I agree. It seems that well meaning strangers seem to get so excited for possibilities for A&M that they expect things to blossom right here, right now. Let’s give them breathing space to get to know each other without the glaring lights and without our prying eyes. Let’s not pressure A and give him elbow room to act on his own.
Personally, I think that they are on the right track. There is wisdom in taking things slow especially if we set our eyes on forever and not just for now.
M is a bit guarded but still expresses her openness to possibilities. A just needs to assure her of certain things .
It will work out. Love will always find its way home.

In the September 28 episode of Starstruck, Alden was assigned to coach the candidates on how to make screen chemistry. Somewhere during his discussion about being genuine with one’s feelings, one of the contestants asked him kung “mahal na nya si Maine”. Please take note that this episode of Startruck was taped BEFORE the September 26 episode of Kalyeserye and BEFORE he received the letter from Maine.

I think there is still uncertainty on maine ‘s side .Alden more than likely is responding well to her expectations. At this point I’m just assuming that Alden should be taking this to the next level like communicating with her already outside of the teleserye .and he is not making an attempt to do that .no wonder Maine just shook her head ,seem unaffected when Alden sung and dedicated the song to her.

Maine only learned of the Crying Thing after the show ata and didnt see Alden singing GGMY, so wala cyang reaction. Niways she favorited that post sa Twitter na, u can check it out!

Agree. I was able to replay the whole Sept 26 episode again and again and it shows that she asked him if he’s going to sing, then A replied, “Tapos na kanina. Di mo ba napanood?” (natuto na akong maglip read ng dahil sa dalawang ito eh)

How do you know if he is communicating with her or not? Sit back and enjoy the ride na lang. We don’t have to behave like some sort of Big Brother. They may be public personalities but they are entitled to some measure of privacy. As has been said here, chill lang.

Maine didn’t see or hear Alden singing “God Gave Me You”, or atleast I think she was too focused writing the letter that she later gave to him.
If you try to watch the table scene, where before Tinidora puts the pitcher of water on the table, You could lip-read Maine saying “Kakanta ka ba?” while doing a mic gesture.
And then you could also lip-read Alden saying something like “Di mo narinig?” and that pretty answers the question to why didn’t have a “”””reaction””””” to Alden while he was singing.

I think di niya napansin si A nung time na yun. Kasi tuloy tuloy pa rin siyang magsulat sa letter. Tinawag pa siya ni Allan nung huli e para tumingin lang.
Tapos ung last dubsmash nila before umalis ng broadway si A.
Parang nabigla si M na magddubsmash parin kasi nga busy siya sa pagsusulat e.
Bigla na lang siya humarap sa camera nun.
Yun lang observations ko nung saturday. I-reply niyo na lang uli kung tama ba ung nakita ko. 😀

Busy naman po kasi sayun hahaha kawawa naman yung bata. Saka maski naman yung ibang personalities na finafollow ko di nagrereply hahaha. Kapag may nagretweet or may nagreply any of those celebrities (including ALDUB), naku ang saya saya ko na. Let’s understand na lagare din yang mga yan at mas uunahin nila ag magpahinga kesa ang magbukas ng phone. 🙂
Medyo abogado po ang dating ko pero yun kasi ang consideration ko sa pagiging snob ng mga celebrities.

Natingin siya sa mga staff kasi gina-guide siya kung kailan magsasalita. Kaya 2 ung tinitingnan niya, yung nasa monitor which is si Alden at ung mga nag-gguide sa kanya.
Hindi siya sa wala siya sa mood.

Tapos halata namang masama pakiramdam ni Alden… Hanggang ngayon pansin parin yun.
Kaya siguro hindi agad siya nilabas nung first half ng KS before mag sugod bahay at nilabas na lang siya nung anjan na si Maine.
At ang highlight kasi kahapon is yung pagsasalita ni Yaya.
May nagsasabi na may lapel daw siya na nakatago sa apron niya.
Yun siguro kaya ang dami niyang tinitingnan pala, hindi pala 2 kundi 3.
Si Alden na nasa monitor, yung nagsisignal sa kanya na magsalita at yung hidden lapel kung meron man talaga.

Agree. May flu si Alden since Sunday (Sunday Pinasaya) as per confirmation of those who are close to him (lalo na yung Papa niya). Relax lang guys, wag tayo masyadong magreact at magpaka SOCO. Nanunuod tayo ng teleserye… Live nga lang. Kaya please guys (yung iba) DON’T OVERTHINK their reactions or emotions. Saka may hangover pa nga yang mga staff. Saka guys, ang hirap magsulat ng mga ganap ha… Chill lang tayo and enjoy.

You guys are overthinking. Why always doubt Alden’s actions? Sigh. And here I thought people aren’t that worried anymore after what we saw last Saturday. Alden’s just 23. We all know he was too serious for his age. Didn’t you notice his change? He started becoming hyper. And he’s finally acting “his age”. He just opened up. He’s slowly breaking down his walls. It’s a gradual process, don’t rush him.

what i noticed are the lines yaya dub were delivering… as if pertaining to alden not reciprocating what she feels for him. the lines “there was never an US …” which she used for 2 consecutive episodes .kahapon at ngayon.and the “oh yes kaibigan mo lang ako, at that was all I ever was to you”
and after her delivering the said lines, i noticed signs of relief and some sort of happiness… its as if she was just relieved of a heavy burden….

meron padin nag-prohibit.. kaya nga di pa pwde si maine magguest ng mga shows sa GMA.. or onthecam interview except sa offcam ni ricky lo .. or kahit man lang chat or text sa dalawa.para daw genuine yung feelings nla sa KS.. yun ang gusto ng mga staff ng EB..

Agree. That’s right. Sabi na rin ni Alden, he avoided to make any move to contact her. Sabi nga daw po niya sa mga staff ng EB (reliable resources), they allowed the staff to stop him from getting Maine’s number nung first date nila sa Broadway.
Also, isang trivia. May number ni A si M, but she prefer not to contact him coz their real emotions wont show up in KS if they already have communication to each other.

Agree!! Sana scripted lang ang lahat….affected si A di na actingan parang mashado namang personal. Today’s episode made me SAD. We all want happy ending, I supposed masyadong intense yun ang mga linya.

I just watched the replay of today’s ep. It sounded like Jose meant what he said if A is not true/sincere about M. He has become very protective of M that he even forgot to sound like His character Lola Tinidora. I heard the voice of Jose instead. And wally just had to rescue the scene by supporting jose but using Lola Nidora’s voice. Look at Vic’s face when the split screen showed the main hosts, parang nagulat din sa mga sinabi ng dalawa.
Sensya na if we are very sensitive about each lines and body languages in KS. Like most fans, we unconsciously search for clues wrt to these two. But I do agree with Vilo’s post. Let’s give these two, M&A, a break. They need to figure it out on their own. As fans, we must give them the space, kahit na sabik na sabik tayo na sana TNT na ito.
And in case A & M or the KS staff read this, please ignore our opinions and wishful thinking. Just do your own thing. We still love A&M for bringing kilig and positive vibes to our everyday humdrum lives. 😊

I think totoo talaga yung banta ni Jose kay A. Its good kasi they know meng kasi lagi nilang kasama ito at alam nila na totoo na talaga yung (feelings) kay M and they are just being protective kasi alam nila ang galawan sa showbiz.Sabi nga ni allan K, parang totohanan na yung payo nila Jose at wally.Sumagot dun si Jose.
But kung napansin nyu yung reaction ni A dont wala ng hesitation naka smile pa sya at sya pa ang nag initiate ng pinky swear. At sa mga reaction nya everytime na maririnig nya yung recorded voice ni M iba yung ngiti nya.
WAAH i am hooked in KS pati sa blog na ito. Keep on posting sir Vilo and i am waotongfor senor pedro’s comment.

Alam ko na kung saan ang pinaghuhugutan ni Jose at Wally. May umanong nangyari daw na di kaaya-aya sa paningin ng ibang aldub fans sa SPS last Sunday with A and a former LT partner backstage. I can’t verify this info if chismis or fact, but we do know that Wally and Jose are part of SPS, so they must’ve seen/known something abt it. Thus, the threat and skit abt an ex (Bill kunwari) wanting to get back with Tinidora and how Tinidora reminds her abt Bill, her ex.
I wonder if the KS staff knew abt it too because of the choice of dubsmash songs for yaya. Hmm.
But I’m glad that Tisoy offered his pinky finger for a pinky promise to M na hindi sya sasaktan/lolokohin na halos sabay pa sila nagpinky swear. That should give clear signal abt A’s stand.
Galing ng staff ha. Ni-mirror ang mga totong kaganapan sa KS, if ganon nga.

Di natuloy ‘yung pinky promise nila A & M about sa “walang iba” or “di niya lolokohin” si Yaya/ Maine. Pero nakakatuwa lang na parehas sila nag-senyas ng pinky promise sign.

Is it just me or is there something off with today’s episode also. A & M has less scenes together. Parang the first part of the KS, puro the lolas lang kwento kwento. Then konting scenes lang between A & M then sugod bahay then that bitin FS na ni A.
In fairness the questions ni Jose re if sure si A kay Yayadub ha…at least A answers faster now. Mas decisive na sya! Unlike before na todo iwas. I have a feeling may double meaning un and the real question is if A is sure with M.
M seems less kilig also with whatever A is doing. Well, tama rin naman. M is not going to fall into his lap if he’s not doing anything. Walang FOREVER if walang EFFORT.

Guys, may sakit si Alden since Sunday. Lumalagare na lang yung bata. Si Maine naman eh may commitments din kagabi kaya late na rin yun nakauwi. Try to consider people who have less sleep. Wag niyo ieexpect palagi na jolly sila kasi napapagod din yung mga yan. Tao sila guys…
REMEMBER:

Wag sanang i-overanalyze yung mga galaw nila.
Kalyeserye pa rin yan, may mga sinusundan na flow ng story.
Parang ung tumawag kay Tinidora, syempre pinagusapan nilang 2 ni Nidora yun.
Tapos nag-enjoy lang kasi sa paulit ulit na salita ni Yaya, pati audience gusto rin kasi marinig uli e. Kaya parang bitin yung ibang FS moments.
At least si A nakikita na natin na ang bilis niya ng sumagot at nagiba na siya.
Cliffhanger tawag dun. Pero ang pangit lang ng execution nila sa ending.

Nawala si A sa mga payo or I may say parining ni Wally and Jose. I perfectly understand that they’re trying to protect M but gosh actingan lang to uy! Pati si M nataranta sa reaction ni A. May iba sa episode today.
At kung scripted ang lahat ngayon isa lang masasabi ko “WOW FANTASTIC BABY”

Joey’s comment is not necessarily in the negative. If you recall, that line was first used yesterday, and because it seemed that Alden was confused as to why it Maine dubsmashed it , so he just kissed Maine through the monitor. Perhaps Joey liked the fact that he did that. Basta ako I will not stress myself anymore with every little thing that happens on KS. They seem to follow a certain pattern- low key from Monday to Wednesday, then up a notch on Thursday because of the week-sary, while Friday serves as build-up for whatever big event they have lined up for Saturday. So there.

yung “huwag mo na akong landiin” was first used on July 23 during their FIRST WEEKSARY at inulit ulit n lang knina at nung monday (nung monday dinedma nga lang ni alden yun sabay kiss ky maine kc alam nyang no bearing nman yun)

Pero natamaan si Alden e, walang nagawa. Sana mapansin ng mga taga-barangay yun. Na medyo nasaktan si Alden sa ginawa nila.
At tanggalin sana ung dubsmash/lines na masakit, makikita mo na parang nakiki-ride si A pero mukang nalungkot siya e.

I think ito kagandahan ng KS yung mapapaisip tayo kung ano susunod na kabanata, tapos isama mo na si A at M kung for reel o real na, compare sa teleserye umpisa pa lang alam mo na magaganap… Kaya yun dami na hook dito at isa na ako dun…

I disagree with your about Maine having “less kilig”.
Well, you see, back in the early days and weeks of Kalyeserye, we could all see that the kilig was always fresh and so expressive. Right?
But now, they seem more comfortable and relaxed. Meron pa ding kilig, pero very relaxed. And that’s a good thing. I like how they’re very comfortable/relaxed with eachother now while doing their dubs and fansigns.
Am I the only one who has a strong feeling in the guts that they’re already communicating in private?
It explains to why they seem so relaxed, yung parang magkakilala na sila. Yung parang they don’t see eachother as a “crush crush” where you freak out or go OA kilig when you see them. Am I the only one who is actually happy about that?
I can see the past “crush” feelings turning into something bigger and more serious. Hence, the relaxed and comfortable appraoach.

I agree with you @raxmas. I assume it has something to do with the letter Maine gave Alden on the later part of Saturday’s episode. Whatever the content of the letter, it reflects to how they react since Monday till now.
Let’s remember kanina when Maine wrote “SURE KA?” on her FS, Alden hurriedly scribbled “SURE NA SURE”, and I was like oh yeah!!!
Besides, if you don’t notice, pareho silang blooming today. Wala lang. 🙂

I don’t know why there are so many people that they’re not being as expressive or super-excited when they see eachother. WAKE UP YOU FOLKS, there is surely something going on off-cam now. And also about the letter, that could’ve made a difference to how they’ve been acting since Monday, and I have NO problem with that.
Like I said, I actually really like it that they seem more relaxed now.
KalyeSerye isn’t just about the “plot” of AlDub, but you could also see the progress of how Nicomaine and Richard act around eachother.
This is exactly why we are so hooked into this phenomenon, the plot dictates the flow of the story, but it doesen’t dictate their organic and natural expressions.
It’s pretty much like seeing 50% reel and 50% real. Like I said, this is why we are all so hooked! Amirite??
And to all the overthinkers, just stop. NEVER FORGET that this is Kalyeserye, may flow parin and story. It’s time to stop over-analyzing and just enjoy the show. For sure medyo hangover lang silang lahat from Saturday! and I bet you all na Maine and Richard are probably developing a really good friendship off-cam and privately. (Well if they are really communicating off-cam. I’m sure about it)

hi everyone! so glad i came across this blog…atlast there is a forum now to share observations and comments regarding our favorite ALDUB, am too is so hooked to this phenomenon… i am actually more a fan of M than A but he is okay…
but anyway, what i want to say is that i think everything is somewhat a “roadmap” because correct me if i am wrong they “need” to be comfortable with each other soon coz they will start shooting for their movie MMFF that is also why M is starting to have a voice…so everything is planned out?!

I agree with you. Di man sila giddy aa kilig pero may peace yung eyes nila pagnag-usap, may joy. Relaxed sila at okay yun. Tama lang na nag-uusap na sila kasi yung movie and commercial, di na yun KS so dapat comfortable na sila sa isa’t isa dahil kailangan na nilang umarte.

omg same rin! i feel like theyre already communicating privately. feel ko sa dm, hehe. kasi di talaga tutok si Maine nung kinantahan sya ni A ng GGMY (well based rin sa previous comments, napansin natin na during the mansion ep, maine asked him if kakanta sya diba) so kung ako kasi ang nasa shoes ni Meng and I watch the replay, I will message Alden right after eh, siguro I will say na thanks for “that” yada yada.
And remember that one time Meng sent a dm to Nate? She asked him if okay lang si Alden bc she heard what happened daw na nasaktan si Alden (i think nadumog kasi si A that time sa isang mall show)
So di talaga malabo na nagkakausap na sila by now. 🙂
Sawang sawa na ako sa mga nega dito kaya laban pa rin ako dito sa pagiging positive ko hahahah

Based on my super reliable source, hindi pa rin po. M has A’s number but… but a BIG but, she never want to contact A kasi its not going to be natural anymore if they have communication after KS. A doesn’t have M’s number and he mentioned to stop him from getting it during their first date. He really wants to have that personal touch of communication and he wants to avoid communicating with her so that ALL of their emotions in KS are very much REAL. Sabi din ni A, kapag nagusap sila sa kung alin mang social media sites, baka dumating yung time na wala na silang mapagusapan. 🙂

Youre not alone. I noticed the change too and I don’t understand why people are so cynical about it! (this is coming from a very pessimistic person, btw). They seemed so comfortable and nonchalant, and it gives off the feeling that they’ve had a good grasp of what’s already happening between them. It doesn’t have to be stated. They can see it in each other’s eyes. We could see it in their smiles too. This isn’t the crush type of kilig anymore — I’d like to believe they’re taking it a notch higher. I would disagree with some hunch though, I mean communicating though DM? Naaaw. I doubt it. I believe this has something to do with the letter 🙂 Haha! I’m really dying to know what’s inside! But I’m glad they have “their secret” now.

I agree with you there, Pau and pejeh. The two are slowly getting past their overly kilig stage and moving towards that getting to know you stage. Although I also doubt that they have been communicating offcam because A already said in an interview that he still has opted not to get M’s number to preserve the magic and make their reactions spontaneous for KS. As for that TULOY ANG FOREVER post of A, notice it’s all caps para intense (mirroring M’s way of writing).
I have a hunch though that A wants to ask Lola for another date with M until he was cut off by the sound of the horn to signal the “freeze” scene or end of the segment. And sana eh magsalita na for real si M, hindi lang puro dubsmash. Wishful thinking on my part. Anyways, abangan na lang ang susunod na kabanata. 😊

At least aware si A kaya siya naganun nina Wally at Jose.
Yun lang hindi natuloy ung pinky promise, sabay sila nag-senyas e, badtrip lang ung nasa production nilagay agad kay Jose yung camera.

For me, let’s not over analyze things. I think they had to cut the ep short today due to security issues. Wala silang malalabasan. Maaga natapos ang KS. Nakamake up pa si Tidora, di siya lumabas. Something was off and they needed a diversion.
Re A and M’s actions today, I wouln’t put too much interpretation to it. I see peace in their eyes, okay na sa akin yun.
After Saturday, wala naman na tayong dapat ipangamba sa araw-araw. Antay lang tayo sa tamang panahon. 🙂

The “veiled threats” took me by surprise and it happened so fast, I had to ask myself what that was all about — was something going on between the two, did they pick up some piece of news about A that didn’t sit well with them?
Even M’s dubsmash lines, were well, different.
I think I’d watch the replay later as I couldn’t completely comprehend what just happened. Medyo weird lang.

I can’t contain this to myself. Some aldub fans have picked a bone with a former LT partner of A after allegedly noticing something between the two in last Sunday’s SPS. I don’t watch that show so I had to check who else was cast in that. It turns out there’s a segment between A and that girl who was linked to him before. Also, Wally and Jose are part of that SPS so they must be there too. Hmm. I can’t help but wonder whether these two (Wally and Jose) saw/knew something from that SPS, thus the blatant threat to A in today’s ep. And I think, somebody or M heard it or saw it too (remember she watches A’s shows dahil nabuking sya ng sister nya at si direk mike din sa mga tweets nila), thus our girl’s cryptic tweet today and the dubsmash lines “there was never an us..”, “mahal mo lang ba ako kasi kailangan mo ako?”
Hay. Nagiging showbiz na. 😦

I’m sorry I have to comment on this particular thread. I just want to remind everyone that all of these are purely speculations for now. Let’s not get out minds clouded with stuff we don’t have first hand knowledge about. I also speculate about a lot of stuff, but if we could confine our discussions on things that reinforce the success of this tandem instead of those that are detrimental to it, it would be very much appreciated. Thank you guys all the same for sharing your thoughts.

I’m happy to see na may updated comments for today’s episode. I’ve been reading this blog since my addiction to Aldub. Good to know that madami palang educated individuals following this kalyeserye.
Just observed na most of readers here are analyzing every move of M and A. All of us wanted them to end up to forever. Some, though, have doubts. Pero isa lang masasabi ko, kung sa dami- daming nagsadasal (isa na ako dun) na they’ll end up together, siguro naman hindi tayo bibiguin ni Lord.

Kagaya ng sinasabi ng marami dtio. Wag po sana mag over analyze or over thinking.. Kasi may script sila na sinusunod every episodes, bonus na yung kilig and mga adlib. Kasi hindi naman pwedeng laging kina A and M lang naikot ang story, di ba po? Ang MAINE event naman lagi is yung SABADO, for me walang mali or flaws sa episode, siguro yung tao lang sa barangay na kagulo pati si YAYA e nasiksik. I just hope na di sha nasaktan.
Yun nga, responsive na si A yung “sure na sure” na di na napansin. Medyo napakunot nga sha doon e. Im also thinking na theres something going on na off cam between these two. Sa point of view ko lang naman.
Wag po tayo masyado mag isip na ikareresulta lang po ng self disappointment natin. Just go with the flow. Sabay sabay tayong kiligin and take the negative doubts somewhere else. Oh ayan sa kanilang linya yan.

Hi Vilo, I just tweeted you minutes back that I’m looking forward to your review on today’s ep and now here it is. You never disappoint your readers and I’m thankful for that. 🙂 There are few points I noticed that I madly wanted to share to this ever detail oriented fans.
1. The “Threats” – This is not the first time, if you can read my previous comments on your other post that Jose/Wally dropped bombs to A. It kinda confuse me. Why? Because I thought everything was proven (intentions) last Saturday’s episode. Obviously, A was smitten by M and JOWAPAO was very happy to witnessed that. So what’s with the threat right? Also, other than “lagot ka sakin” “dapat isa lang ang winner sa puso nyo” “di mo kami kilala” what really caught my attention was this “at kung plastic pala ang minamahal, dapat isama mo sa All for Juan, Juan for all.” What alerts me was the word “plastic”? Saan galing yun diba? With that specific comment, I’m worried for M, my ate instinct all over me. 🙂
2. Is there any one else who caught Yaya dubmashing this line at was not given attention lang; “Mahal mo ba ko dahil kelangan mo ko? O kelangan mo ko dahil mahal mo ko?”. After that line, I was like. Dude? Saan galing yung hugot na yun? Are they trying to get raw emotions from A just like yesterday’s episode, yung kiniss ni A yung monitor? Bakit naman ganun?
If I was A and my feelings are true, I will get hurt by all these. Parang balik turn tables again? That the other camp don’t like me again?
Last thought, I’m assuming. Okay “assumption” that this has something to with M’s letter. Maybe she’s waiting for a concrete signal from A. But no avail. That’s why Jose/Wally was being overprotective again. Her tweet today says it all. She shared her thoughts and feelings on the letter yet she’s not getting a response. Girls are impatient when they are waiting for clues. We don’t like being hanged.
I know we are all trying to read their actions. 🙂 I know at some point we are all over thinking because we want them to end up together. We want to guide them like the normal ates and kuyas. I’m keeping my hopes high for this too as I was never a fan of an LT before.

GGMY was initially dedicated to his Mom. I remember his friend tweeted na naiyak sya nung ni-record nya yun before for his album kasi he remembers his Mom with that song. 🙂 So dedicating it to Maine was a big move.
With all honesty, I know was A smitten na with M. But he can’t make a move now or afraid to make a move. Kasi hindi parin sila pede magkita/ something/ or he’s still trying to weigh things. A is a very serious guy, I know he’s overthinking things as of the moment. Therefore kahit inaanounce nya, or magtext sila if they can’t see each other it will be hard for A to court her. My two cents. I don’t know what’s the real score. 🙂

Alam natin lahat na nakilala yung song “ngayon” na GGMY dahil sa Kalyeserye. And sabi nga sa intro bago kumanta si Alden ng live last Sat., na yung song na kakantahin nya ay napaka espesyal kay Alden at Yaya Dub. So, nung tinanong sya ni Sam and he said na that song means a lot to him, “Alam na..” it has something to do with Maine kung bakit sya naiyak. Idagdag pa yung lyrics ng song. “..then out of the blue.. God gave me you…” Dito palang alam na alam na natin na yung lyrics talaga ng song isa parang nagsilbing indirect message ni A para kay M. Malaki yung nabago sa buhay at career nya mula ng nabuo yung Aldub. And sa tingin ko, hnd talaga sya naiyak dahil sa Mom nya this time. It was becoz of Maine.

Gosh, just finished talking with my colleague during our break regarding the episode today of KS. Guess what we have the same sentiments. Specially dun sa Plastic ni Wally….mashadong malamin at kahit sino masasaktan.
Given na may storyline na sila pero weird talaga. I know live yun but be sensitive enough……well let’s see what will happen tom. Hoping na wala na dubmashing line na patama

My Kuya said I was overthinking. But alam ko, may instincts says my “laman”. I guess they are now waiting for A next move and since wala pa they are getting impatient and making sure M is well protected. Even Allan felt it, sabi nya parang may hugot ang mga payo ng Lolas. To be honest, Yaya Dub’s character was already overshadowed by Maine. This is Maine they are protecting.
With the lines naman, I know why alden is not answering the lines. He was too giddy to hear Maine’s voice. I remember in one interview natutuwa daw sya pag nagsasalita si M. Kasi pag nag sasalita na si M na yun, pag nag dudubmash si Yaya daw yun.

if you were to ask me, totoo ang mga bilin ng Lolas kanina. at sabi nga ni Wally, e kung plastic daw (i guess he meant, kung di naman totoong tao) e idonate na sa plastic ni juan. wag pagaksayahan ng panahon ni M. Wally would be protective to Maine for sure, bukod sa sila lagi magkaeksena, it was the KS that brought him back to ‘stardom’. naredeem nya ang sarili nya sa past mistakes nya. and if not for Maine’s pabebe act on July 16, hindi mangyayari ang lahat ng ito. actually whether we accept it or not, we owe all this kilig to Maine kung di dahil sa reaction nya on that day walang nagkakagulong aldubnation hehe..at dahil dyan ang EB, JoWaPao and the whole aldubnation ay gustong ingatan si Maine, given na possible na masaktan pero kung maiiwasan bakit pa hahayaang mangyari diba? prevention is better than cure.

The part that i love about the recent episode are the threats. I firmly believe na may pinanghuhugutan si jose and wally. Nafeefeel ko lang and… i won’t share anymore my assumptions kasi mgkakaissue pa and they are mere ASSUMPTIONS and MIGHT BE UNNECESSARY APPREHENSIONS as an ALDUB fan. Pero tama lang naman na yung threats. Because dapat talaga walang lokohan sa totoong buhay.
But what I can say is M is a strong and smart person. She knows how to handle things and carry herself. What ARE really special about her are her genuineness and being natural on-screen. She’s a real ace in variety entertainment and hopefully, will be a great actress in the near future. And as of now kitang-kita naman na mahal din siya ng mga tao.
Kay A naman. I appreciate him being honest in all his interviews. I have been defending him all this time because I know that denying that he is in love with M or he likes M is a sign of seriousness and sincerity on his part. BUT if there are things that he needs to talk to M for the sake of their team and friendship, then he should (same way goes also to M). On that note, malapit naman na ata sila mgkausap kasi may movie. So I guess they will be able to talk soon.
Yun lang naman. I have no idea what is in the letter. Pero ang swerte ni Tisoy kasi nakatanggap siya ng letter personally from Meng. Maine knows how to express herself really well. Ang galing niya magsulat and I’m sure words were beautifully crafted in that letter. ANYONE would have been ecstatic receiving a letter from her.

I think the “threats” are not directed to Richard Faulkerson but to Alden the character in KS and to serve as words of wisdom from the lolas to the viewers. The plot is Alden is courting Yaya Dub so the “threats” are just natural.

Ang pinakamahirap na kalaban ng artista at politiko ay ang mapanghusgang paningin ng mga tao. Gusto man natin silang magkatuluyan sa tunay na buhay, maalala pa rin sana natin na tao lang sila. At hindi minamadali ang mga bagay bagay. Centro o bumubuo sa konsepto ng AlDub. Its nice to know that they will be together. Pero bata pa sila. Madami pa silang matutunan sa buhay. If God really gave them both to each other, lets just pray that they learn to guard they hearts according to God’s will. Happy lang 🙂 spread good vibes ika nga.

My thoughts exactly. Bata pa sila. Parang nakakalimutan ng mga tao kung gano pa kabata si Maine. Marami pa silang pagdadaanan. Hindi pa natin alam kung hanggang saan nila balak dalhin ang Kalyeserye. Ayoko sanang i-exhaust nila to like Pinoy Henyo to the point na sawa na mga tao. Enjoy muna tayo sa mga natatamasa nila ngayon.

There was a very subtle undertone in the “threats” Jose and Wally made, a tone that suggested that (even for a short moment) A /had/ to listen and take them seriously. I’m not going to lie, it made me a little uncomfortable to see how quickly the mood changed, but at the same time, I was relieved and happy to see how protective they were of M.
If there’s any consolation to the constant (and sometimes frustrating) back and forth between A & M, it’s this– M has a second family that’s willing to back her up and protect her no matter what.

I also loved the part in KS earlier where Wally and Jose talked to “Richard” (not Alden) and “threatened” him. Alam kong alam ni A kung gano kahalaga si M, whether for REEL or REAL. Tulad ng nasabi na ng iba, M is so well guarded these past few days. Cautious na sya. Iba na kasi yung tinatakbo ng storya. TNT na. By the way A is now looking at M, full attention na, hindi na parang sumasabay na lang sa agos ng storya. Alam nating nahuhulog na sya. Pero alam din nating alam ni M na maaring di pangmatagalan ang lovestory nila, lalo na kung hindi naman seryoso si A sa kanya. Kahit matapos ang KS, mukang di pa rin matatapos ang pagkakahook natin sa lovestory nila cause walang nakakaalam kung san ba sila hahantong. kung magtutuloy tuloy ba lovestory nila. Only God knows..and yes, what is bound to happen will find its way.

Your words brought back a memory of Maine’s last blog post, which I was lucky enough to read before her blog finally broke down from the heavy influx of visitors. It was a poem – very short and free flowing, and a bit cryptic.
In the first part of the poem, she expressed her happiness with what has been happening to her. Then, biglang kumambyo yung meaning sa last two or three lines. That’s when she realized she musn’t throw caution to the wind.
Sa bandang huli kasi napatigil sya at napaisip na posibleng mawala lng lahat. At wala naman syang kahahantungan kasi nga baka sya yung nagkamali sa pagbasa sa sitwasyon.
Poor girl! She’s a pessimist optimist kasi eh. She’s convinced na masasakatan lang silang dalawa (lahat?) sa huli kaya naisipan din nyang itigil na ang kahibangan nya (or nilang dalawa?). Hirap ksi iinterpret ung poem dahil nga sa cryptic sya.
Maine’s blog is still down. I can’t show you the poem so that you can make your own analysis. But, I think this shows how smart she is and she’s already prepared herself in case something bad happens and she ends up hurting.
Di ko napigilang mag-comment sa blog post na ‘yun. I reminded her na the future is not set in stone and that whatever miserable ending she envisioned for both of them may turn out into something wonderful. Moderated yung comments sa blog nya, so I hope nabasa nya yun bago tuluyang naging inaccessible ang site.
I think tama yung interpretation ng iba dito na on equal footing na sila. Nababalanse na nila yung private at public selves nila at marunong na silang magbasa ng mga galaw at facial expressions ng isa’t isa. Engaging in this kind of non-verbal communication is only possible after they’ve gotten to know each other na. It seems they’re operating on a deeper level than mere work colleagues now.
I don’t know whether they’ve become closer as friends or perhaps they have become more than that. What I do know is that they’re very happy with the kind of relationship they have now. Sana maging happy din tayo para sa kanila.

After reading all of the comments here, napaisip din ako.. Yeah medyo me hugot yung mga payo ni lola. And then when i was checking my twitter, Jose Manalo tweeted (@itsmeJoseManalo) though i am not sure if it wss really him says ” Don’t fall for sweet words, fall for sweet efforts” hmmmmmm *napaisip ulit ako*
However, baka naman din the writer is setting us up for something grand on their weeksarry.
Anyway, like what others here says…. let us just enjoy the show and hope that both A & M will have strength and wisdom on how they will going to handle their situation, on and off cam.

I have been wanting to leave a comment since Mr Vilo posted the article with regards to Alden but then didn’t really had the chance.
I have been secretly rejoicing the moment I learned that there are (a lot) of people having the same thoughts as I do with regards to M being “distant” and not being her usual kinikilig girl. The feminist in me jumps for joy as I know that should A not pursue her, M would not be left shattered. M has been “out” since last week. She is not the real her (regardless of them being in constant communication with each other). She has been obviously giving hints in her Twitter posts of her deep set emotions – I love her to bits because of her courage (despite the criticisms that many may say about her being so bold – she is being her “the girl who constantly expresses herself in social media, not pretentious, carefree).
Yes, I still believe that she still has kilig inside her, but she is now being so ever impatient with the guy – being so objective of all his moves. Yes, I agree with Mr Vilo of following what she really feels and not being influenced by people’s opinion. This is exactly what M is doing. This is the real her – you can see it in her eyes. She may act kilig but her eyes give away the real emotions inside. I have read in one of the interviews with the production staff that both them and M has a say on the songs / dubsmash to be used in KS. I really think that yesterday’s wag mo na akong landiin and today’s kaibigan mo lang were her personal choices? I am playing the villain here but I really think these lines come from her heart.
I shall leave my thoughts on Mr Vilo’s earlier article tonight.

This is me trying to look at the bigger picture in all of this: The general consensus of the comments in here is that M has been more distant and cautious lately when it comes to showcasing how she feels. While it is completely possible that it is due to the fact that she has been feeling more frustrated with the lack of acknowledgement from A, I also think that there’s a lot of other factors that can be attributed to why she is acting the way she is today.
Case in point:
1) I read a comment that suggested that these two are feeling more and more comfortable with each other– This is to be expected after working with each other as long as they have. M does appreciate A’s gestures, she smiles and while it is hard to see, there’s still that subtle spark behind her eyes.
2) A does the same thing over and over again. Goodness, if I were in her shoes, I wouldn’t smile as much or as wide as I did (from the first pick-up line) after it’s done 130985 times.
2.a) Since A does the same thing over and over again, it’s easy for someone to doubt if their feelings are true or not. Just look at all the instances A did something she did not expect, all the instances that he truly did surprise her (the hat from Bicol, the letter, the 1st time he called her Meng, the pillow with her picture in it). If we (and by we I mean Us and A) want to see M’s eyes twinkle as bright as they did before, he needs to surprise her again.

ANYWAY, I think it’s unfair that everyone expects them to get together (at least this early on) We’re all forgetting that they do have a movie together and that there’s a high possibility that they would have a scened with each other, which would then give them a chance to properly hangout without the prying eyes of the public that want them to get married right here and now.
I think I’m going to end there. Hope I didn’t sound like a drunk.

You don’t sound drunk. I actually agree with you, especially on Point 2. If Aldub scenes would rely solely on A’s actions, the show would be SOOO boring. Kumain at nagkwentuhan/dubsmash lang siguro sila nung Saturday. And usually puro pick-up lines at pa-cute lang ang ginagawa nya (though he may be coming down with something so I’ll give him a pass for the lack of gimmick and energy today). But for not asking for a follow-up date? Ano’ng gusto niya si Lola Nidora na naman ang magreregalo sa kanya?
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not thinking of it as Richard not having interest in Maine. I’m getting more convinced as the show goes on that Alden (the actor) just isn’t very good at improv. Sure, he’s a good actor when he gets to study the script and is given direction. But he lacks the presence of mind and wit to react to the situations in KS. Kulang sya sa initiative and creativity…
Just imagine if he reacted differently in certain instances like: during the long table date, if he ran after Yaya to give back the clipboard she left, that would’ve added to the suspense…. or when he replied “Nasaan ba yung tatay mo?” when Yaya said “paalam ka muna sa tatay ko”, a new character would’ve been introduced. But he was too focused on what he was going to do (sing Wish I Maine) than to be attentive to the actions of his co-actors. Or if he would have been more assertive in his responses to the Lola’s “threats” earlier…
So let’s not be surprised if the rest of the KS becomes scripted. I don’t think we can rely on Alden for the “surprises” that would move the story along. The director has to feed it to him… All that said, I don’t think that means that they still can’t get together behind the scenes. I just know not to relate all the events that are happening in KS to what is happening in real life.

Agree…yan din napansin ko minsan kay A, para sya laging nagaabang sa instruction ng staff ano ba gagawin. he needs to be more spontaneous like M kasi dun nagsimula ang KS..sa unplanned o unexpected na reaction. but lately he is paying more attention to M it is just that minsan di sya nakafocus sa sinasabi ata ng JoWaPao parang feeling nya siguro part ng script? hehe

Ha! I agree with Madolldoll completely! People forget that KalyeSerye is headlined by 4 comedy improv geniuses – 3 dudes and 1 chick. They are great at improvising and reacting “on the spot”. The 4 comedians make it look easy and effortless, but in reality IT IS A VERY HARD THING TO DO. Even Alden being dragged into KalyeSerya was initial an “improv” thing. They wanted to use Alden as a prop to shake Maine out of her character. It worked beyond their expectation.
Alden is a “dramatic” actor. You can’t cry for no reason, but you can make people laugh for no reason. Different genres, different acting techniques. If Yaya Dub used to do all the work in the beginning, it was because she was more comfortable with freestyle acting and had to carry the scenes in order to make the “love” comedy plot work. Now that AlDub is official a “Love Team” rather than just a “Love Interest”, the only reason Alden is effective is because he has learned to his cues from Yaya Dub (part of the reason he seems “more interest”) She no longer has to over-act, he can now carry his part well
Case in point: Akyat Ligaw episode. While the 4 looked like they were having the time of their lives (why not? They saw so many opportunities for comedy!) You can see Alden having to really WORK to play catch up. He knew he needed to keep up with the team. And he did a great job, but I’m sure he was nervous. He didn’t want to be boring.

That is why I am such a huge fan of M’s. With barely 3 months of experience in showbiz, she is able to keep up with the veterans. It is one thing to act perfectly in a teleserye or movie after having several tries/”takes” at it, but to have to do comedy effectively on-the-fly requires another set of skills which she possesses. That is what sets her apart from her peers. Add to that the fact that she enjoys making us all laugh (even at the expense of making herself look foolish) makes me enjoy watching her so much.

I’m starting to feel like that this is becoming a blame game. I used to be overprotective towards Maine too but I think you’re being unfair to Alden. You can’t expect him to act in a certain way just because you think it’s more sensible. I agree that he’s not good at improv — but that’s out of context. That has nothing to do with his feelings for chrissake. People saying he needs to be like this, he has to be like that, AH HEAVEN KNOWS HOW SICK I AM WITH ALL THAT. I admit, I’ve been disappointed with him for a couple of times already, but didn’t you realize that like Maine, all of these is new to him? That he is just as overwhelmed as Maine with everything that’s happening? I think you guys are becoming too dictating. Try putting Maine in his shoes, and him on her shoes, would you have thought about it the same way?

I don’t know if your reply is for my comment. But I actually agree with you. We shouldn’t dictate how Richard Faulkerson Jr. should act or feel in real life. I never mentioned anything about his feelings anyway so I’m a little surprised with the tone of your comment.
My comment was a criticism of Alden, the character in an improv skit. I’m distinguishing between real and reel here. It is not my business to meddle into Richard’s real/personal feelings/relationship towards Maine so I’m not doing that. What I’m saying is that I think that his character (Alden) should be more assertive. You can’t expect Yaya Dub (The character – not Maine ha? see the distinction?) to be the one asking when Alden will visit her again, do you? How can we expect any progress in the relationship of the CHARACTERS and any development in the story if all he ever does is watch her perform (which is what he did today)? He didn’t react to what Yaya Dub was saying, he was just interested to hear her talk. He became a spectator today not an actor. Is it too much to ask for him to be an actor again?

I can agree with you in Alden’s improv skills but I think that’s part of the mystery of KS. Mas magaling talaga siya sa drama. Pwede niya pa rin naman matutunan yung skills sa comedy, paturo siya sa TVJ.

Yup. Isa yon sa hatak ng series – its unpredicatability.
Pwede pa rin naman na magfocus lang sya sa drama at pakilig (kasi magaling sya don) and leave the comedy to MaJoWaPao. It’s working naman. I’d rather see him play himself lang (not too cartoonish like Yaya). It’s just that it’s at a stage in the story where the pakulo should already come from him. Kahit scripted naman at di true-to-life OK lang kasi ayoko maghintay na maging sila in real life bago maging sila ni Yaya sa KS. (Masyadong mababa ang EQ ko to wait that long. Haha.)
But I re-watched the show and OK lang din naman pala yung naging interaction nila (and A’s reactions) in that ep for me kasi yung focus nila e yung “voice within” ni Yaya.

@Madolldoll May pagka-OC si Alden kc. He’s probably more at ease in a structured environment. Kalyeserye really takes him out of his comfort zone. But, Alden seems like a fast learner who can think on his toes. And, he’s really loosened up these days. It’s apparent that Maine is the one on the driver’s seat of the Aldub loveteam.

True. I hope he learns faster though. Nakukulangan lang talaga ako sa portrayal nya ng “ardent suitor”. To think that the female newcomer is at the driver’s seat of the love team is odd, di ba?
Some of the comments by others about him holding back because he may still be hesitant in real life may hold some water. Pero why bring it with to his portrayal in KS? Kagagawan din naman nya yon e. Why does he keep using Maine’s name kasi? To throw off the other person? Pointless. Kung mag-“dadamoves” sya kay Maine, he should do it behind the cameras. He should be more committed to his character in KS – stick to being Alden and start treating Maineas Yaya Dub. Otherwise, he’s going to continue looking like the amateur in this tandem.

Para maiba naman… I was actually happy with today’s episode kasi Kalyeserye is unraveling Maine Mendoza’s talents. She not only got to sing a few lines. She also acted brilliantly in this portion of the video where she fake dubsmashed “Ohh, yes, kaibigan mo ako… kaibigan mo lang ako. It was easy to miss because she did it so seamlessly. I hope they show a replay tomorrow so she’d be given credit for her work… Seriously, for someone who’s been in the business for less than 3 months? Amazeballs!
As for the plot, it may not have had ANY development but I like that they’re keeping us guessing where they’re going to bring this story. Alden could pull up a sign that reveals “kami na po ni Yaya” (even if it’s obviously reel and scripted) or “nag-uusap na po kami ni Meng” or “aksidenteng nagkahawakan po kami ng kamay” or any other harebrained reason that isn’t crucial to the story before another date transpires. (After all, the KS is supposed to be a work of fiction. May pagka-Choose Your Own Adventure nga lang.)
But I do get the letdown most of you felt with A’s answer in the laglagan wars. I thought he cried because he was overflowing with gratitude for Maine’s contribution to his success. Hindi pala? Or if it was that, he downplayed it to the point that it came off as though it was a meaningless act. Baka naiyak lang sya dahil sa kaba sa pagkanta ng live. Oh well.

is it just me or i don’t know whenever he will be asked with questions about M parang lagi syang “patay malisya” na it looks so “showbiz” 😦 sad lang ako kasi nga parang everyone is saying how good a person he is pero “showbiz” pa rin ang answers… i am not saying he should divulge his soul to the public but atleast be more sincere lang ba… para kasing “pa-cute” yung sagot 😦 😦

(I just assumed it was gratitude towards Maine because he said it after saying that he’s always saying “Thank you” then he dedicated it to Meng not Yaya Dub. But I may have assumed wrong.)
I’ll just chalk it up to him being inarticulate to water down the disappointment. Hahaha.
Truth is he is the only one who really knows what he really felt and what he meant when he dedicated the song to Meng. He was kinda just forced to sing the song anyway (because it was a condition for his character to meet Yaya Dub) so I shouldn’t have expected too much from that gesture to begin with. My bad.

Comment lang regarding what you wrote about him being just forced to sing GGMY. Sure, it was one of the conditions given by Lola, but who’s to say if in the planning of that show, he did not request for that to be included? For the past few days before the akyat ligaw ep, I have read comments here of disappointment over A’s supposed non-acknowledgment of M’s role in the resurgence of A’s career and popularity, among other things. That he did it by dedicating the song to M is big deal for me because he wanted it to be witnessed on national television ( and by their international fans through video replays, as well)- proper acknowledgment talaga, hindi lang answer to Sam YG which can be misconstrued as just pa-kilig or fan service. So for me, there is no need to clarify his reasons for doing so- ang linaw naman eh, more so because he went off key.

Sure, there is a possibility that he may have requested it. But because I don’t have any personal knowledge of what happened BTS, I don’t want to make such baseless speculations.
As for A’s answer to Sam YG, I saw it differently as I have earlier stated (and we can agree to disagree on this).
As for the reasons being clear, all I have to do is ask you to read the comments others in this forum have written about it to prove to you that it can be interpreted several different ways. I just offered my take on it. Also, if it was clear, why would Sam even bother to ask? Again, we can agree to disagree. I am not forcing my opinions on anyone here.
As for his off-key singing, I think anyone is capable of singing off-key so I can’t really put much importance on that.
But may I also add that I realized after reading Richard’s IG post about the card that he also had a hand in M’s success. If he didn’t agree to join the KS, Maine also wouldn’t shine as bright as she does now. I guess I was disappointed because it is usually more polite to thank specific people in addition to thanking God when receiving an abundance of blessings (just like when Sugod Bahay winners only thank God without acknowledging the show or the hosts/sponsors, they come off as ingrates). But if it doesn’t bother M, why should I be disappointed? They have both contributed to each other’s success so they may deem it unnecessary to thank each other.

I’d like to give my two cents on Alden’s answer regarding the song. I think it would be sensible to think of it as an indirect way of saying Maine was special to her. Because he sang a song that meant so much to him for her. Or you could actually think that answer is as honest as it could be, because the song was dedicated to his mother. I don’t see anything wrong with it, unless I overthink it. We create problems that don’t exist when we overthink.
Sigh. I feel bad that a lot of people here are acting as if what transpired last Saturday isn’t enough of a validation. I don’t think being doubtful is unhealthy, but too much doubt will be.

Hi Pau, I think we’re not on the same page about the “validation” of his feelings (?). You see, I don’t have any opinion on RFJ’s romantic feelings toward Maine in relation to his actions in the KS.
Here’s a part of my previous post: “I have given up reading too much into the actors’ emotions/intentions for each other. Any feelings they have for each other – good or bad – are theirs to keep. I will tune in to the show even if their relationship stays reel. As much as I want them to be a real couple, it’s none of our business how they make that happen (if they ever do). I have a greater desire to see them both succeed as individuals than for them to satisfy our desire to turn Aldub into Maichard/Rimaine.”
I also mentioned in another post that I think that any advise they will need regarding matters of the heart, they can get from their family members and friends who really know them. Pampagulo lang tayo. But I do get the need to share our feels somehow so this forum is a good outlet.
As for my interpretation of Alden crying and dedicating GGMY to Meng. I thought of it as a gesture of an actor towards a colleague lang (not as a love interest). See my reply to Fairy above.

For todays episode, I can only assume that something is a bit off. When the “payos” of lola nidora and tinidora came in to the scene, I heard them as Wally Bayola and Jose Manalo giving what not to do’s and threats to A. Wally and Jose stood as a big brother for M. For the past two months, it’s not impossible for M to share her thoughts or feelings(the not too personal feelings) to the trio jowapao. She can always open up questions offcam to the trio in connection to A. Think of it as M is the youngest of the siblings asking for her elder brothers an advice. It’s always possible for that to happen.The hugot line that was personally said by M during todays KS episode included “Alden”, which then, can have a deep meaning personally to M’s emotion towards A. But as a fan for both A and M, let’s hope that the writers can think of a way to let the real feelings of this two be developed to a higher and concrete level.

Good take on this Cy. I have not yet seen the episode today, just clips of it in Twitter. Based on the comments, as per the advices given by both “kuyas”, I should say that this is just an affirmation of their behaviour during last Saturday’s episode – you would notice how Jose, not Lola Tinidora, being so vigilant of A’s actions and reactions to M (when she first met him all the way to the end of the episode). He even cannot contain his feelings (by hiding at the back of the curtains). This just manifests how deeply interested he is in how these two would be acting and reacting to each other’s presence. Jose’s stares on A channels the deeply rooted desire to read A’s reactions – yes, Jose was affirmed that A has fallen for her. But then what? Maybe, just maybe, there have been actions or no actions done and not done yet, hence the advices given to A in today’s episode. Yes, I am being very personal with these two, being so overly feminist and realist at the same time. Both of them are smart chaps guarding themselves from being torn into pieces (but in reality they already are!) I just hope that out of the glaring lights, they will still be able to find their selves again, enjoy life continue being real – not scripted beings pushed from one emotion to another.

How clueless was our boy earlier. tsk. Nag focus siya sa fact na nag sasalita si M via dubsmash. But he really should have listened to what M was saying “pwede ba, wag mo akong landiin” and the other one na may “Alden” pa sa dulo. Sayang talaga!! Kita sa mata ni M na nadisappoint siya sa actions ni A. Sa 2nd part ng KS halatang 100% acting nalang tuloy si M. tsk. Bawi bukas, A!!

I am at work and I am actually making use of paid time to read and respond to your comments! (spell addiction! – ME) Yes, I agree chuckbestseries. It is now evidently clear how talented M is – how she handles herself well, impromptu or scripted. We have all seen this during last Saturday’s episode where she initiated scenes as well as the impromptu actions with the sliding door, superb! As for A, yes, he is indeed a good actor, after reviewing and memorizing his script (overnight?). There comes the difference of their expertise. We could hope then for the best that they will be able to sustain the chemistry and learn how to compliment each other’s talents.

My exact thoughts! I was reading a lot of comments after rewatching today’s episode. I was disappointed on A’s responses towards Maine’s fake dubsmashing (or talking). After the ” that was all I ever was to you, Alden” line, A just responded with “more”. I mean… really? that’s it?. Oh boy, that’s kind of impolite and rude ( think so). He could have thought of a better way to respond to that.

Here’s my take on that. I have read upon some article before that A was really apprehensive when M talks. His reasons is that when she talks, she’s not Yaya Dub but Maine herself. So I guess, that must have something to do why he’s more focus on M talking than hearing what those lines mean.

Here’s my take on today’s episode. I heard different interpretations again here in the comments section and I find the discussions healthy (as there are already no assertive suggestions as before). Most of my observations were already aired here and I find it accurate. What I want to say is, let us all not forget that although last Saturday showed us something ‘real’, the KS in general, is still a skit. Let’s not focus our attention not only to A and M (for example when something deviates from our expectations, there’s already something wrong between the two), but also to the others who take part in this story, JoWaPao+ writers and us. Let’s not forget that there is a general story above everything we see. Who knows, these threats or whatevers are just techniques made by the writers to make the story more interesting and prepare us for something grandiose again. I think you will agree with me that a linear story is a boring story, and maybe that is what the writers are trying to accomplish. In the end, it still pays to just wait and see and believe in what you believe than to overthink and overanalyze. I also want to re-echo the observation of others here, that it seems there is already on-going private communication between the two. If that is the case, it would be more interesting than the uttered dialogues we heard.

One more, if there’s really something negative going on off-cam, why do you think the threat will be aired live? W and J could have said it to A in person and not on live TV as it will be open again to interpretations. Just my two cents. This might be something else.

After watching today’s episode and reading all the comments, my kilig for last Sat’s episode has now waned. When I saw M’s twitter post these past two days, I already have a feeling that something is amiss. Parang parinig kay A ung mga post nya esp the one today wherein it says people should say what they feel. To be fair to A, we can see base on Sat’s episode that he was really affected by M, but what we don’t know is the extent of his feelings. There are always two sides to a story. M could be feeling impatient because she is expecting something, any reaction or action on A’s part that is off cam. White ito namang si A is not really doing anything outside of the KS cheesy FS. Base on the dubsmash lines M used today, I have a feeling they are not communicating outside of KS. (Jose was so protective of M in this episode, ung mga threats nya were all half meant)
Here’s my take on A’s passive behavior:
1. It’s possible that he’s still unsure of his feelings for M. Yes, he is attracted to her but I have a feeling he really wants to get to know her. To quote his starstruck interview, “hindi pa kilala, mahal na”. That says a lot about what he wants. I think he really wants to start as her friend then gradually move forward to courting once he’s sure that their personalities match. Maybe that’s why he’s not in any hurry to make any move off cam since he knows malapit na rin sila magsama because they have a movie together, plus there’s the hint of a concert pa & teleserye depending on how their movie fares.
2. His priority is still his career. Things are starting to pick up in his career and he wants to focus on this. Plus he may not have the time to do a proper courtship right now. He works 7 days a week. Location wise palang, they live so far from each other! North to South ang peg nila! Here’s where the “tamang panahon” comes into play. Sometimes it’s not about meeting the right person but meeting that person during the right time. No matter how much they want to be together, if it’s not the right time for either one of them it will never work. Maybe A doesn’t want to start something na hindi nya rin kaya panindigan for now. Kaya he said this line last Sun after the akyat ligaw episode. “Naniniwala ako may forever sa tamang panahon”
3. I wanted to say baka nga talagang magaling lang sya magpakilig & he’s not serious about M, but when I think about last Sat’s episode, he seemed so smitten with M, so maybe not.
But I get what M is feeling. Such a roller coaster of emotions. Base on sat’s episode, I had very high expectations from A. Labo! Affected much! Hahahaha!

Yes. I echo your sentiment. Because after last Sat’s ep, I was constantly stalking both A&M’ tweets. And today that cryptic msg of M says it all. No communication offcam. Oh, well. Sooner, they’re bound to talk sa film. But our girl is getting impatient.

I just can’t contain this to myself. Now, I understand why Jose issued those threats to A and why Wally said those about just having one love (the sugod bahay allusion). May mga fans na nakapuna abt A and a former LT partner certain actions last Sunday’s episode of SPS. While I can’t verify this info, I’m pretty sure EB staff and SPS staff knows and word has come out. That’s why our girl, M, was quiet last Sunday on her Twitter, and thus her tweet today, and that ep. Hmm. Kaya ganon na lang ka-protective ang mga kuya/lolas kay M. Sana di totoo itong chismis, at gawa gawa lang to generate publicity for whoever party gains in this chismis. It is after all showbiz.

Yung mga dubsmash lines ni M parang patama talaga kay A ah, “there was never an us…wag mo ko landiin” at “kaibigan mo lang ako and that’s all i ever was to you Alden”. Gusto lang ba nila makuha yung reaksyon ni A? Yung threats nina jose at wally parang totohanan na e. I think yung mga writers ng EB binibase na rin yung takbo ng istorya sa mga ganap off cam. And they really want to protect M…Bakit ganun yung tweet ni M? Confused pa rin ba sya kay A? …May kinalaman ba dito si Julie na according to some sources (not confirmed though) e nagiging close na naman kay A kaya nasabi nina Jose wag lolokohin si M. But then we can only just speculate. Sa tingin ko naman may feelings na talaga si A kay M pero siguro hindi pa nya kaya ipursue agad agad si M dahil sa sobrang pagka busy nya ngayon. Sabi nya sa starstruck malalaman mong mahal mo ang isang tao pag binibigyan mo na ng oras…na yun ang wala sya ngayon so sad. Wala na nga time sa family pano pa sa love life. Wala na syang pahinga kawawa naman. Nakakairita lang ang GMA, tanggap lang ng tanggap ng trabaho para kay A na ultimo pipichuging beauty contest e si A pa ang sinasalang. Pagtrabahuhin naman yung ibang talents nila, hindi porke sikat na sikat si A aabusuhin nila. He is a big star now alagaan naman nila yung health ng bata (at para magkaron din ng time for M hehe).

I agree, today was a drastic shift of energy from Saturday. I don’t actually where this is heading to again. But man, human physiology don’t lie, what happened last Saturday was far from plain acting and we can all agree to that. As what I was re-echoing weeks over weeks, I hope the KS team will make a way that these two souls communicate privately if it is not happening yet. The team might see the death of the magic they created if not.

I agree! if the staffs wanted to make the magic last longer (not to mention Brian White has a concert here na sa December pa) Alagaan sana nila yung feelings nung dalawa. Alam naman ng lahat na may gusto sila sa isa’t isa. sana tulungan nila yung mga bata.

I agree as well. Let us trust that the people behind KS know what they are doing. Heck, they have been doing this for 36 years! And let us also remember that the people who make up the show treat each other like family, so putting something in the show that can possibly hurt a member is not likely. As Doctor Bee wrote, you only have to think back to what we witnessed on that epic Saturday not to relive the kilig, but to remember that real emotions were shown. I understand that much of the frustration comes from our desire to see them be together for real, to take the path we dream for them, now na. But we can’t decide for them, and we can’t dictate to them. Part of the reason why we are so in love with this pair is because we can see that they are really good people, with good heads on their shoulders, and values, strength and maturity that belie their young age. Can’t we trust them to make the decisions that are best for them, that each will not willfully do things that will hurt the other? And can we mean it when we say that we will just sit back and enjoy this fantastic treat that we have been given?

I am almost certain that some of the more mature members of the show know how our lead characters really feel. I feel certain that they are getting advice on how to balance showbiz considerations with their personal lives.

I think what cause these apprehensions are – the chismis on what happened backstage at SPS and the cryptic twitter messages. Kung wala iyon we will all assume na part of the story line lahat ng nangyari ngayon. Boring din kasi kung walang conflict and KS. Hindi naman puwede palitan lang ng cheesy FS the whole 30 minutes. We get affected because of the background noise. I feel bad for A kasi historically pag nabuwag ang LT, it is the guy who suffers professionally (see Pip, Bobot, Gabby, William….and probably more hindi ko lang alam kasi kay William and Maricel nag end ang pagfollow ko ng LT). Until now….

Sa tingin ko mas marami ang bias kay Maine at guilty ako dyan sorry but I just adore her so much.Ang laki ng pressure kay A sa totoo lang, one wrong move pwede mawala lahat, kahit gaano pa sya kabait. Ngayon pa nga lang nababash na sya e.

Ako rin biased for Maine but I feel kawawa si Alden dahil this can all go away and even worse baka maging kontrabida pa siya. Maybe alam niya iyon kaya make hay while the sun shines ang ginagawa niya to the detriment of his health and future success. Konting hinay hijo. Enjoy yourself.

Poor A. We seem to be dooming him into his destiny. Wag naman natin sya ikulong sa mga hawla ng ating mga pangarap para sa kanila (sensya effect ni Sir Vilo ito).
Examples ko naman sina Richard Gomez and Aga Mulach for those who still had successful careers even after their relationships ended with their love teams. Though I don’t have much regard for them as actors, they still managed to have blockbuster movies post-breakups I think (though di ako sure kasi di ako fan). Look at Richard and Dawn now who are both happily married to their respective spouses but still get to work on hit movies/TV shows together.
I think Alden and Maine are both good actors who seem to be working hard on their craft. And may I add: GOOD ROLE MODELS too (so far, at least) so I think they deserve to be successful even if their tandem stays reel.

I’ve been sensing a trend sa mga KS episodes the past weeks. super downer ng 1st half of the week tapos babawi sa 2nd half. Last week super dami nating doubts kay A. issue dito sa blog ni Sir Vilo na umabot 1k+ comments pa nga e!! tapos what happened? in love na in love nanaman tayo sa dalawa nating bida at the end of the week! ❤ lol. What I'm saying is enjoyin nalang natin ang panunuod ng KS 🙂 I'm sure malupit nanaman ang mangyayari sa sabado!
Oops!! ang sinabi ko sa taas e ME as a TV viewer. but as someone na fan in real life na MaiChard?? I'm getting tired of what's developing. walang continuation akong nakikita. Sana mali ako. Pakilig ng isa o dalawang araw. tapos wala lang sa susunod. Alam ko, ang hirap humingi ng humingi dahil viewers lang tayo, pero seryoso.. Kung ako si M mapapagod na ako.. AFTER EVERYTHING that happened since the abduction ended and nag date sila twice.. I can feel na walang ngyayari OFFCAM. Kung ako si M na pinapakitaan mo ng ganyang emotions ONCAM aba dapat meron nadin OFFCAM..
Kaya ganyan mga dubsmash ni M today(sept 29) e. or since kahapon pa, kasi as a girl, she needs A's continuous reassurance ng feelings niya. Ganon e. for the simple reason na may gusto din kasi siya ka A.
Sorry magulo ba? medyo beast mode ako e. kakauwi ko lang from work. lol. Sana mali talaga ako sa 2nd and 3rd paragraph ko

Sir Vilo, absolutely love the blog. I had to remember my long forgotten ID/password just to comment.
To begin, I’m a huge EB fan. I’ve been watching the show for ages. I adore Kalyeserye and ALDUB. I had to read back through hundreds of comments just so I can start to organize what I’d write. I had a point, but then I got distracted by Dawin.
Anyway, I feel like the EB writers are getting ideas from what people discuss online. They see doubts, they incorporate it. They give the people what they want… slowly and painfully. Just a thought.

Sana mging considerate ang SPS s ALDUBNATION, I hv nothing against JAPS but ALDUB is still blossoming and in peak of their LT. Sana wag i divert muna s iba. Masisira ang hype kaagad. hindi po lahat fans maiintindihan ang maturity at pagkakaiba ng trabaho s personal lalo nat showbiz eto at hahanapan at hahanapan sila ng butas. Ang importante lang s akin is di tayo niloloko ng ALDUB para lang paasahin tayo sa wala. Also, pls gma give Alden some time to rest. We understand kapag sikat hangat maari dapat super visible pero di naman magugustuhan namin mga fans if pati health maapektuhan. Thats all I thank You.

I think si J hindi pa nakaka move on kay A based on her posts sa IG puro patama kay A, but I could be wrong.. Yung SPS matagal na naplano bago pa lang magka aldub, so wala tayo magagawa kung makikita natin si A & J sa screen, sakit lang sa mata.Nakakatakot lang baka may ma rekindle. Ugh!

Tama! We should be balance sa lahat. Lahat tayo affected sa mga nagaganap di ba at alam kong mas concern ang marami kay Maine dahil newbie siya sa showbiz at napaka innocent niya. She’s the sister that I never have and wish to have. Kaya we are becoming overprotective sa kanya. We know how a girl fall in love and alam kong alam din ni Maine yun. As you can see, she’s also guarding her heart. She’s taking it slowly but surely. Guys, nasa tamang edad naman na si Maine para malaman niya kung anong dapat niyang gawin sa mga natatanggap niyang blessings ngayon and take note, nandyan yung JoWaPao na alam na alam nating bubugbugin si Alden kapag sinaktan si Maine. Alam kasi nila kung gaano ka shrewd ang showbiz coz the’ve been there and done numerous things (good and bad) kaya they want to keep Maine away from all those shrewd things na pwedeng makasira sa kanya. Maine is as strong as a fiber glass but still fragile when someone broke it.
Pero paano naman ung side ng guy. Siyempre biglang buhos ba naman ng biyaya sa kanya eh hindi siya magiging abala, pagod, puyat at minsan nagkakasakit pa nga. Sa palagay niyo ba magkakaroon siya ng time magreflect sa lahat ng blessings at trabaho na dumadating sa kanya? He’s also a human being guys kaya don’t ridicule him to some of our opinions kung hindi natin siya kilala ng lubos. Napatunayan naman na niya yun nung Sabado and trust me, guys like him, who cries for a girl will forever stick to that girl. We just need to wait for that right time to come. Hindi natin silang pwedeng itulak sa isa’t isa dahil gusto lang ng lahat. Hayaan natin sila mismo ang makatuklas nung nararamdaman nila sa isa’t isa. Ganoon namam ang tinuturo sa atin ng KS di ba? Always wait for the right time to come and always remember… Great things comes to thise who wait.
As fans, we should enjoy everything that were watching. Don’t go overboard sa mga napapansin natin. Guys, wag tayo maging SOCO sa lahat ng kilos nila. Sa palagay nyo ba naeenjoy yung pagoobserve sa kilos nila masyado? Of course not, enjoyin lang natin guys. Lahat naman tayo gusto natin silang magkatuluyan. Hayaan lang natin sila guys, sila dapat makadiscover nun sa sarili nila. Ika nga, Love moves in mysterious ways.
Kung pinagkita silang muli after 5 years, sa palagay niyo walang kahulugan iyon? Let’s all wait patiently and keep spreading the love. 😉

ganito na lang po isipin mo, kapag nagisip po tayo ng mga bagay bagay na hindi naman po natin need iworry, avoid na lang po natin. Kasi baka parati na lang natin papansin ung kilos ng dalawa at ang result nun is disappointment. Mahirap yun kasi lalong lalalim yung paniniwala natin na may “mali” nga (kahit wala naman). Also, think of how changed our viewing habits. They are spreading good vibes at sana ay iyon lang din ang gawin natin. 🙂

Kahit ano namang mangyari glamoroso parin any buhay ni M kasi ang daming nagmamahal at handang promotekta sa kanya. And as for A, well just think.. Put a little bit action of what you’re saying. Hindi yung ATM ka lang din kay M.

I just watched the KSr eplay and in my opinion, may halong spontaneous lang yung “threat” ng mga Lola’s kay A dahil doon sa kwento ni Jose about Bill. Oo yung pagkakasabi ni Jose with conviction at talagang ramdam na ramdam, for sure half meant yun parang payo na din reel at real life. As for M’s hugot lines, parang ang take ko lang is meron lang sya konkesyon sa mga susunod na episode ng KS as in like paano papatunayan ni A sa KS na more than just friends ang nararaman nya para kay M. Hindi ako masyado nagaalala dooon sa “threat” like most comments in here kundi sa tingin ko ay parte lang talaga ng preogression ng story so let’s sit back and relaxlang aldubnation. Sabi nga ni Lola sa tamang panahon! Hintayin nalang natin ang epi bukas at abanagan kung ano ang meron sa weeksary at sa Sabado.

Well all I can say is that M is starting to show her talents one by one. First she can dubsmash, she can dance, then she can play the drums, then we learned she can sing, damn well, then yung dalawang hugot lines ni M shows she can act well. Let’s also add that she can take cues and can carry spontaneous plot without a script?! Whether magkatulyan sila ni A o hindi, malayo ang mararating ng batang to.

Glad to know a person who shares the same thoughts as I have. Im sure that you had watched the replay of todays episode by now. I admire Jose for being a protective,thoughtful lola/co-host to M. Todays episode was a shock for all, who would have thought that despite all the love and kilig moments that happened last Saturday, Jose and Wally would give an advice very threatening like what they’ve just said. I thinks it’s either part of the script for the story to be more interesting or an honest piece of advice given to Richard F. jr. if he were to break M’s heart. Now lets not be a pessimistic person like our princess. Lets just hope all things will fall into their proper places.” What’s bound to happen will find its way.” thanks !

1. First watched the last ep reaction: Gasp. Something feels off. Lahat may pinaghuhugutan. Good for him. A dose of his own meds. Ano na patutunguhan ng show may veiled antagonism na between the actors?
2. Second viewing reaction: Talagang may hugot e. Nakakasakit. Bakit napapailing si Joey?
3. Third viewing: *Objective viewing *Suspended judgment. Haha. Nakakatawa dynamics ng mga character. Binanatan nila si A sa una 3 against 1 gumanti siya sa kanila sa huli binitin silang tatlo (at lahat ng taong bayan). Pero may emotions na involved. If Maine is hurting, uncalled for iyong ginawa nila from Alden’s end. May hurt din siya.He is trying to brush off mga patutsada nilang tatlo and tried to connect with Yaya. Ang galing gumawa ng spontaneous kuwento ni Jose. Benta. Si Maine magaling talaga sa improv at spontaneous acting. Level the playing field. Start from the top. To break the ice and magbonding sila as talagang tropa lumabas sana sila as a group. Pwede kasi sila sa sitcom.

before i hit the haysack, i want to throw my thoughts here so i can sleep soundly tonight. i’ve read all the comments and i am very disappointed. honestly, di pa ba kayo natuto sa progress ng KS? complain, complain, all we do is complain. we read too much between the lines when there’s nothing to read, really! i think the threat was infact a prop used to carry on with the story. especially with the bill thing. diba there’s a conflict between bill and tinidora? na parang nanghihinayang sya that they had to end their relationship? at sabi pa nya, alden and yaya dub reminded him of how it was before when her and bill were still together? and the “hugot lines” naman is to showcase maine’s acting at diba unti-unti na nilang nirreveal yung voice nya? (by the way she delivered those hugot lines, omg, amazing!!!) kung lalagyan nyo nalang din ng malisya, sana pati yung chosen song ni maine, binigyan nyo na rin ng kahulugan? o, ano pa? susmarya! maawa naman kayo kay alden, hindi pa ba sapat yung nangyari nung sabado? please lang. okay, wait. kakalma lang ako… alam nyo, sa ginagawa nyong pag over think, maagang majjinx yung OTP natin, promise. less than three months palang, ganto na tayo, alalahanin po natin, mag sshot ja sila ng movie, plus endorsements, and i’m sure magkaka mallshow yang dalawang yan, di rin malabong magka concert din, and let’s not forget the teleserye. come on, mga brad. ang haba na nang narating natin, ngayon pa ba tayo magdududa lalo na’t mas aggressive na ang manok natin? seriously?
sorry kung medyo nawawala ako sa punto, medyo sleepy na kase. 😝 all i’m trying to say is give the poor boy a chance to grasp his feelings. wag natin sya pangunahan. please lang. and enjoyin nalang natin ang KS. ano pa’t pinapangaralan tayo ni lola na “ang lahat ay nasa tamang panahon” kung tayo rin mismo hindi makapag hintay, diba? ayun lang. aldub you all!
i thank God that M ended up being paired with A. not only is he God fearing, a gentleman, but rest assured, he will not take advantage of her in any circumstances and will protect her at all cost. back then, he firmly said to her in one of his FS, “ako bahala sayo kahit anong mangyari.” and i trust his words. you all should too.

I’ll put my faith in A, but I do appreciate the kuyas/lolas protectiveness over M, so that A or rather Richard knows he should toe the line.
And as I’ve mentioned somewhere in my previous comment here, I think yung naudlot nyang sasabihin sana kay lola today was to ask for another date with M. Sana. Sabi nga niya “TULOY ANG FOREVER!” Caps lock para intense just like how M writes her posts.
So, abangan na lang ang susunod na kabanata. 😊

i’ve seen your posts and i have to admit, that’s quite brave of you, defending A all the way. poor guy’s being judged by everyone because of things he can’t control. naaawa na ako dun sa bata. i mean, okay, people are entitled to have their own opinions pero the the extent of questioning one’s intentions by means of over thinking? that is so uncalled for. :c I have doubted A quite a few times, but last saturday answered all my questions. question marks were replaced by wild exclamation points. enough is enough. and it’s still too early for them to reach the stage of commitment. i believe that for now, both are at the phase where they mutually understand eachother.
ps. the episode today was so ASFFGHJKL! the titigans, the smiles, not to mention the taas ng kilay. ugh! these precious moments are the ones we should be focusing on, people!

I totally agree w/ you. they are all blaming Alden as if they really know what’s happening really between the two. please lang separate the reel show to the real score between them. Alden is a full bodied gentleman and I refused to accept he will go that low as what others here is implying. isip2 din kong may time. and as far as I know M doesn’t say she loves A na for real? so, I can’t see the used of misguided over protectiveness that others here feel. unang-una iba ang KS show sa usapan ng personal feelings. don’t confused yourself. that’s all!

just watched the episode today, i live in Dubai so i am just relying on FB’s video uploads… but i have read all the comments here before watching and as for me (kA lang ‘to) nothing is amiss with today’s episode, the usual funny and very entertaining… and super like ko yung voice ni M, i’ve actually stalked her already and heard her singing some songs but it feels so good watching hearing her own voice, just fantastic baby :)…
i am excited for tomorrow’s epi and your observations as well… i really enjoyed reading your opinions on the episodes…

The episode today is a sneak peek of what’s to come, focusing on Maine’s talents, her singing ability (nice vocals) and great delivery of “hugot lines” which she did so effectively. When we over analyze, we miss out on what it’s really trying to convey. They are giving us a glimpse of a superstar in the making and that’s all the episode is about, nothing too serious, no “patama” whatsoever.
