audience. Yes, it is obvious na the two are too comfortable but it seems naghahabol ng face to face conversation. If I’m not mistaken…they’ve used their phones also to do few selfie’s, that is for rheir eyes only again. Now we can see M without the apron, the classy sophisticated glamorous M doing hosting, singing and more. I guess they will teach her how to be refined and be serious in hosting. Exciting!!! Really a twist! Wishing the best for both A and M.

I think it was deliberate that the cameras were not aimed on A & M at one point to give them sometime to themselves na they can talk. If you’ll notice the lolas all left the table of A & M, tapos the cameras were aimed at the lolas & TVJ while they were talking. Ok narin ganun so A & M can talk and act naturally.

I was like “bakit parang sinasadya ng cameraman na maging background lang sila A and M?”
And there was at one point when the “WOW FANTASTIC BABY!” song played, they both danced then as soon as the music stopped they suddenly sat back to the table so quickly then immediately went back to what they were doing (IT SEEMED LIKE THEY WERE EXCHANGING NUMBERS. AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO NOTICED THAT?)
But yeah back to your point, I guess they intentionally gave them a little bit of space from the cameras. Must be the director, eh? Respect to him. Haha, Cheers.

Sir Vilo I am always waiting for an update from you. This is my favorite forum for KS topic. I was also starting to lose interest since the date from last week. The whole week is like mediocre lang sa level ng kilig and kanina the dabarkads are scattered all over the place. Parang walang coordination, maybe I was expecting a stereotypical variety show mood but a clattered set? I said to myself this is it. It will become boring after this. I couldn’t think of something more exciting after the date and M is now speaking. But when they announced the swap?! Wow it piqued my curiosity again. I really want to know what will happen next. Here are my thoughts…. Who will host ATM with the Baes? Will yaya finally talk or will she dubsmash while hosting? Is she going to have her own segment? How about A? Will he be the yaya next? And the list goes on…….So, yes, I will watch again on Monday. Team replay here by the way.

Another thing to add sa kilig on today’s epi…yung nagshake hands sila hindi kagad nakapag spill ng line nya si M, kinilig muna pati si A. Tapos, nung pagkatapos nilang magshake hands, si A nilagay yung hand na pinang shake hand nya kay M sa bibig nya…tapos nakakatuwa yung reactions ni M nung naramdaman nya na umakbay si A, tapos si A ninerbyos na miss nya yung straw hahaha! Maybe these are the things na mababago because of the twist na mangyayari…baka ibang level of kilig na for the new chapter ng kalye serye.

Hello there aldub/maiden fanatics. I was a little bit bored in waiting for them to come out, and was not impressed by the set up..magulo lang, camera could not capture maine and alden because joey is covering them and some others, although if you replay, you could still feel the kilig factor of the two…a twist…i was a little bit afraid of maine because she was close already to the jowapao, but on the other hand it will help her honed her skills if they allow her to speak already…for alden, its jowapao’s chance to really get to know aldens true feelings for maine! Ayeeee….everyday is always kaabang abang pa din…i’ll never cease to loose my hopes in their loveteam. Kahit na im 42 and happily married. Haha.

been reading this blog for a week now since the ‘i saw what you did there’. thank you muna sir vilo for your blog. makes me smile, cry, and keep memories of those scenes. honestly, i am not into local shows. kasama ako sa mga lahi ng mga mas manonood ng game of thrones at walking dead if you know what i mean…but unexpectedly, a friend (who i think would be an unlikely fan) shared me a link of KS, and from there i got hooked, watched back all the episodes, marathon talaga, and i fell in love with these two souls, seriously. last friday before the akyat ligaw, i opened a twitter account and waited patiently for the ht at 12mn and then tweeted, retweeted like crazy! and was i so elated, so euphoric with the 25M tweets! i was tweeting until 4am the next day! and then monday came…and i share what most of you that feeling…i think it’s just natural that after the euphoria there would be a feeling of somewhat longing for that high again. and i think these times are the critical times we should be more supportive of them, this time without the obssessive stalking but the constant presence for these two. yung di na ‘in love’, but really love them, ewan ko ba, mahal ko na sila. sir vilo, you made me cry with your poem of oct1 thank you po.

Me three! Growing up in the ’60s (now you know I am quite a lot older than you guys) my parents did not allow us to watch Tagalog shows/dramas and the like…. So its Blueblood, NCIS for me! But the chemistry of KS pulled me in, see I even started using my long ago opened twitter account and learned how to post a reply here! Again thank you Vilo for this! Like all of you, with the new twist in the storyline, the ‘immersion’ thingy, can’t wait for Monday’s ep! Keep safe everyone and please do keep writing, reading your posts and replies gives a zing to my evenings!

Me, four!
I’m in the midst of Harvey Specter infatuation (and yes, swooning) when a friend introduced me to Aldub. I wasn’t curious about the LT but the improv comedy she’s raving about. As a fan of Whose Line Is It Anyway, i took a bite on the hook, then line & sinker! The LT grew into me and I cared for them all (yes, including JoWaPao) quite deeply. It’s the only local program i really look forward to watch!

Gusto ko lang i-add.. I know pwede na sila mag usap sa off cam (malamang nagka chance kanina) pero na feel ko yung awa sa dalawa na sobrang sinusulit nila yung time na nakakapag usap sila. Dahil dun sa instance na tumugtog ung *fanctastic baby, dance!* edi siempre tatayo sila tapos sasayaw. after nung song.. grabe! nag mamadali umupo para bumilk sa kung ano man ginagawa nila. haha! huhu!

@chuckbestseries if you watched Sunday Pinasaya today, I think it’s safe to assume that either they are communicating na off cam or at least texting. Nagpalitan na talaga siguro ng numbers kahapon. In the ending in yesterday’s epi when Tisoy ran back to Maine and danced with her and they did their pabebe byebye , watched Maine murmur text text and motioned it with her hands. Tisoy was asked in Sunday Pinasaya today if nagto talk and text na sila ni Maine. A week ago, he would have said no- we’d like to keep the mystery, blah, blah, blah. Typically Tisoy. But today, he said- secret na lang namin yun, uy! there goes out Tisoy, doing his own breezy moves:)

That happened ng hindi nakafocus sa kanila yung cam. Pero si arco reyes yung laging kumukuha ng pics ni maine, navideo nya yung moment. I compared it dun sa episode sa yt,,di talaga sya nakuha ng camera. Parang bumalik lang talaga si alden to properly say goodbye to meng.
That is a spontaneous move on his part.

And follow up pa dyan, it’s so endearing to see how our Meng is rubbing off on our Tisoy. In a lot of ways. When the song Fantastic Baby played today on Sunday Pinasaya, Tisoy danced with it with Meng’s signature steps. Maine is such a good influence to Alden, after so many years of believing he is all grown up at such a tender age, here’s comes this super hyper, bubbly girl and taught him how to dance and sing away his sorrows..

It’s rather refreshing that finally we can already sense a degree of comfort between A & M. That’s how relationships work right? You can’t always have your heart racing whenever the both of you are together, I mean their hearts are probably racing earlier today but not as much as when they first met. Toned down na yung kilig pero nandun parin.
I’m excited to see Maine hopefully hosting with Sam ng ATM with the Baes. Imagine Maine with her adorable face doing different pa-cute poses like what Alden does. Time narin namin na mga barako na kami ang magtili hahaha! And we’ll see Alden na nasa kalye na at definitely mas mahuhulog narin ang loob ng mga lola ngayon na maeexperience na nila ng lubusan ang pagka gentleman ni Alden.
Also I work for a media relations company so natural saakin na pumupunta ng mga press cons ng mga artista, kasi nagkaroon ako ng dream na yung mala de ja vu na nasa I attended an event for Maine and Alden at magkaholding hands na yung dalawa. Sana magkatotoo haha!
Kaya goodluck Maine and Alden! Aldub namin kayo!

Like any guy here, I am raising the feeling of new excitement this KS is about to brought us in. I was foreseeing that there is a nearly hundred percent chance this ALDUB becomes MAIDEN for real…considering that our Princess here is now building a great connection and serene moments with her Prince….Like what I am saying on my other comments, their Romance is still the most precious….. if anything would go gradual and sensual as well. KUDOS to our man here, he’s about to be indulged to the real world with the lolas.. and not a bad thing, ’cause it’s just a journey of test how deeply He may Admire, Love, and embrace our Princess….

I thought my interest in KS and addiction to it is gonna wane after today, but it didn’t. I don’t want to assume too much, but my instinct is saying that the guessing game whether each party has feelings with another is already over. What their real “status” is would be next mystery we are gonna figure out. Of course, this is just my instinct. Excited for the next chapter.

I totally agree! Haha but would be best for us to just enjoy the show. Everybody’s rooting for them, I’m sure of that. But if they ended up just being friends, I guess that won’t be too bad. I’m sure they treasure each other now. I mean, who wouldn’t after going through this kind of journey together?!
I sincerely pray my addiction die down because my thesis is glaring at me.

Dammit. Same with me. I feel like I’ve emotionally invested myself in this phenomenon so much that I think I’m gonna have a pretty bumpy ride trying to wean off this addiction (well not really, but you get it) once KalyeSerye reaches it’s TAMANG PANAHON, or in other words, the end.
That’s why as early as now I’m already trying to condition my mind that any Saturday could be THAT episode. Just so I can avoid myself from being too emotionally shocked and caught off-guard.

Oh god. Same here. We seriously need a therapist! Haha. I feel like I’ve been hollow for too long already and they’re the only ones filling this infinite void inside me. Well maybe even if that Tamang Panahon comes, there’d be still so much to look forward to about them! Cliched it may be but every end is a new beginning. Maybe we could also start finding our own tamang panahons after they find theirs (lmao). They would remain an inspiration, that’s for sure.
I do pray for them. They’ve seriously changed so many lives, including mine.

same here. Learned a lot about myself ( how my concept of entertainment has evolved ) , learned to be mindful of other people’s feelings, learned to be patient and forgiving of other people’s judgements (?), found a way to assert the Filipino values and tradition to my son without being to pushy nor negative ( left that part for the Lolas ), found out how limited my son’s vocabulary in Filipino is ( I have always tried to keep him speaking in Filipino when he’s home ), most importantly I LEARNED THAT I HAVE TO BE POSITIVE, NOT JUST IN DEALING WITH MY PERSONAL LIFE BUT IN HOW I VIEW MY COUNTRY AS A WHOLE, THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY.
If we believe that we are not JUST what we watch, that there is depth in the viewers of this show I hope we all CONTINUE to be SENSITIVE, DECISIVE, AND COOPERATIVE. I feel insulted that ” pano na ang bansa natin ” has ever been used to depict me. So everyday I will work harder, with more compassion to my foreign patients so that I can say ALDUB wasn’t just a showbiz phenomenon, it was my LIFE’S PHENOMENON AS WELL.

So glad to know that Im not the only one who got so addicted to this phenomenon, to the point that Im spending 30 mins in the toilet every now and then during office hours just to watch the clips and read tweets. Buwis hanap buhay na to! Haha.
I also never imagine that I will be a stalker. Grabe. Im losing a lot of sleep just to stalk them. But I cannot totally wish na mawala na tong addiction ko kasi I think it has good effect on me. Really. My stress reliever.

Same here! May mga tanong ako at fears sa isipan ko like, “pano kung wala ng kalyeserye?” Ang laki ng nabago sa akin ng kalyeserye ng dahil ky M at A. I am not fan of watching tv kasi mas nakababad oras ko sa laptop kasi since my work is a web developer! Yung pang stress reliever ko lang ay US Series, Manga, Anime, Video Games! Pero 1 time nakapanood ako ng KS, dang! Ano toh? Nakapagmura ako ng wala sa oras at hinanap ko first episode nila! Nag movie marathon ako from episode 1 during my work hours. Di na ako halos maka-concentrate sa trabaho ko (as an OFW – Online Filipino Worker haha) kasi i’ve been stalking and reading twitter comments! My God anong nangyayari sa akin! To end this, kakayanin ko kung magtatapos ang KS soon! Di ko makakalimutan ang saya at turo ni ibinigay as akin ng KS! Binago niya ang pananaw ng buhay ko tungkol sa ating makabagong panahon! Sometimes we need to step back sa nakaraan at isipin na minsan may mga values and morals tayo na nakakalimutan na natin! Our country needs this! Our fellow Filipinos need this! To M an A, sana magkakatuluyan kayo in real kahit di man ngayon pero sa taman panahon!

I have the same feeling. I never thought I will love KS so much. Stress reliever talaga. I’m a busy Mom w/ 2 beautiful kids and a full time job. To think I keep saying I don’t have time to because of deadline, deadline & more deadline.Geeee I have 2 presentation to finish but KS pa more. I guess it really eases my mind seeing Alden & Maine 2 lovable couple. I’m hoping early next year makabisita kami uli sa Phils. I really want to visit EB.

I liken this Aldub phenomenon to a buffet: everyone at the table is full with laughter, kilig, love, energy, anticipation, etc., and everyone wants to stand up and move away from the table but the Chef and his crew keep bringing some more mouthwatering dishes with promises of more to come that one can’t stop taking one more helping after another! It’s like, omg, get me out of here, but wait..!

I think the problem is that Alden Richards isn’t taking his acting role in KS seriously? After all, when this started out, all that was expected of him was to sit there and “magpacute” (which he does perfectly). But it’s now evolved into something that requires more from him? It has become a crucial role already (or is it just me being demanding?). Now that this gig has reaped him so much blessings, I hope he treats his Alden role like he does in his movies – give some thought to his character development.
Kanina naging Wally and Maine show na after the TVJ serenade. So I’d like to use this space to give props to the 2 of them (Sure, Jose did a superb job dancing and entertaining everyone but really he is still just Jose in drag)… the two were in character from the time they arrived until the end of the show. To pull that off for that period of time live (with no commercial breaks and no real activity/story to work with? haha). Ang galing ha!

NO. You are actually right. M is supposed to be yaya dub. But how about A? He only carries himself as his character. Well let’s see how things will go on Mon. I’m feeling the excitement already!

i meant you are right that in the first place A only has himself as the character in the kalyeserye whereas M has yaya dub as a character. so it’s probably why there is some sort of confusion as to how A should act whether as an actor or him being real. But I don’t agree that A is not taking his acting seriously. He actually chose NOT TO ACT but be HIMSELF in the KS to give real emotions to the viewers. That is why I LIKE THE WAY HE IS NOW. 🙂

I realised now na it’s like his options are TOTOHANAN BA or AKTINGAN LANG. I think A chose the former. He chose to be true and be himself and I’M SO PROUD OF IT.

See, this is confusing me.
People would say Alden is not genuine and he’s just acting because all he did was smile and dance around, and he’s not reciprocating Maine’s transparency and emotions. People question his motives all the time because “he’s such a good actor, I don’t know if he’s showing his real self, I feel sorry for Maine.” People felt he was too ‘showbiz’, too guarded, too serious that they can’t feel anything sincere from him.
Now he’s showing more spontaneity, assertiveness and personality, as well as genuine affection towards her, then he’s not taking his role in KS seriously, he’s not being enough of an actor, and it’s still not a good thing?
I honestly don’t expect anything from him at this point. If all his efforts had not convinced people he’s a good actor AND a genuine guy, then I don’t know what would.
I don’t know how anyone can look at Alden and say he isn’t doing enough of a good job with his role considering all the physical tasks he had to do to move the story along. Have we forgotten that he ran to EDSA in the sweltering heat? That he tried to fill a tub with water all so he could see Maine? That he was sitting out there in the street after failing to run after Maine, emoting like something tragic happened, and people were swarming him and taking photos and videos? That he, fresh from a trip from Bicol, and must have been exhausted out of his mind, swam with his clothes on to retrieve chilies at the bottom of a pool to satisfy Lola Nidora’s requests?
That just this afternoon, he must been bone-deep tired coming home from Cebu and still coming to Broadway to shoot for EB?
The poor boy has been run ragged since this all happened (as is Maine). He was even sick just this past week. He doesn’t get a day of rest. But he always shows up to work, all smiles and like he doesn’t have the flu, just to entertain and bring joy to the masses. His efforts in this whole thing go way, way beyond smiling and dancing around and interacting with Maine. The boy has been pushed to the limit and he has taken it all in and done whatever was required of him.
And he didn’t have to do any of that. He could have just said, “To hell with all of this, I want no part of this loveteam and KS”. But he didn’t. He performed everything and he succeeded because he wanted to, and he was dedicated to provide entertainment. Somewhere along the way, his feelings for Maine changed and it became more than an acting gig for him.
Sa totoo lang, kulang na lang ata eh sambahin ni Alden si Maine to completely show how invested and serious he is about all of this.
I cut him some slack because it’s not easy. If this all goes down the drain, Maine will be supported by her family and by the looks of it, the public as well. But Alden? He has more to lose. He stands to lose so much now, since he’s been having a lot of trouble keeping a lid on his emotions lately and one wrong, misinterpreted move can end his career.

Lol-ed at the “I know I don’t have a life.” Haha yep yep! He’s a changed man, really. I could only imagine Maine re-watching A Walk To Remember, crying at how Jamie changed Landon so much. She’s the living Jamie now.
And did you guys notice? Two of the songs she sang when she began singing this week were from AWTR (Someday We’ll Know + Cry). That movie must be her favorite haha.

Thank you for raising that part about the physical challenges. I never forgot that. And I do recognize how difficult that had been and that his commitment to doing those tasks had not only moved the story along but had added to the thrill of the show… To be fair, all of them have exerted a lot of effort into this show. I will not question that.
As for A’s real feelings, I won’t speculate on that (I never have). But assuming that he does have real feelings for M, I would expect that he would act on that BTS (I don’t think they can drag M’s parents into the show so he can ask permission from them if it were real… and would you seriously want anything real to play out in public? I’m rooting for their epic love story, too, but I hope it happens in private as it should. Otherwise, I’ll just watch the other show; I don’t really want to do that.). If he is merely being himself and relying on his real emotions to drive his character in KS, then the story is screwed. He has to be professional about this gig and deal with his real feelings on his own time. And that was where my comment was coming from. Now that the story has no real conflicts to react to, it is up to HIS character to create the action. Here is where I find him lacking. Notice that all initiatives for them to meet are coming from Yaya’s side (do you seriously want a story of a woman chasing after a man?) Now, I don’t expect him to do anything too physical because I am also aware of his work sked. I just need to see his character to show more initiative in pursuing Yaya Dub/assuring her of his love for her. Seriously (since dramatic actor naman talaga sya) yung todong masugid na manliligaw talaga…. yung noticeable hindi yung medyo creepy na umiinom sa basong pinag-inuman din ni Yaya. Yung GUMAGAWA ng ninja moves na hindi na kailangan gawan ng ninja moves ni Yaya.
I hope this clears up the confusion. I’m rooting for him, too, and I am excited for the coming episodes.

I think kung nasa stage pa rin siya na ayaw niyang mamisinterpret ng concerned party/maine/jowpao and everyone else overly worried about maine’s feeling (i mean seriously i dont think maine is gullible, this baby treatment given to her is quite irritating na din) medyo lokohan na ata. kasi FEELING ko, feeling ko lang ha, yung assurance for that nakuha na niya sa letter ni M. Pansinin nyo yung actions nila dba gumaan. si A mas naging comfortable na sa pakilig sa split screen and the KILAY-CONVO din….
and isa din ako sa mga nghohope na maging real pero mas gusto ko mangyari yung development off-cam; iba kasi demand ng public if ngstart tlga on-cam.. haaay bsta im really not good with words pero sana nagets nyo point ko.. hihihihi

So it turns out A had some ninja moves after all. It’s just that they’re too ninja/stealth for live theatre so I still stand by my comment. I don’t have the patience to wait for vine uploads to appreciate his performance. I should’ve said breezy moves siguro instead of ninja.
I also agree with you that Maine isn’t gullible. I think so many people are underestimating her competence and it’s probably good to some extent so people are awed when she comes out and does her thing. I tried not to be offended for her when I read Wally B’s interview on Pep.ph where he interpreted M’s actions to mean “marunong ka na rin umarte” when I saw it as M just being professional. Though I admit to underestimating her drama skills so I was floored when I saw her performance yesterday. I sense the same is true for how she handles her personal life.
Gets ko yung point mo about the development of their relationship and the public’s expectations. (We may have different speculations on what the card contains, we have the same feeling as to its effect.)
Taon pa siguro ang aabutin ng tamang panahon for Richard and Maine (kasi naman di pa nga nagsasama ng matagal yung dalawa e) but for Alden and Yaya, I hope it’s soon. At sana umayos na si Alden. (Katyaw version: Alden, umakting ka naman uy! Nilalamon ka sa aktingan ng baguhan kasi di ka man lang umeeffort!)

May I also add that I posted this thinking that it may not be his improv skills that need work after all. It’s his dramatic acting skills that he must capitalize on now (read: taking his own acting advise by surprising Yaya this time). When he realizes that he has to act then he’ll react more appropriately kasi magaling naman talaga siya when he knows his character well. I don’t think this will take away from the genuineness of his emotions.

Sorry, it was not my intention na mang”wasak”. I was just sharing my insights on the KS because I am a bigger fan of the show than I am of the personalities. I am drawn to the show for its live improv comedy… and now the drama, too. Haha.
I think I’ll choose to have more faith in A’s competence (though I admit that it is baseless because I have not seen any of his work yet; just relying on reviews).
That said, we can’t expect people to get our POV’s because people here converge for different reasons (some are fans of Aldub, A/M/JoWaPao, MaiChard, EB, etc.).
(In reply to your separate comment about trite posts:) The sad truth is that not everyone here has the ability to read context. So those of us who can just have to be more understanding of them. It was the emotion-inducing words of Sir Vilo that got most of us here anyway so it’s no surprise that we have emotional comments from so many people. It’s Sir Vilo’s blog so it’s his prerogative to allow such comments to be posted. (Sir Vilo, thank you for letting me post ha)
On a different note, (I know it’s a stretch) but I am wondering if my expectations of A is a reflection of the differences in perspectives of men and women when it comes to courtship (I have a female perspective). I am curious to know a man’s perspective on whether A’s subtle gestures like the pag-inom sa baso accurately represents the men but may come off as lacking or creepy for us. Haha. (Though it won’t change my mind about A’s lack of action for live theatre.)

Tumpak! Lately halos laging dreamy/teary eyed na sya pag nakatitig kay M mapa split screen man or in person sa mga dates nila, ibang iba na kumpara nung nagsimula pa lang ang KS. Sa mga nagsasabi na hirap sya sa improv o walang script eh talaga naman halos walang script sa KS bas sa sinabi ni Joey noon na may outline lang daw ang mangyayari sa araw na iyon. At sa palagay ko ang pagsama nya kay Lola N ay more on para maipakita nya kay Lola na sincere sya sa pag pursue kay M. Abangan na lang natin kung ano ang mangyayari sa Monday

After he obviously got touched by M singing Cry I totally melted. I am just waiting now for them to slay wit their powers combined. Sana they will learn from each other’s technique. They are good in their own way otherwise we will not be at the edge of our seats right now.

I just couldnt write it down coz I get so frustrated when people just keep on blaming A when they didnt like what happened in KS that i would just stop reading altogether. Seriously, we need to show some appreciation to the guy. Yes, we all love M and want to protect her and all but A has feelings too. He could get hurt too and yes, he actually has more to lose if this would fail. So can we just give him some slack when he seems to be too “calculating” for us. Let us try to understand that maybe he is being too calculating coz he values this so much that he has to think real hard first before he acts or he might lose this. He is doing all the best that he can to give what people expect and so much more. Like what I’ve said on my comment before, let us not forget that A brings in half of the kilig that makes us love this couple and that Aldub will not be Aldub without Alden.

Totally agree with what you said. A has also invested a lot in KS, para nga siya si Superman. Ok maybe perhaps dahil he needs to do it because it’s part of his job. But c’mon, the episode where he had to go to Bicol twice in the week. He came back that Thursday for the weeksary and again that Saturday (anticipating he would meet M), but only to face a challenging trial from Lola Nidora. EB could have told him to skip these days for his own health (knowing how EB Dabarkads care about each other). To think that he has already done difficult tasks in previous episodes, so if he missed this challenge ok Lang. Let’s exclude nalang this Saturday gone I guess he needed to be there, kasi eto na yung time na magkita at magkausap sila for the sake of their movie.
But this is what I think – I think that M is like A’s energy drink and a happy pill. He wouldn’t want to miss an opportunity to see her or even communicate with her even sa split screen kasi his day will not be complete. Parang tulad ng dating satin ng KS. M is so refreshing kasi. She comes up with little surprises that makes everyone curious of what she’ll do next. Like nalang nong kinanta nya yung ‘cry’ (guys paki confirm kasama ba sa script yon? o talagang from M?).
I guess what I’m trying to say is let’s give A some slack. We have to face it, whether A is acting or not, at the end of the day it’s still ONLY a show. (Although, deep inside of me, I am still wishing that it will end up sa totohanan).

I think the transition happened throughout the week (the first time she talked/sang). But yes, Oct 3 was her formal “welcome to the EB family” day (it’s her 3rd monthsary as a Dabarkads) and I think EB’s acknowledgement of Maine and Wally’s contribution in the KS (They deserved the harana…though, c’mon, who doesn’t know Yaya Dub by now?). Yung official intro ni Maine sa public, hopefully sa Monday mangyari kaya I’m excited for that, too.

Love how Maine looks so comfortable on that stage. Extemporaneously or otherwise, she’s gonna do great.
RFJ is an actor and a TV host. He’s been so used to following a script, he’ll be a fish out of water doing improv. And from what I’ve seen so far in his segments with JoWaPao and Yaya, he is bit slow on the uptake. But we’ll see. This would be a good opportunity for him to loosen up a bit and think better on his feet.
So goodluck to both of them. Looking forward to see how this new twist plays out 🙂

Just to add to this, maybe spending more time with JoWaPao will help him with his improvisation / impromptu actions and might get good tips on how to take his pursuit of yayadub (and/or M off-cam) since they know her and are protective of her. 🙂

Today epi wasn’t as fluid as last Saturday’s epi but nevertheless a very important one. Tisoy is very predictable yes, but he has his own breezy ways, we just have to be really focused. After the handshake, did you notice how he immediately put his hand on his face to sniff what was left of Maine’s fragrance in his hand? After he took their selfie using Maine’s phone, his hand was shaking when he handed her phone back to her – and not only that, it’s as if he is longing to connect with her physically, he slightly brushed his finger on Maine’s. And boy it burned her, Maine had to check her finger. I thought she’d even put it in her mouth to cool it down. Please correct me if I’m wrong. These two long for each other, body and soul. But they don’t know it yet. I have a feeling their love story is so great in their fast lives, great but full of challenges and pain, hundreds or maybe even thousands of years ago that the universe has to make up for it in this generation, big time.

Sally Domingo: It looked like Alden kissed his fingers (and, perhaps, smelled it too!) where Meng left an imprint from their handshake. At least, that’s what it looked like to me.

I was also impatient with A at first although I have always maintained that he is my one and only “manok” for M. Isa ako sa na hihilo sa urong sulong nya, but as each week progressed I came to realize and accept that A is A. Steadfast, persistent and true to himself. As much as I want to see them burning up the screen with cliched moments…I find the subtle reactions more endearing…mas tagos sa puso kasi you can feel the sencerity. Whatever M wrote on that card set him free. Now he just lets it all show. Yeah, compared to M’s “spicy” personality he comes out pale at times but he is being Richard now and I think M sees that. She was even asked once if she likes to be Maine Richards, to which she replied no…because he is a Faulkerson not Richards.
Now I can sense a certain air of confidence in their interaction that somehow tells me they know who they are exactly in each others life. I Am confident that this “tamang panahon” thing really has a shot of arriving at FOREVER land. They know it too, that’s why they are taking scenic route.

Yun na nga eh. I don’t understand why there are still people saying that he is not making any move when in fact he is, right under our noses because right now the show is the only place where they can meet legitimately. very subtle lang yung moves because he knows M is sensitive enough to know the difference between what’s for real and what’s for kilig purposes only. Here’s hoping he learns to think quickly on his toes when he does his OJT with Jowapao, because then I can’t imagine how awesome their pairing can be.

@lavigieburgos, you have to keep watching that scene over and over and over again to notice it, coz I did:) A did not touch Ms finger, he brushed his finger ever so lightly when he handed her back her phone after the groufie. Gestures or moves like that project so much longing from A to connect with her physically. I like it better than the the handshake coz it says so much more. The handshake was an order from lola, the akbay was from the dabarkads, but those little, unnoticed moves are from A himself. Pumaparaan din, in his gentlemanly ways. In their own time, and given more time to spend with each other, we all know deep in our hearts, papunta na sila where we all want them both to go. It’s just so amazing to watch them blossom, complementing each other in ways beyond what typical LTs do. More than their good looks, it’s how their aura or “light” together that is gives us our highs. Their light is so bright together, we are mesmerized by it, and makes us gravitate towards them.

Wow what a twist, so swap sila ngayon but is it just me na gusto magkaron ng love triangle, para naman hindi boring and the kilig factor goes up if there’s some sort of conflict. I’m actually rooting for kimpoy feliciano to play the part para intense. Don’t get me wrong, I still like A for M pero nung nabasa ko yung tweets ni K about M kinilig ako, he really has a big crush on M. Hindi man sya super gwapo like A pero charming, ganda ng smile and looks tall din.

Eto na naman po tayo tungkol sa Kimpoy na to, I have nothing against the guy pero mahirit sya sa tweets, aNg advantage ng batang to ay mga banat lines nya na madalas kaugnay sa mga nagyayari sa KS, maypagka “bolero” sa palagay ko at saka ano naman ang napatunayan ng mga tweets nya kundi sa paghanga samantalang yung katambal ni M na si A ay nagpapakahirap hirap at hindi umaangal sa mga pagsubok ni Lola. Sa palagay ko ay maganda ang hulinh kaganapan na pagsama ni Lola kay A para mapatunayan ang kanyang sincerity sa pag pursue kay M.

Naiintindihan ko ang iyong nais ipahiwatig at nirerespeto ko ito, ako man paminsan napapaisip kung ganun paulit ulit na lang ang kaganapan pero kita mo andito pa din tayo sumusubaybay. Yung sa pag swap nila A at M madaki pwede mangyari, siguro naman alam na din ng creative writers ng EB at KS ang kanilang ginagawa kaya abangan na lang tain ang mangyayari, enjoyin na lang natin habang andyan pa ang KS.

I actually like the love triangle idea. Kaso hindi si Kimpoy. I’m thinking of young actors who are used to the same genre as Maine. Yung mga may pagkakomedyante like Sef Cadayona or Andre Paras (or any guy who can match wits with her kasi seriously she has mad skills) and riot yon kung may makasundo syang character na kahit di singgwapo/sikat ni Alden pero decent looking para may element of reality (basta wag si Jose or Paolo in another character). Para may pagka true-to-life din. Kasi I bet maraming barakong gustong pumila to get Maine’s affections in real life who can give the love she deserves naman. At kung pepetiks-petiks si Alden, pwede talaga siyang mauunahan.

Aren’t you guys tired for Alden? Ang dami niya nang ginawa nung bata just to get to this point. I actually like that the story now is now inclined more on the development of the love between these two. They’re feelings are finally locking down on each other tapos lalagyan pa ng curveball, parang cheap shot na kasi pag may love triangle pa just to prolong the tamang panahon na hinahangad nating lahat.

That moment that M sang ‘Cry’ to him what jumped into my hopeless romantic mind is the line,” so how does it feel to get touched in the deepest recesses of your soul where no one dared to venture?”. He trembled. Wow kung actingan lang iyon, iba si A pati body functions niya kaya niya kontrolin hanggang pawis on cue full pores. But then he also invested a lot of energy, effort and perhaps emotion into their LT and right now they have the Midas touch. Everything they touch turns to gold pati sardinas napansin. So it’s so unfair that they are yet establishing their LT here comes someone who will benefit from it by association na hindi naman niya pinaghirapan. Huwag muna.

I agree . People like to say it’s tough for Maine putting her feelings on the line every day but people fail to realize it’s the same for Alden.
Parang paglalaruan lang ang feelings nung bata kung may ipapakilala pang 3rd party para lang sa entertainment ng audience. Unfair naman yun. Ang laki na ng hirap ni Alden tapos may papakilala pa na baka magpapogi lang and all because people want to be thrilled?
Isipin nyo naman si Alden as a person, not as an actor. Objectified ang labas ng bata from the comments na maglagay ng isa pang guy to court Maine so Alden would be jealous and mapahaba lang ang kalye serye.
If people care more about prolonging a TV segment over an actual person then just say so, pero wag naman palabasin na disposable yung bata at pwedeng subukin ang nararamdaman all the time.
How do people feel when others try to dictate what they should feel and do? It actually sucks. The feeling sucks. So I don’t know how some can casually say let’s have another guy on the show so Alden would be forced to admit his feelings. I mean, come on. You may not like him but to play with his emotions like that is ridiculous and treading on dangerous grounds. This is not a teleserye make believe, these are real people with real feelings.
Baka ang 3rd party na yan ang sumira kina Alden and Maine and then people would be mad all over again because of some perceived offense Alden must have done because that’s how most comments usually go.

Honestly, I doubted A’s feelings towards M before because as a mother I don’t like my daughters get brokenhearted that’s why I was like rooting for Kimpoy before, but, when I read all the comments in this blog, my feelings changed and I am for A. I felt guilty for questioning A’s truest intention to M when I saw how A overcame those challenges given by Lola Nidora. I replayed all those Kalye serye episode since Day 1 and there was really a change of behaviour on A. I guess M’s positive jolly outlook has influenced A that the latter has started to be more open, to be more vocal about his feelings. There are so many instances that he initiated in kissing M. Sometimes he looked for ways to get M’s attention.
With the new twist the KS is doing, I am sure that there will be more kilig to look forward. Let us just sit, relax, watch and enjoy every KS episode.
Lastly, I salute you Vilo Velky for the wonderful blogs you made for A and M! I always look forward of reading your blog about AlDub. Solid AlDubaddict ako eh! hahaha.

Sana magtiwala din kayo sa kanila that they are smart, professional and open-minded actors who can handle the emotional requirements of the KS.

Sure I know that they can handle the emotional requirements of the KS just as I trust EB’s writers to not play with feelings, that is why I don’t insist on how the story and the characters should unfold. But there are real people behind these actors, and I feel almost certain that they are aware of Vilo’s blog, and that they have read the comments here, and some have really been very hurtful, especially to A. I know there’s a very long line of men who would be more than willing to profess their love to A and give her “the love she deserves”, but who are we to imply that A can’t give her that? Let them chart their own fate, ganoon lang. They have already given us a lot of happiness, aside from making us ponder what we should value in our own personal lives.

Yes, I can. And I will continue to do so. They’re professional actors for crying out loud. You think comedians don’t have problems? But they will still laugh and make us laugh if the scene requires it. They don’t bring their personal burdens to their performances. Ganyan ang buhay nila. Kahit may LQ ang magLT, magpapakilig pa rin. Or kahit masaya sila, kung kailangan umiyak sa eksena, iiyak.
I’m actually showing more respect for them as individuals because I’m not undermining their competence as professionals (kahit bata pa sila o baguhan lang).

Actually, I honestly think we don’t need a 3rd party here. I agree that Maine needs to get exposed and trained in other areas like hosting and singing and gain confidence in the process. But more than that, I think the “swap” move from the writers hopes to put Tisoy in his place, where we all want him to be. 11 weeks of Kalyeserye and Tisoy is secured with everything about Meng, kabado oo, pero alam nya andyan lang si Meng. And like Meng, we are all patiently waiting for Tisoy to make that move to level up whatever they have or put a label on it. With that swap now and all the possibilities waiting to happen, I bet Tisoy would have to make his moves sooner than he plans. Maine would be surrounded with boys her age- the baes would be there everyday, and different male guests each show. Maine might develop a professional rapport with Sam that can actually trigger insecurities on Tisoy’s part. To watch her and Sam having fun hosting ATM with the Baes let’s say, kakaselos kaya yon kahit pa sabihin nating trabaho lang. Just seeing her with any man if he is truly liking her already would pierce his heart. And I thought tuloy tuloy na yung dalawa after the akyat ligaw epi, boy was I so wrong!

This came to my mind too. It would be nice if she will learn from Sam hosting because he is articulate and intelligent based from the way he talks. And yes common ground nila they are both baliw. I am thinking if it’s the right time to take away Kalyeserye from EB make it a separate show for prime time or sitcom.Line of story about A and M and everyday life. Si M foundling raised by Jowapao, kaya unconventional family niya. Si A from a prim and proper family tapos nandoon line of story about them pero plot is about random stuffs from everyday life. Parang How I Met Your Mother at Big Bang Theory. May vanity card din after each show nandoon pangaral. Pwedeng story about adventures and mishaps ng in a relationship status. Nandiyan kunwaring nag-community service sila hinabol sila ng aso tapos si boy sumabit sa tricycle iniwan si GF. At si GF sa galit nakipagbreak. Kung nagyari sa iyo mapapatawad mo ba? This is from a cousin’s relationship adventure in the ’80s.

Good point. Naisip ko nga rin yung TMB winner kasi nagka-dubsmash collab na sila kaso he’s not really an actor. Maybe just her rapport with other hosts and guest talents would be enough of a romantic foil nga. Though I trust EB creative peeps to keep the story exciting. They haven’t failed me yet.

I do respect your opinion but i think hindi na kailangan ang magkaroon pa ng Love triangle. Yes may point na magsasawa din tayo. Pero yung ginawa nilang twist sa KS, feeling ko lang naman is ni reaready na tayo for new character for M. And A
Maine talga not yaya. Para once na sanay na sya ready na si M for bigger responsibilities. And tanggap na naman ng JOWAPAO si A, need lang nila talagang kilatisin if sincere tlaga si A (which is i think sincere ang laki na talaga ng changes ni A simula ng akyat ligaw hindi na masyadong stiff).
For love triangle it not good idea tlaga kasi for sure marming mambabash at maraming magagalit . And i think magiging unfair yun sa part ni A kasi ang laki na ng pagod at hirap nya for this. Tapos all of a sudden may susulpot na lang bigla

I feel the same way he/she does (on a story standpoint). Maybe Kimpoy can match wits with M on twitter but it may not necessarily translate into good acting chemistry. (Yung real-life chemistry, I’ll leave that for M to decide.)

I feel like if KP even gets casted into KalyeSerye (which I’m 101% sure he won’t) it’ll really start to ruin the morals that KalyeSerye was always trying to teach us.
And that would also make KalyeSerye almost the same segment as that disgusting bacholerette-esque lovesearch show on the other channel. You know the.. err. Pastillas Girl. *pukes* (No offense to Showtime fans, but good lord, ARE YA’LL FORREAL??)
So yeah, adding Kimpoy would be a stupid idea. And any ALDUB fan who even suggests that isn’t thinking carefully. Or should I say, stupid? Yep, I’m not gonna filter my words here. Deal with it, lol.

Sir Vilo thanks a lot…I am a stalker…love reading these comments (thank you guys)…it makes me more get hooked to KS EB and A&M…I can’t organize my thoughts but all I can do is just read, feel the spontaneous kilig moments and team replay (12 hrs diff timezone)…even I am in my late 40’s now (feeling teenager again)…I still feel the intensity of longing for this LT to materialize for real. For the past few days, pinagsasalita na nila si M so I was expecting na she’ll be based sa broadway kasi dinudumog na din sila ng mga tao sa kalye but di ko inexpect yung switch ah. Ang smart nga talaga ng mga taga EB. They will keep us hooked but I’m not sure if this is enough para panoorin ko pa din ng live at paulit ulit pang ireplay sa Youtube and isang episode. Tingnan ko na lang sa Lunes kung ano ang gagawin ng dalawa and will decide from there.
The big switch is an OJT for Maine and Alden. EB for sure will try to hone A & M to different facets of entertainment. I’m sure Maine will learn a lot from dabarkads and Alden too with JoWaPao. This will be an exciting experience for both. 🙂
Now, I read this entry when it had only 15 comments. I went back to check on the comments and boom! Spotted some undesirable (atleast for my taste). Sorry! Ayaw ko lang bumalik don sa pagiging negative ko kay A at pagiging sobrang obsessed ko kung real or reel pa ba. Ayaw ko na din nung nageexpect ako kasi nakalimutan ko ng i-enjoy yung serye. Nakalimutan ko din na these kids are actors, they follow a story line, they have directors and writers and this is a serye.
I’ve actually edited my comment for nth times. I went too emotional since I felt we are being unfair that we expect too much from A. Kalma! Iba-iba ang ‘learning curves’ nating lahat.

just like most people here I also ewpected so much frm A and protective towards M, until I read this one article frm a newspaper, I think, about A’s bad experience with LT. He was paired with this upcoming singer. but the fandom of this singer didn’t like him for her coz he was not that popular yet despite many projects and awards he received. besides another more popular guy was being paired with her. They bashed and accused A of just riding with the girl’s popularity. They even dragged the name of A”s mom in the issue. and I think that was the reason why A decided to go solo until ALDUB was born.
And I think that same incident was the reason why we saw Alden as cautious and calculating and however we describe his actions. I think he is afraid to be accused of taking advantage of the hype for his own gain. Especialy when he was really the first to benefit from this. (too many to mention). Being a gentleman that he is, he didn’t want to take advantage of M’s obvious reaction to him by lying that he also felt something . and admire him now for that.But now that reaction changed. and I think one of the reasons was he read your blog Mr Vilo and othei blogs related to ALDUB, he came up with a decision to finally take the risk and own up to his feelings. (based on my observation.) And when M gave that letter he finally let go. We will never know why and lets leave them to it.
My point? Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. I know God will always Guide them because tggey loved and blessed.

I think it is about time that they move on to the next level and then we will just take it from there. I’ve always been analyzing each gesture and move of this LT to the point that my mind just freezes and can’t think anymore. It’s like my brain is saying, hey, I give up! Please can we give it a rest? This early morning at around 4:00 I just fell asleep without dreaming and replaying the scenes in my mind. Maybe that is what I should be doing for the meantime since there is a shift now. I will see how it will work with this introduced change. I’m honestly getting drained already. I need to renew my energies in alignment with the flow, observe without pressure, analyze without being affected and to remain hopeful as I too move on to the next chapter.
I feel like being back in grad school but I really appreciate the intelligent exchange of ideas so keep it coming guys! Kudos to all!

Check out Boardwalk Philippines’ latest upload on YouTube, it’s a 25 second video with Alden. I think this video was recent lang. Maybe after their first date. He was asked to choose between sweet and spicy, he chose spicy lol. Tapos he was asked to choose between GGMY or Thinking Out Loud, he answered both may kasama pa na gentle smile. Wala lang, share ko lang. Plus, he was super cute and kulet dun, esp sa last part!!!

I never watch his interviews before or the ATM segment so when I watched this clip parang “ah ganito pala ‘to magsalita”, and mukhang di naman sya seryosong seryoso na tao na parang dinedescribe ng iba tao dito na parang wala syang sense of humor or what.

I’ve seen it yesterday and it left me wishing that I know someone I could ask if A had always been this ‘adorkable’ even before. He makes faces, pouts, and was all sorts adorable! Like many, i used to find him too prim & kinda boring. But that video was quite a revelation. Parang nagr-ruboff na yung wacky & playful side ng certain someone sa kanya. *wink wink* He’s too malinis for my taste but daaayyyuummnn the kid is such an eye candy.

So okay, we’ve been stalking Maine’s blog post and her ate’s IG accounts plus we watched Alden’s interviews and his friends’ comments kaya I think masasabi kong medyo alamers ko ang sasabihin ngayon. (WE – me, my sisters, my brother, my cousins, and my parents. Yes. Aldub Fans.)
Actually, I’m not surprised na you guys are now realizing that Alden is not the boring type because, surpise, he’s not. Hahaha.
Sabi nga ng mga friends niya he’s makulit backstage. He’s makwento at makulit sa mga katrabaho niya. Sabi nga ng stylist niya kapag medyo boring nadaw, siya na lang nagsasalita ng kung anu ano. Minsan napupunta ang topic sa Dragonball Z at kung ano pa. Tsaka nasabi niya sa isang interview na namana niya sa mama niya yung pagiging accommodating niya. Hindi raw siya nauubusan ng kwento. Hindi niya bet na may dull moment between him and the people na he’s with.
Maine, on the other hand, is soooo different from what we thought na siya. Yes, may makulit side siya but she’s deep. Maraming nasusurprise na DEEP at feeling pala talaga siya. Na she’s not funny but naturally kwela lang talaga. Sabi ng sister niya, “bawas bawasan mo na rin ang self pity mo.” sa isang IG post. Old IG post na yun but Maine naman admitted na mukhang kadikit na niya ang depression. She can come out strong and jolly but she’s got lots of self-pity and doubt episodes rin. But her kakulitan is there pa rin. Sabi rin ni Liz uy, she’s shy, quiet and classy. Not daw the jologs and funny na she was expecting. Classy pero hindi maarte. 🙂
Kaya we’re rooting for them for reals (REAL) dahil it’s like we’re actually watching the lives of TWO people unfolding in front of us. Mga tao na parang destined na destined na magkakilala. They complement each other. Alden have this strong sense of self at kapag may nangyayari sa buhay niya, automatic siyang “May plano ang Diyos.” but he’s gentle and can be emotional. Maine naman, jolly at masayahin but can have her depressing moments.
So you see? When Alden is emotional, Maine can be there for him. When Maine’s pessimistic side and self-pity side gets in, Alden can be give him a dose of positivity and encouragement. Opposite sila pero match. Ganun. Ang gulo ko.
Tapos pareho silang kahit anong maisip pinag uusapan. Daldalan galore. That’s enough for two people to be friends diba? Kaya ngayon na they’re getting to know each other, hindi natin namimiss out na parang may vibe sa kanila na “ops, gusto ko kung ano ang nakikita at nalalaman ko sa isang to ah.” Yung alam mong interesado silang makilala ang isa’t isa dahil gusto nila kung ano yung nadidiskubre nila ngayon.
I don’t know with you guys, but I think that’s enough for two people to have a connection.
Kaya siguro napasabi si Allan k ng “Naniniwala na ako na may patutunguhan ang kilig natin” and Ryan Agoncillo too is rooting for them. Alden seems to be a frequent bisita sa bahay because the kids love him daw sabi ni Ryan A.

Off the topic I do not like Maine’s make up. I find her prettier with natural look make up doon sa first wedding episode niya and with her pictures in IG. I feel that her make up is too heavy for day wear. I know she is styled by a well known stylist in showbiz but then if she is going for a look close to yaya dub’s character bakit parang masiyadong dramatic naman yata with the red red tuka? Is she going for the fresh faced innocent girl next door with the red red lips? Enlighten me with this pleae? Is this the “in” thing kasi the other ladies in EB wear neutral shades naman.

I think red lips is her signature look and her favorite din sabi nya sa ask.fm. Gusto pa nga nya yung dark red shade e. Not everyone can pull it off pero pag sya, she looks gorgeous, sophisticated and confident. GMA news even wrote an article about it, ” the killer lips of maine mendoza”. But my fave, yung pic nya na naka stripe blue and white tank top with no make up look, ang fresh at ang ganda nya dun. Mukhang yun din ang fave ni A, pansinin mo yung Inside Showbiz feature yun frame na nasa background yun ang pic ni M na nakalagay. With her full lips, hindi ako magtataka kung mag endorse na din sya ng lipstick in the future.

Let me share my thoughts on yesterday’s ep. I didn’t expect the twist although I appreciate it. As others have already said it, it’s something that will start new conversations, how will they adapt to their new surroundings. I know that Alden has been to the “kalye” but this time it will be different considering his fame. Have you seen his mall shows? I wonder how long will this last? I also hope that he gets to rest. Whatever he’a doing is not sustainable. I know that they want to strike while the iron is hot but even those with teleseryes have rest days. He has EB, commercials, fans day, mall shows, SPS, and a movie.
With the development of KS, I just want to enjoy the show. I stopped over-analyzing after the ligaw ep. although I didn’t like the Bill story line.
Now in terms of real vs reel, there are definitely feelings out there from both. Whatever those feelings are, I’ll just enjoy the journey. For now, I wish that they’d really have good working relationship especially for their movies and shows.
Just a thought, in the event that this becomes real, I wonder how A will do it with his hectic schedule? Well, if there’s a will, there’s a way.

I watched saturday’s episode live and i was dissappointed and i felt that 40% of my being addicted to Aldub was reduced.. i watched the replays 2x but with the same effect.. dati rati inuulit q gang 5x yung mga previous episodes kasi masarap panoorin ulit.. pero this time naawa aq kila Maine at Alden.. 15 minutes lang halos yung time na nagcommunicate sila compared dun sa Sept.26 episode n talagang sulit ang moment nila… and i felt yung episode kahapon, para silang tinorture bcoz of that very, very short time.. di ba it was supposed to be “a-getting-to-know-each-other”? how come they hold Alden in the gazebo for a long time?..di b dapat sya ang sumalubong at mgtour sa mga lola at ky Maine.. at sya rin mismo ang dapat mgpakilala sa mga dabarkads.. nasa phase of rapport na sila so dapat may longer time n sila n mag usap (once a week n nga lang magkita eh)..ok lang nman yung may moment ang LOMY at ang TVJ pero sana andun din yung dalawa kahit nasa background lang at nag uusap.. ok yung nagshake hands sila, nagduet at maraming selfies, but the most important ay yung open communication para mkilala ang isa’t isa.. i dont know if yung changing of the guard nila would help restore my enthusiasm sa KS… i watched them not bcoz of the plot but the kilig that Maine & Alden gives.. ang lakas maka-bagets eh.
Changing topic.. i read sa mga previous comments including sa mga previous blogs about the compatibility of Alden and Maine.. some used the chinese astrology, some used “flames” (pang high school lang yun ah)… but on my part i will use the numerology:

Alden – his birthday is 2 and his destiny number is 6.. compared to Maine’s, his numbers are weak.. ilang years n ba syang artista pero di nman masyadong nagpeak before (sa mga fans ni Alden wag po sana kayong magalit sa akin ha). Then Maine came into his life.. then BOOM!!! actually not only Alden’s career that went skyrocket; Wally’s career, Jose’s, Paulo’s, and the entire Eat Bulaga! nabitbit lahat sila ng malakas na CHARISMA ni Maine..(it was last July when Maine started in EB and it was also last July that ALDUB was formed; all of these happend in a month).
Now for their relationship (at sana maging sila na nga).. Maine will lead Alden and he will only follow (his subsconcious mind will tell him that).. yun bang tipong “Your Wish is My Command”.. napansin naman natin n total opposite ang characters nila.. OPPOSITE POLES ATTRACTS EACH OTHER.. at dahil dun kaya sila bagay at may harmony…

I fully agree with you @edwin dapogi . Maine has that charismatic appeal that she’s like a Fairy Godmother with the magic wand touching and changing the lives of people around her. Amazing!

Regarding Maine or Yaya Dub, last Saturday, I cannot help but feel some disappointment when she made faces in front of Lola Nidora. Was it scripted or spontaneous from Yaya Dub. Either way Lola Nidora’s comment gave some sort of pain asking Tinidora why she did that. Can an apology be done by Yaya Dub to Lola Nidora? Lola was disrespected, it didn,t come out as funny.

don’t take it seriously bro, i’m sure scripted lang yun..it happened na b4 during the early days of KS (i think it was their weeksary at nasa loob ng limo si yaya at ayaw nyang papasukin si lola.. si Alden nga nasabihan na rin ni lola ng “bastos” b4 kc what happened was naglilitanya ang lola eh bigla b namang ngpatugtog ang spinner, ang nangyari tuloy eh di nagdubmash ang alden at npatigil sa kalagitnaan ng litanya ang lola kaya ayun nasabihan na bastos ang bata..(try to watch the early episodes of KS, yung nagsimula ang “babala, asawa ni babalu”)

Thanks for that, in any case if some disrespect has been done, it should be corrected. Please remember that our kids also watch, and this a good opportunity to show that they were aware that they did some disrespect be it scripted or not. Aldub is not only for the kilig factor but also means to show manners. That’s what lola nidora is trying to place in. Anyway, this is just an observation. Aldub has transcended from what is just a love story but has also become a family affair.

hi , i was just replaying the ep last saturday and i too was bothered about that.. i think it’s not scripted and it’s M being kalog and all…pansinin nyo mahilig syang parang manununtok, yung act lang ba something like that… but i think di nman nya sinasadya but it just comes out naturally from her… mabuti n lang magaling yung ad-lib ni jose 🙂

Ako feeling ko kaya sila nag swap is because of M safety s baranggay kasi hndi na minsan macontrol ang crowd. Kung si A ang nsa baranggay eh mas kakayanin nya kung pagka guluhan man sya ng tao. Pero sna nga bigyan sila ng mas mdameng moments kahit every saturday lang. Nakakabitin din ung last episode eh.

Yup, I agree with you. Exciting itong twist na ito. Gusto ko na mapanuod ang mangyayari mamaya. Feeling ko babalik na rin ang original bulagaan “knock knock”. Ang saya lang nun.
Sana every saturday or even some weekdays ay nasa broadway ang mga taga brgy.
On another note since nauuna naman ang development ng character ni Yaya Dub at Alden sa KS, paano sila aarte? Willing ako mag-antay sa tamang panahon. Di kailangan mabilisan basta may moments ng getting to know. ( Mga naiisip ko lang naman)

This for me is also a love story between Yaya and her Lolas. I was crying when I watched the episode the second time this morning. Yaya hiding behind Lola and that Lola had to step away so Alden can go near Yaya and hand her the flower. The feeling of being weaned from your Mom for the first time. The feeling of Mom sending her beloved daughter off to college and the feeling of both you having to let go because it is not only the right thing but the best thing to do in order for her to reach her highest potentials. You know that she is capable for more so you let her go . She is ready. You disappear in the background watching in silence. In the sacredness of the moment you see her spread her wings and fly. You keep everything in your heart but you leave your arms and hands wide open so she can always come back to you if things go wrong and to assure her that you will always be there to catch her when she falls. Thank you dear Lolas for taking care of her and for strengthening her wings so she can fly higher. With her new set of Lolos, I am certain that she is in good hands and will be better capable of reaching new heights. Fly then, Sweet Princess fly. When the time is nigh, your Prince will join you in the sky and both of you can soar up high!
If ALDUB has the Lolas and TVJ as wings then WE are the wind beneath the wings…

Yes I was touched with that scene too. In my mind I was like , sana nakipagtaguan pa siya kay Alden para may comedic element kasi kahit naman early stage ng ligaw nandun iyongg feeling na gusto mong magtago. May tiyahin nga ako nagtago sa ilalim ng mesa! LOL. But it is really sweet and I felt that the bond og mag-lola was well depicted in that scene.

i think this is the start of KS’s end and a new transition to A and M. The training the two will receive–for A his humor and spontaneity, for M her hosting, singing and acting skill–will pave way to a new EB segment in the broadway or projects outside of EB. With their popularity now, A and M being in the street is not sustainable and i will not be surprised the AFJJFA segment will revert to its original format, nawawalan na din kasi ng interaction sa mga tao sila JOWAPAO which i think the reason of its staying power.

Feeling ko din ito mangyayari. Kasi minsan minamadali ang Sugod Bahay para sa KS kaya walang time para makikala ng mabuti yung winner. Bigay premyo tapos takbo pabalik dahil KS na.
Gusto ko dati sa Sugod Bahay yung mga pangaral ng JoWaPao lalo na si Jose kapag makitang naghihirap ang magulang eh hinahanap agad mga anak para pangaralan na tumulong sa mga magulang.
Sa sobrang laki ng Aldub at KS nalilimutan na din yung original purpose ng J4A A4J na mag bigay saya sa mga baranggay. Natawa nga ako nung nagtour si Wally sa studio yesterday at tinuro yung phone nI Helen. Tanda ko pa yung mga days na comedic prop nila yung may tatawag sa phone tapos habang Sugod Bahay at sasagutin nina Jose then kakausapin kunwari si Tita Helen.
Siguro pagod na din ang JoWaPao bilang 3 Lolas. Ang hirap ng makeup nila every day tapos mainit sa kalye then they have to keep in character and help the story along. Mas comfortable siguro sila as themselves lang and mas maraming comedic topics na pwedeng gamitin.
Siguro they’ll go back to being JoWaPao + Alden and since makakapagsalita na siguro si Maine as a host eh hindi na kailangan in character and naka costume sila every day .
May changes na mangyayari and I think it will be good for the show and everyone involved.

Nagiging mas vocal na talaga si A sa mga banat banat kay M.
Kanina lang sa Sunday Pinàsaya, si Gerald ba yun na nagtanong na sino daw ba naaalala ni A pag naka apron sagot ni A is Sino pa e di yung MAINEstay sa puso ko! Sabay talon pa at kinikilig, aba aba! Tapos bukod sa pagiging vocal, pati favorite dance step ni M ginagaya na ni A, sya pa mismo nanlalaglag sa sarili niya. Ayaw na paawat. XD
Kaya guys, wag sana mag doubt kay A kasi by judging him di talaga sha showbiz when it comes to love. Gusto niya, kasi talaga yung walang halong artista kaya yung mga late niyang sagot is laging pabebe wave. Kasi kung gusto lang din naman talaga ni A ng fame, he would answer the way kung anong gusto ng mga fans nila na maging Real Life couple sila.
Just go with flow tayo guys. Dadating din yan sila sa tamang panahon, kunghindi naman we will know it very soon. Enjoy lang tayo. Ganda na nga ng twist ng KS, exciting.

@krishnan My sentiments exactly!! Agree ako sa yo 110%… Yung lahat ng physical tests na pinagawa ni Lola. Hirap din nun. Pero ginawa nya with flying colors. Tsaka your comment na A has so much to lose pag nawala sya sa showbiz, while M has a good fall back pa rin even if she doesn’t work anymore, pareho tayo…. Tsaka actingan lang ito di ba. If ever maging sila in real life much better, pero if not, no problem din, kasi it’s their life. Kaya hanga din ako kay James Reid, kasi di sya magsasabi na gusto nya si Nadine even in truth hindi naman. Mas lalong masasaktan kasi yung girl pag pinakita mo sa people na ang sweet and caring pero pag talikod hindi naman. Let us support A and M na lang. Para happy din lahat. 🙂

Grabe naiiyak tuloy ako. Kaya ko pinapanood talaga aldub eh dahil nakikita ko sarili ko kay Alden halos pareho kami ng sakit at hirap pero siyempre iba version niya sakin dn iba.. Pagdating naman kay Maine parang siya yung crush na crush ko na gustong gusto ko. Super kalog always nakasmile as in magkaiba kami kaya ko naman sumabay sa mga trip na always nakasmile but kung sino ka pa rin yun pa rin yun eh.. I hope and I pray na kami gaya ng aldub magkatuluyan. Pareho din kami ng pinagdaanan nung girl she has been cheated by boy lang ata o boys. Well ang lapit na niya magartista ako naman gusto ko maging artista dn pero mas focus ako sa music and singing. Pag napapanood ko aldub umiiyak ako ng halos isang buong araw lalo na pag super sweet talaga. Di ako makamove on naalala ko yung panahon na inlove ako binibigay ko lahat tapos paasahin minsan naalala ko yung kilig. Hehe I hope makausap ko na yung girl sana lang dn gaya niya ako . Siya kasi iniintay ko, di ako naggirlfriend mas mabuti pa maging single kung di siya mapangasawa ko. Sana ganun dn siya. And mas matanda siya sakin ng 1 1/2 years sa age pero I think naman I’m mature enough para sumabay hay always ko in siya nakikita sa dream ko ang weird kasi di siya paulit ulit may episode sa dream ko. Di ko siya makausap sa personal nahihiya pako talaga sobra pero siya yung kumakausap sakin 1 time pa nga lumapit siya sabay “happy sunday” shakehands ganun. Pero sabi naman kasi greet everybody happy sunday ahahahah

chuckbestseries In my personal opinion, their twitter accounts, though publicly seen, are still their personal accounts hence whatever they post would be really coming from their heart. Yes, it is indeed a great joy for us spectators to take a peak of their emotions once in a while but we cannot actually push them to post their innermost feelings – this is always upon their discretion.

Dancing fantastic baby is an innocuous way to get close, A will take every chance he gets. He is not a risk taker. Surprisingly, in the end he deviated from script and returned to the stage to say goodbye to her as I noticed he was in mid-conversation when the Rogelios dragged him away. Both of them were not paying attention 🙂

I agree with @itslizbitch.
Alden can be quite reticent when it comes to Maine, but his body language is a dead giveaway. He constantly fidgets around her, sweats profusely, takes every opportunity to edge closer to her, tries to make eye contact as much as possible, pulls ninja moves to touch her. This past Saturday he tried to keep his hands in his pockets because, well, if he didn’t he’d be preening and tugging at his shirt again (and even pulled at his pants at one point as he took his leave).
He still tries to keep his cool whenever she talks to him but the poor kid is beside himself with giddiness. He just can’t contain himself. And as the supposedly Pambansang Bae who gives pa-kilig and suave tips on national TV, I find it really ironic.

Dahil kakanood ko lang ng Slowmo version nung bumalik si A to dance with M, nakita kong may mga hand gestures at sign language na nagaganap. So may mga echos talaga tong dalawang to.
Anyway, I agree with both @wanderlust and @itslizbitch, Alden may be trying his best to take things slow but his body language is really giving him away. All those sweating and facial expression, dear Lord, his body is betraying him. Last Saturday’s episode, he was sweating again and was caught on cam while wiping his sweat. Eh yung ibang mga hosts, wala naman pakels eh. Kahit nga si Maine was wala lang pero siya, naku. Saka, nagchichange yung face niya talaga every time he’s about to see Maine in person. Saka pag nagkita na, hindi na talaga binibitawan ng paningin niya. I thought babawasan na niya yung pagtitig kay Maine dahil nandiyan ang dabarkads pero walei, ganun pa rin. And that shake hands, akbay (thanks of joey de Leon), selfies, and pa inom2x sa buko while looking at Maine, Naku Alden..actions speak louder than words nga.

That’s why amidst all the doubts I held on to one sure thing…PHYSIOLOGICAL REACTION BABY! I don’t care how great an actor you are. You can “fake cry” on cue, but sweat bullets on cue? C’mon! He is so suave with his breezy moves and hugot lines…on split screen, but put them on the same room and Romeo turns to mush. Lumalabas lahat ng mga unconscious gestures nya. The lip biting, the touching behind the ear, the hand rolling, sumisingkit yung eyes sa kakasmile, but most of all the look of pure unadulterated admiration! And take note…once he zero ‘s in on her dikit na yung tingin na parang epoxy. The kid is a hopeless case. SOLD, SIGNED AND SEALED! Kailangan na lang i deliver! “Sigh”

What got me here are the smart posts about KS as a product. Nag-open pa ako ng wordpress account para dito at hindi naman ako blogger. Gusto ko lang ng matalinong exchange tungkol sa KS. It is exciting to read posts here about how we consume/love/hate/analyze the story and its characters. And we need to keep this level of conversation going for EB to step up their game and satisfy discerning viewers. Sana yung mga emotional fans dito, sa twitter na lang mag post ng mga palasak/trite comments. Aktingan lang to uy.

i dont believe fair ang blog na toh! Kawawang kawawa si A porke d nililigawan si M na gaya ng gustong mangyari ng iba rito. Bkit, nung mag apply ba si M sa kabila, napansin sya? May pic pa nga sila ni K A, pero wala ding nangyari, d ba? At nung nag kalyeserye sya, sampung araw na sya dun bago sya napansin dahil pinakita nya na may crush sya ke A….Dun na sya pumatok, d ba? Parang lagi na lang, A owes it to her kaya sya naging sikat….Huag nman, kse kung si M lang talga gusto ng tao, eh d sana puro s M na lang ang imbitahin kung saan saan…..In fairness, they clicked together at d ginusto ni A yun….nananahimik syang pinaupo nung portion ng J4all, all 4 Juan at the rest is history!…sa tingin nyo, kung d nagpakita ng crush si M, magiging sikat na sikat sya ngayon? Click silang dalwa, at nobody owes anybody sa kasikatan nila….pareho silang nagkatulungan! …Huag nman nating sirain ang career ng dalwang toh at gusto nyo lovelife na agad….pasalamat nga tayo hindi user si A….he is such a good boy at maka Diyos!.Please nman, be fair….!

In defense of Sir Vilo and his posts on Alden, I don’t think he’ll waste his time and energy to write about his thoughts and feelings on Alden’s character if he didn’t care about him. Remember: he thinks of Alden as a representation of Filipino gentlemen much like himself so he is actually rooting for him.
As for the comments, some of the negative ones said against A here (just like some of mine) are not meant to hurt/lambaste/bash/blame him. It’s actually meant to help him (read: constructive criticism). Think of it as mga payong barkada lang. Kung may pangangantyaw man, they’re good-natured ribbing.

Too much have been said already about Aldub. Masyado na tayong lahat na hook. I think kailangan nanating mamahinga muna at ang labahan natin ay dumadami na so to speak.
At this point secured na careers nila not to mention financially with those left and right endorsements. And I believe may private lines na si A and M sa isa’t isa. Let’s leave it from there. Let’s all hope this new found fondness will lead them to something maala fairy tale ending. Hayaan natin sila estimahin ang kanilang mga sarili kung ano ba talaga nasa puso nila. Career or Love first o sabay ?
Meantime, tuloy tayong makikilig sa mga darating pang episode ng KS for reel. Wag tayong padala masyado after all this are just two normal human beings like us. Lets give them space to figure out their true feelings na talaga naman sila lang ang makakasagot.

Glad I found a blog na kung saan no hate messages throwing in the comments section! The constructive criticism of the comments were very helpful at tsaka may natutunan ako sa inyong lahat! I’ve been in a relationship with my girlfriend for almost 11 years at kami dalawa ay very opposite. Sobra! Kaya siguro kami nag-tagal ng ganito ka haba! 🙂 At tsaka it is my first time na nagkaroon ako ng loveteam na sinusubaybayan and damn I don’t know anong nangyari sa akin ng dahil sa aldub! I’ll be visiting this blog once in a while baka may bagong updates tungkol sa aldub. lol for M and A, I just wish and hope them good luck sa career nila and SANA, SANA, SANA magkakatuluyan sila kahit di man ngayon dahil naniniwala ako sa TAMANG PANAHON!
