i will be crucified for saying this but let me start by saying that i love wally bayola and his character lola nidora–he is a huge part of the KS success. he may just be following directions but i think lola nidora is taking over too much airtime—time that should be focused on our A and M. the LoMmy bit? too forced, and frankly, kinda gross. there’s too much screaming from lola nidora and she’s REALLY TAKING OVER! it is tolerable during weekdays but on saturdays when people are excited about new devevelopments in our loveteam’s romance, i am honestly annoyed with her.
eat bulaga should probably start realizing that our A&M need time to talk. please give them a chance to talk. this torture of pulling alden out of the scene when they’re just starting to connect is at its simplest, psychological abuse. maine put it so eloquently when she tweeted ‘what just happened?’. you’re there na and then suddenly, you’re not.
so please, kahit on saturdays lang, give A&M a chance to connect longer than 5 minutes. people are getting frustrated with Alden because he is forced to follow a script that pulls back at the last minute. he owes too much to eat bulaga so i bet the boy is afraid to disobey. so please EB, be compassionate. these are real people with real feelings. give them more ‘together time’.
and lola nidora can be strict, but please make her not so annoying. sarap isako.

Yes, the Jimmy-Lola Nidora and even the Bill angle gives me the creeps. I hope they put that part to rest and develop other angles instead. I’m sure madami pa pwede gawin. Lola Nidora’s lessons are very integral to the entire KS concept and I hope they continue to impart old-school and sometimes forgotten values and lessons through her.
I am also for more spontaneous communication of A&M even on-air. I like that even if they were given konting “privacy” last Saturday but I hope that they will continue to get to know each other coth on-cam and off-cam.
I think that the switch will help them develop their skills and strengthen weaknesses. A needs to build more confidence and witty Improv while M has to learn to host & perform for a bigger crowd. This new “training phase” should hopefully lead to more surprises for us. Who knows, mag evelove ang KS to bigger things and portions. This is much-needed growth for everyone. Change is always good.
As for the 3rd party, I am not too “hot” about it. Mas favorable if everyone helps them develop their friendship instead. Where it all leads after is up to them.

I am in agreement with everyone here who says that KS doesn’t need to have a third party in the story since it will become the typical teleserye cliche already. And we don’t want that. I think one of the reason why KS is so successful is because it deviates from the normal serye. It is so refreshing to have a series without those kontrabidas whose only mission is to break the couple. Lola ni Dora is not that, in fact, she has the biggest role in this serye where she imparts Filipino values that most of the youngsters (sad to say) today did not practice. It is refreshing that this serye only brings good vibes. That’s one of the reason why I don’t normally watch teleserye, ang stressful na nga ng work ko (being in the corporate world) tapos pati ba naman yung time ko to relax mastress pa rin ako with all those dramas?! Come on! This KS has been my happy pill for quite sometime now.

I agree with most of you here. Assuming their friendship may not be even deep enough yet, baka magulo Lang lalo. Plus, there are many love triangles (not to mention kabit seryes and movies) even in Kpop soap dramas. Nakakaumay at kakastress na din after sometime. Madrama na nga paminsan ang buhay. I think part of the magic of this Kalyeserye is keeping it simple, true and pure… That’s why it is refreshing. Similarly, this loveteam’s chemistry is just like first love–and praying and hoping last love na din nila ang isa’t isa at may forever silang 2 nga 🙂

So a lot of people have been talking about the Nicholas Sparks’ movie “A Walk to Remember” in which soundtrack includes the songs Maine sang in KS, “Someday We’ll Know” and “Cry”. Out of curiosity, I watched the movie this afternoon. And ugh, BIG mistake. It’s bad enough that I’m hooked on this loveteam, now I’m crying over a Nicholas Sparks movie. What is my life coming to.

Love the book and cried like when I read The Notebook… Somehow I found the movie a bit cheesy (maybe it’s Mandy Moore effect?) but it’s like any other feel good click flick. Though the OST for this movie is great. the songs are my favorite. 🙂

I prefer reading NS books than watching the movie adaptations. Should I dare recommend you to read ” Message in a Bottle” or “The Guardian” for some more “huhubels”? Although for an A & M movie, I would prefer a lighter movie like “Serendipity” to star in. Yes, I said huhubels and you wonder what your life is coming to 😉

Ako, ang gusto kong iremake nila yung My Love From The Stars! The pics in Alden’s soon to be released album are giving me Do-Min-Joon feels. Me thinks, Maine can also handle comedy and drama, though romcom is really her forte. But their chemistry is really wow! I believe they will have a great working relationship, supporting and encouraging one another, that may lead to a personal relationship. 😀

I read almost all of NS books but not all the movie adaptation. Kakabasa ko ng books niya, alam ko na yung style but I still read em. Masokista!
A walk to remember movie is one of my all-time faves talaga. I was in HS when I watched it and I keep rewatching it until now. Ganun pa rin yung effect. Kalurks. Nawiwindang din ako sa mga songs sa movie..That someday we’ll know scene. Baha ng luha.
Kaya nga now, biglang naaattach ito sa AlDub, sabi ko na lang sa sarili ko “I’m doomed!” Andami na kasing bagay na parang nagkiclick kaya mas lalong ang higpit na ng kapit ng mga tao sa AlDub. Lalo na siguro kapag nabasa nyo mga blog posts ni Maine tapos every time may big event is may nagkiclick na something. Jusko windang.

I am not sir Vilo but I will give you an unsolicited reply. The answer is a big fat yes. He can’t touch her so it’s his way of reigning in his “gigil”. If there’s anything we learned about A in the few times that the two are in close proximity, it’s that he reverts back to being a starry eyed 13 yo boy in her presence. He might not be flashy and swashbuckling in his approach but there is something so pure and innocent in his adoration of M. The loud and magara romantic declarations are well and good, but nothing beats sincerity anyday. I don’t know if I am showing my age but in A I see an old soul. His “moves” are so subtle that it takes replays and a whole SOCO team to detect it. Once you see it though, it is endearing and heartwarming. He does it for M to feel it, and not for an audience to see it. That’s why I like this kid. He plays for keeps.

100% agree. Love is in the detail, sabi nga nila. (Just an expression. Too early for love, I know) Itong mga subtle gestures na ‘to ‘yung mga bagay na nakakatakas kahit na he’s already restraining himself. And ito rin ‘yung mga bagay na he might not even be aware he’s doing na pala. Like ‘yung pag-abot niya ng dalawa niyang kamay nung nag-dudubsmash siya like he’s asking for her hand and ‘yung mga paghawak niya sa fingers ni M sa phone at sa buko and ‘yung mga tingin niya kay M in between ng glances niya sa ibang Dabarkads and sa audience nung Saturday na very brief pero very intense. Grabe.
Pero ang first place talaga sa puso ko ay hindi nangyari nung Saturday e. Hindi ko alam kung anong day pero it was the “on-screen kiss” kay M while she was looking down and writing something. It was so tender!! A was clutching his chest pa! Utang na loob ‘yung kilig ko dun!!!
For me, these types of gestures na subtle talaga ang mga mas meaningful kaysa sa mga grand ones. Keep it up A! Haha.

Yes this makes A very endearing to me too… He wants to show himself and his feelings to M first and let the whole world be bystanders muna na parang we all fade in the background and bahala na if we see it… So I go thru all the replays just to catch those subtle actions again like a glimpse of a change in his expression… Haha… Though I think he is now also trying to strike a balance and share it to the fans/whole world (e.g., him being more vocal and indirectly admitting yesterday in SPS that he is still on cloud 9 sa kilig)…
It would be interesting to see A’s and M’s love languages (as per Gary Chapman’s book)… I think for A it’s possible to be quality time (hence the undivided attention he gives her… Super focus ang titig and Vic had to call his name several times last Saturday!) and acts of service (actions speak louder than words)…? Perhaps M’s is words of affirmation and acts of service too (i.e., assuming she did bake the cupcakes for him)…? 🙂
Haha… Ano ba yan… Never been like this and never thought that i’d be like before on a love team for the past 34 years of my existence… Anyway, I think I will continue praying and rooting for them for quite sometime until they get their own “happily ever after” (whatever that may mean and/or entail!) 🙂

You’ll notice in the “Akyat Bahay” episode that he was fidgeting a lot around M. He was touching his ear, rubbing his hands together, hugging his knees, flailing his arms, etc. He probably noticed that too and putting his hands in his pockets might be his way of containing his excitement.

Hello! I have always been a lurker since the ” I Saw What You Did There…” blogpost and have been enjoying reading especially the comments turned forum section. And since KS is in its “Book/Season 2” (my POV), I can’ t help but share my thoughts regarding the episode last Saturday. My impression that it was M’s official launching as EB Dabarkads and artist of TAPE (tama ba?not sure), na-incorporate na lang yung hospitality/accomodating values ng mga Filipinos sa storyline ng KS, Lola’s lesson, and of course A&M’s kilig moments.
Obviously A&M are already comfortable w/ each other (in a more than an acquaintance kind) kaya toned down na yung kilig ‘di na exaggerated. I am hoping that EB will let their characters’ story in KS deal with relationship problems (i.e. priorities over her loved one coz she’ll be honing her skills sa Broadway). I think they are past the first phase of courtship na naman, so it would be nice to see kung mga ganun klaseng obstacles ang haharapin nila.For the meantime, I will just wait and see for what has EB &KS has in store for us. 😀

The interview was done in Cebu last Friday while Alden was there for a show. It happened before he and Maine exchanged numbers on Saturday. The article was published on Sunday.

Interviews are taped days or even weeks ahead. This blog exist for the purpose of those who like to over-analyze (Vilo started it with his piece “I know what you did there…”) We are the pranings on the comment sections who refuse to take interviews at face value (because things can change), but instead we study every single out-of-character movements, behaviors, and micros expressions, for no other reason other than to feed our Good Vibes!!
Advance Happy Merry Christmas to one and all!! I’m sure by Christmas time, there will be pictures of them together hanging out and having a great time…. I can’t wait. I can’t believe I’m so happy for 2 people I don’t even know!! Aahhhhhhh!!

I noticed na medyo bumalik yung pagiging assertive ni M sa episode ngayon. Diba, for the past few weeks since their 2nd monthsary ay medyo parang nag-retreat siya at nabawasan ang pagiging assertive sa fan signs? Pati sa twitter, nag-post na rin siya ulit ng message na most people would assume na para kay A.
I like to think na it’s because bumalik yung confidence niya, which I am wishing is related to already having a means of communication with A outside kalyeserye. Umaasa ako na nagpalitan talaga sila ng number during the Saturday episode at na totoo yung mga hinala ng mga Aldub SOCO fans na nagsabi talaga sila ng “text – text” or “text mo ko” sa isa’t isa habang sumasayaw nung Saturday.
Baka naman masaya at confident si M today dahil may dahilan para maging masaya. 🙂
Sobrang natuwa ako nung nakita kong ginagamit niya yung hoverboard ni A, Naisip namin agad na siyempre, siguradong nag-paalam yun na hihiramin niya. Kinikilig na ako sa pag-iisip na either tinext or tinawagan niya si A para hiramin yun. So medyo nadisappoint ako ng nakita kong sinulat pala niya sa wall yung pagpapaalam niyang hihiramin niya ang hoverboard. Pero who knows, pwede namang sinulat niya sa wall at tinext din niya, diba? 🙂
Although hindi na kasing-exciting ang KS ngayon like before, nakakatuwa pa rin. Lalo na pag iisipin na possibly nagiging magkaibigan na sila A at M.

i watched the hoverboard video and for me, case closed na ang MaineChard issue ko. nung una overthinker ako then naging kalma. few days ago, lumabas yung palitan ng ‘contact number’ and ‘boyfriend’ video and i was 50/50 on those.
but with the hoverboard vid, i think they are starting to build a relationship – it may just be a friendship or maybe more. we don’t know at silang dalawa lang ang makaka-alam nyan. more blessings for them though! 🙂
allan k mentioned na malapit na ang tamang panahon, sana next week na since i will stop utilizing my time imagining of what’s going to happen on ks next day. i always know that it’s either it falls short or exceed my expectations and it has always been the saturdays epi that i always love.
i think this will be my last time to visit vilo’s A & M’s entries since i have now found an answer to my ‘is it real or reel’ question.
i can conclude that A & M are now friends and it is up to them on how they will continue their wonderful journey.

Watched today’s ep and I think that A will pick up a lot from Jowapao. He needs work on his Improv to make him more versatile. I think that he was uncomfortable being out on the streets today. He will adapt in time. However, I fear for their own safety — A, Jowapao, the staff and even the ka-barangays. I was watching how the people were closing in on them and was actually praying that they could all get out of the place in one piece. During the latter part, I think all 4 of theme were really feeling the heat, the smell and the crowd. parang namumutla na nga si A at one point.
On the other hand, I think that A experienced what M has been experiencing since July. Seeing the slightly uncomfortable A, I couldn’t help but appreciate M even more. Trouper talaga!
EB will soon face a big dilemma on how to protect their stars and the segment at the same time. Will keeping them safe in the studio affect the segment, the interest and the ratings? Could they find a way to have all? Is it time to evolve and think of new ways to keep the interest going whether by continuing the KS as is or in a different format?
Because I am praning by nature, my head says: “safety for all, before kilig”. If they have to continue with A or M in the streets, maybe they can think of ways to keep them safer. Ako ang ninenerbyos for them.

Being a mom, the instincts for everyone’s safety kicked in… The mob was getting unruly and a stampede is the last thing they need… I don’t know maybe if they do an advanced ocular in the baranggay site first and try to scout for a place to stay in a secured area with different of exit options…? Then papuntahin nalang sa kanila yung lucky winner instead of an actual “sugod-bahay” for now that they are all hot
And highly demanded by the people…? I’ve seen them do something like this before if the cameras cannot reach the winner’s house anymore:)

Yes, @HersheyMM, I was thinking of just having the winner go to them instead for security purposes. The last thing they need is a stampede or their hosts getting hurt everyday. I was actually scared for all of them kanina.
A also looked tired and a bit sick today. I hope that his management gives this boy some time off to rest. it seems that he has been working 24/7 for weeks now. He needs to take a few days off to rest and recuperate. Kawawa naman yung bata.

Kumbaga habang nandiyan ang mga raket, itake advantage mo PERO… isang malaking PERO, kung medyo maaabuso mo yung katawan mo, baka magtraydor bigla yang katawan mo (wag naman po sana waaahhh. Of all the segments in EB KS is the only one na mag-isa ni Maine na babae. Lahat sila lalaki. It would be not be ‘chivalrous’ to bring back Maine in the streets and coddle Alden in the studio. EB should come up with a way to protect their formidable LT. And why would they keep cutting Maine’s dubsmash samantalang kay Alden buo? It comes to me as oppressive.

Agree with this. I think they should both be in broadway na. Ang hirap din ng ginagawa ni M. The heat, the people na nagkakagulo. Used to be ok when M was still relatively unknown. They can freely move around kasi di naman sila pinagkakaguluhan. But with M’s rising popularity, they should think of ways to protect her also. Wag na syang isabak again sa kalye! Also, how come di rin si M naghost or anything? I thought she was going to co-host a segment of the show so she can at least learn the ropes of being inside the studio. Also sana they had someone update her look para pwede din makisabayan sa ibang hosts sa studio. Di bagay si A sa kalye! Hahaha! He looked so uncomfortable. 😆

I was also disappointed that they did not give M a chance to do some hosting. I thought that she would host ATM with the BAEs along with SamYG. It would have been hilarious with SamYG doing the “laglagan” thing. I wonder how M would handle it.
I can feel A’s discomfort in today’s episode. I just hope he would soon adjust to his new environment. Thus guy really needs to take a rest.

I guess both A & M need some time to adjust to their new environments. For their first day, I think they did pretty ok. Maybe no hosting spiel yet today for M as she is supposed to observe first just like before she was launched as yaya dub on one Saturday in July. I think they both need to build rapports with their new co-hosts first to do their spiels smoothly. A didn’t want to appear mean to the winner of the sugod bahay that he was trying so hard to listen carefully to what she is saying… Pero di pa rin nya na gets kung ano sinasabi nung winner. Haha… But he was trying his best to go with flow like how Jose/Tinidora coached him on comic timing for one question (something about the asawa to the sugod bahay winner ni Ate). These 2 has lots of room to grow 🙂
Malay natin, A might volunteer to stay with JoWaPao because he doesn’t want M to be on the streets (worrying about her safety with the mob) and this will also pass Lola’s test of making him feel how it is to be on the streets 🙂

Thanks in advance… Naalala ko tuloy yung comment ko dati na if ever M has interview earlier sasabihin naman nya naman na crush nya nga si A at may chance pa si A if ever na manligaw sya kay M parang nagkatotoo yata hehehe…ang tamang panahon talaga oh ano ba talaga ang meaning nito, sa tao ba nakasalay ang tamang panahon o sa panahon hehe ang gulo.

They’re 2 different people and hindi naman every second in sync sila. Nabasa ko sa twitter may 31 second gap yung posts nila and nauna si Alden magpost. I don’t think this means anything negative. Alden posted about his new situation as 4th Rogelio…Maine tweeted that Alden better be careful out there in the streets dahil napakagulo na talaga ng mga baranggay lalo na ngayon si Alden ang nasa labas.
I think Alden has become more private, if that is even possible. It’s very likely the two are texting now so hindi na sa twitter dinadaan ni Alden yung messages nya for Maine. Notice that this weekend tahimik sila pareho? Nilaglag ni Alden sarili nya sa PINASaya pero Maine didn’t say a thing. They didn’t address meeting each other last Saturday like they did when they had their 1st date, either. Whatever is going on behind the scenes, they’re keeping it between them.
From Maine’s display of assertiveness when it comes to Alden, I think si Maine ang mas demonstrative. Hindi ba nagtweet yung friend ni Alden na Maine messaged him to ask if Alden was ok when he got hurt during one of his mall shows? Maine has high EQ, naiyak nga nung one time sa Sugod Bahay di ba? It’s normal for her to worry about people.

Momo Ryoma, I have yet to read your blog, but think it is a good one and shall indulge some time when I get back home.
I totally agree with you though, long back, maybe few weeks back, of getting my old routine back on track – not spending late nights stalking all possible blogs and write ups about A and M, waking up earlier than usual on our off days just to watch the live streaming of KS, going through almost all “friends and relatives of M, just to be sure that I am learning more about her through their thoughts and posts. Yes, the does good in a lot of ways, more than what I have really expected in a noontime show, but if the “addiction” as I call it, prevents you to having a normal life – I tend to stay home instead of going out for coffees and malls, there should be an end to it. I am not saying that this is the same effect to everybody – maybe it is just me, a usually controlled individual but has been changed and drawn inevitably to this show. I have tried to detach myself few weeks back – but hey, I am here typing my minutes away just to share my thoughts.
I maybe agreeing to you now – I will try to move forward and go back to my old routine – but I might fall into my own prey – and still be hooked and comment my heart away here.
Let’s see…. it is never too late til it’s too late. 😉

As for the “addiction” part, yes, it had prevent me from having a normal life and that realization kicks in like a bullet being shot in front of me, sa may sintido kaagad yung tama. Like now, hindi ko pa pinapanood yung replay kasi based sa nakikita kong mga posts of my friends in FB and Twitter (hindi ko sinasadyang madaanan at mahagip), I have a full understanding on what had happened. Pero, I still tweet the OHT so that at least on that note, I still show my support and gratitude to them for bringing happiness and good vibes to everyone. 🙂

It’s not detaching totally. It’s like curing myself from what I have done to myself during the course of my addiction to them. I became less productive and less sociable. I’m not that person anymore when I dig deep in becoming an avid (and almost over-analyzer/over-thinker) fan of ALDUB. It’s not their fault. It’s my choice that time. It was just last Saturday that I felt that it’s time to let go of my addiction to them. I’m happy that I was able to experience a very unique kind of happiness while they are still in the stage of Yaya Duba and Alden. 🙂
Please don’t be sad. I don’t have any intention to spread sadness here 😦

Don’t detach yourself but try to give it a rest. Recharge and whenever you’re ready, grab the remote, sit back, relax and enjoy. It is just like consuming too much chocolates. I always tell myself, I won’t eat anymore but then after a day or two, I find myself indulging again. I felt the same way last Saturday. I had to stay up late or rather early morning to catch EB on TV. I felt so drained and said “I’m done!” but when I watched it the second time on Saturday afternoon, I saw everything in a different light. It reminded me of my happy childhood in the Philippines, the love and respect we have for our elders and the values they have instilled in us. In a world where wrong can be right and right can be wrong, We can easily get lost, confused and fall into the temptation of conforming in order to belong BUT because of our heritage, our fear and love of GOD and the seeds of wisdom planted in our souls, we find a way out, we find answers. ALDUB/Kalye Serye validates this for me and this makes me proud to be a Filipino. Surviving the urban jungle makes it easy for me because I was raised the Filipino way. Once again, I am only speaking for myself but I hope that I have enlightened you in some way. Love and Light to all!

I would say that I haven’t detached myself to KS and ALDUB. It’s more of slowing things down when it comes to them because I became an addict and almost lead my life to misery (okay exaggerated na ito pero close to it) . I was lost into the magical dream that I created my own. I just came up in the end that what I’m doing is not healthy anymore. My choice of following the series, most especially the characters is not healthy anymore. Yun yung pinili kong choice na akala ko magiging okay lang kasi umagree naman sa akin ang BF ko and yet inabuso ko yung pagbibigay niya ng freedom sa akin.
I will still be part of Twitter party and support team for ALDUB and KS but, I will never let myself drown again sa mga emotions ko. Sabi nga ng BF ko, may forever naman na ako, bakit pa ako naghahanap ng forever sa ibang tao? (Hard pero totoo naman po.)

I understand you my dear and thanks for sharing. You know this ALDUB things gives us also a chance to reflect on life and the things that we hold dear. When we deeply ponder on things, we get a chance to make intelligent choices. In my case, when I go down hill, I pray. It is difficult but I try my best to walk by faith and not by sight. You are very lucky to have a boyfriend who believes in forever. I’m proud of you that you are doing your part to make your forever with your boyfriend work. I’ve tried that. sabi ko sa sarili ko, I will go back to my old routine, If I want to watch KS sa TV na lang wala ng replay sa gabi. Tell you what- it lasted for just a day. And here I am reading all the posts and blogs that I missed.

I was wondering why her dubsmash were cut too short, while Alden’s were fine. The first few times were ok to incite her facial expression but not to the point where it already appears rude or offensive to Maine. Are there two different people handling the music? If so, they need to have a meeting, they do not jive. Maybe new songs too for Maine. The you’re my pretty, pretty boy bit has run its course. Maine is too confident of a woman. She is also evolving. As fas as the hosting, I was also expecting more from her today. But I figured they are probably taking baby steps and will give her more as the week progresses. It’s all about what she can handle for now, being new in the business. I think she proved on Monday that she can move up to the next level.
I have to give mad props to the writers though. I did not expect the switch, much less Alden dressed as one of the Rogelios. I had hesitations on Saturday as it didn’t make sense to me why they seemed urong-sulong with the progression of A & M’s development. They already had akyat-ligaw, first date, meeting at Broadway. It seems anti-climactic to have them separate again. But how it was explained by Lola N that Alden was there to experience being in Yaya’s shoes, I get it now. In my opinion though, the lesson was imparted and learned. But for the safety of all concerned, go back to Broadway, Alden. It is so much easier to be protected within the walls of a studio, or a mall. But not out in the field where it is open season. The writers must come up with something creative to have both A & M in the studio, or for A & M not go to Sugod Bahay and still maintain that kilig factor.

I agree, the recycled playlist is played out. Would be nice to have some new songs added to the mix. And yeah, Maine looked slightly miffed that her songs kept getting truncated. But overall, a good segment. Love the switch! I’ve always been impressed with how well M carries herself on stage. Her ability to hold everyone’s attention is extraordinary (and she’s not even talking yet!). I’ve always said that there is something about her, I just can’t quite put my finger on it…

I agree with you. Thru the whole segment I enjoyed their split screen halikan where she’s poking Alden’s nose and she made it appear that Alde lulled her ear. When Alden became persistent in kissing her tinodohan na niya ng hampas at suntok. Classic comedic act pero nadala nila. I do not know why people keep insisting that KS is kababawan. I am hooked with it because it portrays subtleties in Filipino humor that every Juan can relate to. And the lines kahit kakaunti very witty and so apt sa sitwasyon. Iyong iba kasi they state the obvious parang the audience will not get it kaya insult to intelligence ang labas- OA.

I know right? I can’t stand how adorable they are sometimes. And now there’s a cute little minion girl in it too! Yaya Luvz! Cuteness overload! But back to A and M, I love how their exchanges and interactions come so naturally for them. And their chemistry, ugh. It’s so undeniable, so rooted in raw emotions. And the writers take all of that flirty playfulness and deliver it in a wholesome package. Some people may call it “kababawan”. To each his own. The main purpose of KS is to entertain. If I wanted something thought-provoking, I’d watch CNN.

I agree with you, I was never a fan of any LT’s since I was 16, and that was 3 1/2 decades ago, I am sooo hooked with these two kids I feel as though I time travel way back 3 decades ago..it feels good..and one more thing..people notices changes in me..I work in the medical field all my life, in these field of work the word empathy is overwhelming..sometimes engulfs you..people come and go..literally..sees and shares experiences of a new life..cries and grieves for those that has gone..sacrifices small personal gratifications ( to name a few..loileting..sips of water) just to attend/ extend a life..”sigh” But it’s soo gratifying…as well as routine..became anxious..tensed..moody..and felt helpless and exhausted..Until I got Hooked..even my husband..is jealous of this small pleasures…Now I go to work with a light and happy face.. with a new perspective..THEY..became my Happy pill..After a 12-13-14 or so hour shift I always look forward to view,read and find out what these two lovely kids has done for the day..So that’s it..it changed my life..it changed my perspective towards my so called routine boring work..now I don’t see stress as a stress but a challenge..I even sing during a stressfull situation..imagine..I have’nt done that for sooo long until now..this is the AlDub/Maiden effect on me…INSPIRATION..and I will continue to keep this feelings until I see shades of FOREVER…Keep The Faith M and A…you are such Lovely individuals..I just wish and pray for the both of you..God Speed….. She is and will always be truthful. Walang tinatago. So i dont think she would take it against us if we speculate about her and Miggy. I would probably think na she will find it amusing pa nga. Realistically, I think the initial attraction is there, but I don’t they’re at the point where they can say there’s something deeper. Because as A always says, “di pa kilala, mahal na”
Knowing A’s personality, I believe he really wants to get to know M as a person. Syempre coming from different backgrounds, baka naman hindi rin sila jive in real life.
IF they don’t becomes off screen partners, I’m sure they’ll still be very good friends because their chemistry is undeniable. 😀👍👏🏻

No,,dont get me wrong. Everything we are seeing sa KS are Raw and authentic emotions esp. The AkyatLigaw episode ung chemistry and attraction is evident. But i have a hunch na they will probably end up as very good friends in real life. Maybe when all the hulabaloo settles down, tsaka na lang sila mag-proceed to more than friendship.Based yang observation from stalking Alden’s previous LTs. Hindi talaga sya nagma-make ng move. Trabaho lang. But, sabi ko nga,let’s wait and see. Let’s enjoy the show na lang 🙂
And also I think EB is dragging this Splitscreen/ dubsmash/FS thing for too long. The songs are rehashed and medyo nauubusan na ng isusulat yung 2 lovebirds. Alden recycled his “kumain ka na ba” FS for about 4 times already. I also noticed na on a downward trend na ang tweets, pati na rin ang video views and likes sa EB facebook page. Hmmm.. i think they need to hurry up the tamang panahon. If they drag this same dubsmash/fansign until december. They will lose steam.

Agree on this. I think they should start letting them spend time together na. Stop the split screens and put A & M together na sa broadway. I’m sure nagsasawa narin ung mga viewers sa ganung set up. Dapat break muna ang kalye serye & come up with a new program segment for the JOWAPAOS.

I realized that I tend to stay home and watch (and re-watch) KS or stalk A and M’s social media accounts rather than go out for coffee with friends. Panu na ang lovelife? 🙂 I cannot live my life through their splitscreen romance (no matter how cute Alden is). Hindi ako mabubuhay ng dimples lang ..( haha, pero pede rin). Anyway, just my thoughts po. But here I am typing away….

It’s just sad that M’s career is on the sidelines while namamyagpag kay A. But then it came to my mind that there are a lot of proposal from fans for a sitcom that Mr. Tuvjera retweeted meaning businesswise it is beneficial for them to just produce one kasi audience na naghahanap. Also with SPS Mr. Tuviera tweeted M if she could be a surprise guest in A’s segment sa SPS to which M said sa tamang panahon. I am thinking it could be M is refusing projects offered to her because as per her co-workers interview she is just doing it for fun. Her motivation might be different kasi hindi naman niya kailangan unlike other actors and actresses showbiz is their bread and butter. Perhaps she is conscious about life-work balance. Nevertheless I hope they will let her evolve in EB with hosting or dialogue in KS. Hindi naman siguro dyslexic ang batang ito marunong naman siguro magbasa ng prompter. At the rate she is going naungusan na siya ni Baste in hosting and singing.

I like your insight about M being aware of work-life balance. I think her attending the Lifehouse concert in disguise is proof of this.
But I disagree with you on her honing her skills in hosting at EB. If she is relegated to the studio, that would mean she has to give up her gig with JoWaPao. For someone who just ENJOYS/RELISHES making people laugh (which is what makes her really effective), I can imagine how much of a hoot it is to work with these comedy geniuses. And it isn’t just about performing with them, I think it is the exchange of ideas and being part of the creative process that is what she thrives on. If that is her passion, then that is what she should pursue (not what others think would be great for her career).
She can probably try hosting during out-of-town gigs with JoWaPao (which they did once) and some other shows but doing the EB studio hosting is probably not the venue for that. I realized this when I saw a video uploaded by a studio audience during that switch epi where she was shown laughing while watching the opening gap of the KS (where Tidora was giving her excuse as to why she wasn’t present during the TVJ meeting) and also when she was watching A bring out an electric fan. She really enjoys what she gets to do with them. And as a fan who she is able to entertain on a daily basis, I hope she gets the freedom to do what she enjoys doing too.
As for her singing, it is really up to her if she is up to the task. Even if we know her album is likely to sell if she ever puts one out, it requires mall shows, promo tours and the ghastly showbiz interviews that can get out of hand and be really exhausting. Just the daily grind of the Kalyeserye is taxing enough as it is.
I’d rather see her do a weekly sitcom after they wrap for their MMFF movie on top of her KS gig. That’s probably more realistic and manageable. Or maybe TV guestings for a one-episode romcom for MMK or Magpakailanman.
I even hope she doesn’t sign an exclusive contract with any of the networks. She’s in an influential position to be a pioneer in getting the networks to ease their restrictions on appearances by talents of competing networks (much like in the US). Though it’s highly unlikely to happen, it would be really cool if she is able to do work with different actors regardless of network affiliations. (This coming from someone who is averse to network wars or show battles.)

if you see A worked 7 days week plus travel wow i cannot do that, I salute A for that hard work and i knew he enjoying it. unlike M there’s life and work balance she enjoy and know how to live and enjoy life to the fullest. I know time and age don’t go back.

Yes, you really can’t turn back the time and age talaga. Pero magkaiba din kasi yung reason nila kung bakit sila pumasok ng showbiz habang yung isa nababalance nya at yung isa di masyado pero kapag nagkakatime eh talagang inienjoy. Saka showbiz yan eh sabi nga nila grab mo lang kasi di naman yan pang matagalan.

Just a thougt..i read A said ” CHIVALRY IS NOT DEAD”..how come he did not even step up and volunteer to just stay in the baranggay instead of Maine..i just felt na kawawa si Maine kanina whe she asked “Lola ,saan na po ako”? Kahit man lang sana scripted na sabihin ni A na sya na lang instead of M para di mahirapan si M…i know the staff will make a way naman to make sure the safety for both of them..you know, like take them away from the street and change the location or something..sana kahit a a friend or co -actor, naisip ni A yung risk ni M…kahit sa script man lang o sa reality..

I think that was part of the script. Kaya ginawa yung jack n poy with Lola and Maine. I feel sad for Maine.. biruin mo, this is what she puts up with everyday for 3 months – ung crowd,siksikan, mainit, mabaho at madumi. I think she has kalmot marks or kurot marks too pero di lang nare-report sa news. She is really a trooper. Nakakatuwa si Meng. Though di masyado exposure nya sa EB kahapon. Halatang naninibago sya. I was hoping she will be introduced just like Alden during their ATM segment. She will come out of the stage door dancing to Fantastic baby with the Baes. It would have been more fun. And her dubsmashes were all cut short.

I just thought, hindi lahat scripted parang they are just given an outline. (Im not sure though)…i.just felt bad..i guess i expected too much..but no offense to A, hindi naman nya obligation to be knight to maine..hindi nya siguro naisip yun..he was just doing his job and follow the script. .i was just thinking na kahit man lang as a friend, he will step up for maine..however, originally namn talaga is for Maine to do her dubsmash sa kalye, but given her big contribution sa success ng loveteam and the show itself, sana mabigyan rin sya ng enough credit..also the emotions na pinapakita nya is too real..sana sa bandnag huli, its not just one way or if not ma reciprocate, at least they become good friends..

One more thing, very limited kasi yung exposure ni Maine, she is not given the same opportunities as with alden..she has to stick with her “no talking” character kahit outside of Kalyeserye..di sya nakakapag mall shows, interviews, etc..given na other half sya ng successful na team..

True,anna. Kaya nga may apprehensions ako when they switched places. I think EB did it para ma-benefit si Alden more than Maine. But ganun talaga… as an audience, we are at the mercy of the Script Lords. So go with flow na lang tayo.. honestly, at this point the only reason i watch KS is i find Alden super gwapo and Maine super cute (I seriously want to see her succeed). Plus the endless laughter that JoWaPao brings. Solve na ako! But still, im not too sure they will end up as a couple. When something is too good to be true, it probably isn’t.I know I’m a certified stalker and based on my research, I think there’s something about Alden’s stylist na I think is kinda … you know. She is always with A kahit saan (out of town trips, EB, TV guestings). Of course, stylist nya e. But…well… hay naku, daig ko pa ang CSI nito. Sir Vilo – sorry po. I just dont knowwhere to divulge my findings without being judged harshly. I understand naman po na hind po The Buzz ang blog nyo. So please feel free to delete 🙂

i was expecting alden to say sya nalang pra safe si maine sa studio..or something. anyway i saw lolanidora pasimple na nag scissor sign ng kanyang kamay sa last na bato bato pick nila ni yaya. True enough nag scissor nga si lola kaso di napickup ni maine. sayang. that was the way out.

I think pinag-rest nila si Alden. So i think sa thursday pa sya mkkpunta in time for the Weeksary (plus ang sabi ay thursday din ang shooting nila together ni Maine sa Bebe Luv). Then friday until sunday, wala sya ulit. He has a gig sa Japan on sunday 3pm. So will probably see him on Monday na. Sobrang daming commitments ni Bae. Dami mall tours sa Manila plus Zamboanga and CamSur next week. Kaya siguro they are preparing the audience for Alden’s absence sa EB/KS.

@marianna: Rest day? Pahinga? Itt does not exist in GMA’s network dictionary. Alden is in Naga for a show with Kris Bernal. She posted a pic with Alden this morning in her IG, na excite siguro to meet Alden. Kawawa namang bata, one of these days, he will just collapse due to fatigue. I’d like to think though that he texted Maine to let her know MIA sya today sa EB.

I was thinking the same thing. And then when I watched the ep today Maine is in the street again and he went to Naga for a show with that girl Kris B. My enthusiasm about Aldub went pffft when I read a fan’s comment about that girl’s IG account na nagu-guwapohan daw ng personal with A. And I was like when he was unknown di ka ba naguwa-guwapohan ng personal? The fan has a point that GMA is milking the Aldub phenomenon for all its worth but how come A seems to be the only one benefitting from it and they do not even sign up Maine as a GMA artist/ recording artist considering that when she joined EB Aldub phenomenon not only helped in EB’s rating but for the whole network as well. The fan also pointed out that A is not doing that much to protect the LT’s image as opposed to M. I am starting to feel sorry for M again. This could also be the reason why artists discovered by GMA eventually move to ABS CBN because they do not know how to sustain them. I hope that with M’s earnings she’ll put up businesses through her family’s help. I hope show business will not break this girl’s spirit because with Aldub I give credit to A’s work ethic but I am drawn to M’s warmth and charm. No matter how good an act is executed if walang puso it will turn out cold that is why in their wildcard performance A’s performance is strong, smooth and professional level but it did not sustain my interest. Fast forward ako with the feeling seen that before, nothing new. But with M’s second part of performance I loved it because it was all heart and fun. Parang dance like nobody’s watching ang peg niya. Of course I can be wrong. That is why I visit Vilo’s platform to let off steam and somehow some of the readers’ insight gives me a different perspective about KS and Maine. Huwag magalit mga fans ni A as I said he has good work ethic but I enjoy Maine’s act more.

Its ok Cate. Ito ang kagandahan sa forum na ito (thanks to sir vilo, of course). No name calling, walang judgment. Just plain old, overthinkers like me 🙂 every one’s POV is welcome. Just a piece of advice though, Alden is a good-looking (ay mali, extremely good looking pala) and very popular.. so a LOT of showbiz girls will swoon over him. I think kris bernal is the first of many. I also think that Aicelle Santos (with him on his Japan trip) will post pics of them together as well. So we must brace ourselves for the inevitable… those two kids are young and as long as they are tied to their dubsmashing characters and the “magic” they need to sustain, mukhang Alden will play his cards well. He is a 23 year old young man at napapaligiran ng naggagandahang babae. Im not saying, he may fall for another girl but let’s give him the space he needs. If Tadhana is really true, he will find his way back kay Maine.

I think something is already in store for M, but hopefully whoever is in charge of her should do things fast. If there is one thing we should have as fans, that would be patience and I’m sure M has this. I’m a hardcore M fan, but I’m not seeing anything wrong in the part of A. The boy is just working. Consistent naman pinapakita nya for the loveteam eh.

I agree. We have to understand that though they are both in Eat Bulaga, they are managed differently. We also don’t know when the commitments were made. I’m pretty sure on the business side of things, GMA would want to have Maine join Alden in mall shows but I think TAPE has plans for her. Parang paunti-unti ang pagshowcase sa talents niya. Di rin siya pwede tumodo hanggat may KS at di pa siya nagsasalita. Di naman siguro siya magdubsmash o mag FS kapag fans day di ba?
Wait na lang tayo. Anyway on the Kris Bernal post, nothing wrong with it. She’s an Aldub fan. Regarding some fans who posted on twitter or IG na bakit di daw nagpaalam compared to the Cebu trip, Cebu was fans day, kahit sino pwede pumunta so open invitation and promotion on national tv, yung teachers’ day, targeted audience.
Maganda nga na nawawala-wala din si Alden to develop new story lines. Basta nararamdaman pa rin siya sa story, okay ako.

The episode today could have been executed better if they only have FS like “ Maine Naga lang ako ha”.
We all know that it is scripted so why not go all the way to make us all “kilig”. It seems that EB is not ready for today’s episode.
The “pahinga ka pag may time is useless because KB posted picture of her with A and the location is Naga. Just saying!!!

Honestly though I’m not very impressed with how EB handles the career of M. The pacing is too slow. Its been 3 months & all we can hear are a few lines or songs from M. If they really have plans of further developing her talents dapat bilisan na nila. I think they’re milking the KS for all its worth kaya until now dubsmashing parin si M. Realistically speaking, di naman magaling magpasikat ng tao ang channel 7. Compared with channel 2 na all out talaga if they want you to shine. I mean san ka nakakita ng LT na puro ung guy lang ang visible sa interviews etc. TVCs splitscreen, & guestings bawal magkasama. For me the split screen thing is getting old na. They need to come up with something new kahit wag na isama si M. I’m sure the JOWAPAOs could handle it with their skills in comedic relief. Sayang that it wasn’t channel 2 who approached M first. I’m sure she’ll be a bigger star now. Also I was very disappointed na binalik sa barangay si M. For me, she should not be there na. Sya ung girl na partner but parang mas alaga pa nila si A. Wala lang..#affectedmuch

I find it kinda weird that they posed a hanging scenario yesterday about who goes where only to throw a curve ball today. Naturally, the viewers spent the rest of the evening speculating and looking forward to where A&M would be today. A being in Naga came from nowhere, so i really understand if some felt dismayed, disappointed and even cheated. It was an unexpected curve ball, indeed. I think that they were not psychologically and emotionally prepared for A’s absence.
The very innocent IG post of Kris Bernal miffed a lot of fans for varied reasons — from selos, to inis for the spoiler, to inis of discovering that A won’t be in KS today.
Whatever it is, the staff of EB should learn some lessons here, to not leave viewers hanging only to end it with a curve ball. I guess it’s part of the unpredictability of the show but, I don’t think that those who are emotionally invested on the show, those who stayed up late to tweet etc were over the moon because of this.
I’m sure that there’s a big surprise somewhere in the coming days but maybe, some fans are becoming restless too knowing that they won’t be A in the coming days too, with his commitments out of town in the coming days.
I guess that this is the price for one’s addiction, it becomes very personal to some, forgetting that KS is a show and that people in it have real lives after the director shouts “Cut”.

Tricia, I somewhat agree with your point.
The unpredictable changes the show brings to its viewers both have pleasant and unpleasant reactions. The viewers have given meaning to all happenings – both in KS episodes as well as the tweets / posts from whoever outside of the ‘show’. Viewers tend to knot / weave events after events and conclude where / what happened / what will happen to M & A, either when they are present or not.
Yes, agree with you that EB writers should be seeing both the pros as well as cons of every move these two people make – either it be connected to KS episodes or not. The duo are just starting with their respective blossoming careers and it will be sent down the drain should the moves not be perfectly executed, just because of monetary reasons ie commitments etc.

Hello there, i agree with what you’ve said! Naaawa ako kay maine i felt that she’s very very much affected sa KS kahit na sabihin na hello actingan lang yun! Bat ba nila pinatatagal yung time na parang stagnant na si maine sa pag dudubsmash..Can’t they give her a makeover in KS removing her apron kahit na yaya pa rin sya, ang bagal naman ng TAPE to make a move, parang all the credits were given to alden! He can go everywhere leaving his ka loveteam…yesterday kahit na nagsasalita na si maine pero paunti unti pa rin! Alden is super gwapo and we have to admit the fact that maine is beautiful in her own way, but not the typical mestiza looking girl that could match aldens look although they look together, thats why i wanted also maine to evolve in her KS role…MAKEOVER have some stylist also suitable for kalye para kasing she was always deglamorized…and with regards to their real feelings..parang si maine lang naman ang nag eexerrt effort palagi…with all her tweets in Twitter alam naman natin para kay alden yung take good care of your self, parang walang balak ata lumigaw si alden. And it felt bad masakit huhuhu. Ive invested so much emotion in this LT, i wake early just to watch replays and news about them and stay late for the Replays! At some point my migraine attack na din because of too much babad sa ipad and fone together haha! Pag hindi makatolog because of kilig and adrenalin rush umiinom nalang ako ng sleeping aid! My husband would complain na palagi nalang akong aldub aldub…even my two teen ager boys would say nabuang na ako sa aldub! Because of the kilig and happiness that they gave,iba kasi feelings…thats why sana hindi si maine masasaktan if wlang forever kay alden, kawawa yung bata! And hey no matter how smart you are basta sa pag ibig na bobobo! Sorry for the word!

I also have the same observations Ms. Cate and @Baghag. A is really benefiting from all these. A is managed by GMA while M is managed by EB (a block timer of GMA). EB is not a GMA-produced show and M is not a talent of GMA (is she?). Look at what GMA is doing to A, frequent out-of-town gigs while M waits for the “tamang panahon” to get the exposure. GMA is busy promoting its talent A while EB has been sticking to its “tamang panahon” thing which I feel is losing steam. EB should move fast to sustain and for the magic to last.
M is multi-talented, EB should capitalize on it. I wonder if EB has a career map/plan for M. If there is one, how are they implementing it? Just asking. It’s high time for M’s star to shine its brightest.

A won’t be here the whole week I think. I saw some photos sa instagram account nya that says he has some out of town shows plus he’ll be in japan sa weekend. So we’ll see how KS plays out if he’s not there.

Same sentiments Cate. I was a bit disappointed with EB yesterday. I thought that they will give M a chance to do even just a tiny spiel on MCing but they didn’t. They already established that she could speak when Gasgasabel Gas mentioned it on last Friday’s KS. I think that she has quite a lot to give. Her diction and pronounciation is very good. Para lang siyang nagmukhang pacute or pabebe during ATM with the BAE. Except of course during KS, but even then yung dub smash niya laging bitin. I believe that she is more than that. I was even excited when I heard about the switch, pero parang nasayang lang. That’s why I knew then that she would be back in brgy today. Okay, maybe perhaps they’re slowing the flow a bit. Anyway, I’m just saying that M I think has a lot more to offer, and perhaps they just want to unravel her talents slowly (parang mysterious and peg) para magulat ang lahat – this seems to work well with A kasi lagi siyang ginugulat ni M. I hope M continuous to surprise A para lalo siyang ma mystified.
For business standpoint, yes they are using the popularity of Aldub. They have to be very careful though kasi, they might lose other artists. Even SPS, they still incorporate Aldub in their script. I do not see why it has to be done. You can see naman don na lahat ng dialogue scripted, obvious na may tinitignan sila. Although we want to know everything that A and M are doing, I think we have to be fair naman. In terms of gaining more popularity for A and M, A as we know is already popular and M, well don lang siya sa KS pero imagine she already drew in millions of fans. Pano na kung fully pledge artist na siya. (I hope M performs in the Grand Finals of Bulaga Pa More on her own, not with the Lolas. If they are thinking of doing a duet with A, sana yung medyo end na ng performance ni M para mas feel ang kilig and at the same time M has already proven that she can deliver).
In relation naman about being paired to different artists, may it be A or M, Aldubnation should be understanding. Although, we want both of them together forever at magkatotohanan na. Firstly, buhay nila yun uy, wala tayong pake! Secondly, how will they grow in showbusiness kung sila lang dalawa parati, they have to hone their craft. And thirdly, and babata pa nila they have to grab all the opportunities coming their way. Coz you know what guys if they are truly destined to be together, kahit ano pang mangyari sila pa rin talaga. So, we have to be realistic na ang majority na pinakikita nila on screen ay actingan lang. Huwag umasa, huwag paniwalain ang ating mga sarili na sila na talaga now and forever, talagang masasaktan tayo. Enjoy nalang the ride, the kilig and the good vibes they bring. Bonus na kung sa tamang panahon maging sila.

Wow such amazing comments. Galing ng analysis 🙂 Hopefully, an EB staff gets to read these. Last time I made similar comments sa FB page ng EB and Pinoy Exchange, I was chased out and was called so many names di ko malunok ang mga katagang binibitawan nila. But all comments mentioned here are valid points. EB/TAPE should really speed things up. Last saturday’s episode was a let-down (in terms of A/M interaction) plus this sudden change ng scenario ( switch tapos switch na naman). I dont buy the “sa tamang panahon” argument nila. Sorry po but it’s taking too long. And the no touch/ 1 foot rule is .. too much. Di naman masamang tao si Alden and Maine is of age na. Masyado ng mahaba…too stretched. They should at least have Maine talk and interact na with Alden. And please give them a few minutes to themselves lang.
Mukhang they are planning to have the Lolas or Lola Nidora perform with M sa GrandFinals. Not good though. Kase they asked the people to vote kung sino gusto isama sa Finals. And we all voted for M, not M and Lola Nidora. I think they should give M the spotlight again this time. Let her shine 🙂

With regards to that I have high hopes that saturday will be the ‘baptism of fire’ for M… Or else it would really be disappointing to let her continue the dub smash. Based on her performance the past three months this kid will have a lot to offer and it would be a waste if it wasn’t explored or enhanced.
At some point A is now reaping all the benefits (we can’t blame him for that) since he’s not in character (almost). It would be a loss if they will let M speak when the dust already settled. They need to sustain the popularity until december (atleast) because of the movie. And again, after it piqued my curiosity last saturday, it was a bit disappointing that they weren’t able to sustain the story line. It’s now becoming dragging.
If they knew A will not be in EB the whole week (out of town shows are planned ahead of time) they could’ve come up with a different plot that would focus on what M has to offer or something like that to sustain the curiosity of the viewers. Not like what happened today. Why build a story line where you build anticipation then not sustain it. Ofcourse people will react. It was a sloppy job today for the writers today. Nevertheless, you still have time to rewrite the storyboard before people started to drift and the hype died down. If A is not there focus on M. Build her up or something like that.
Sorry I my thoughts are not that organized but I do hope you get what I mean.

Sa tingin ko ganun talaga yung gusto mangyari ng TAPE kay M mysterious ang peg tignan mo effective db lahat tayo gusto ng makita yung mga talent nya. So everytime na pinapakita yung mga kaya nya pang gawin eh amaze na amaze tayo.Kaya mas lalong nahook yung mga tao sa kanya.
Tungkol naman sa absence ni A, tingin ko plano talaga sya para mamaya tampo tampo lang ang peg ni M kasi nga di nagsabi na aalis pala. Saka yung mga commitment ni A nakaschedule na yun even before pang sumikat ang LT nila.
In short ienjoy lang natin yung KS at iappreciate yung mga ginagawa nila para ma-entertain tayo. 😀

Marianna , I so agree with ur comment abt the ‘1ft’ rule, it’s oa na. Was happy Vic Sotto made the ‘sapukin ko to’ comment haha. They also need a list of songs. the flow of the show has been disconnected since Saturday, maybe there’s some internal conflict/ issues we’re not aware of. And re: today’s violent reaction of fans, I don’t condone it at all but I blame the show for not including Alden’s absence in the script. Parang umasa sa wala yung fans. The writers knew he’s not gonna be there, and then unfortunately the girl unknowingly posted the pic at the wrong time, I would like to believe that the fans are not that biased (ok maybe they are haha) kaso it took them by surprise. Then yayadub (not Maine) being portrayed as this sad sorry girl waiting in the barangay (Maine for sure knew he’s not there) Then the whole resentment again came out (but yes shouldn’t be pointed towards alden but to tape) for Alden the actor, is allowed to have shows outside with other personalities/ explore his career while Maine is tied to her yayadub character and is not ‘allowed’ to have public interactions much less friggin talk! The fans are obviously clamouring for reel love team moments between a&m first before others Muna, wala pa silang moment!. Again, I still don’t condone the flak alden and the other actress got. But u sort of can see the reasons for the outburst. However, the writers/alden/Maine have blurred the line between real/reel, they use their real nicknames, family members got involved, authentic crying, using twitter as an extension of their ks characters, etc etc hence the fans became emotionally invested and ‘involved’. Unless I missed the memo that this is a full on reality tv show, They’d better be prepared for more emotional outbursts from fans as they can’t toy with the fans’ real emotions then say ‘ kalma lang, actingan lang to uy’.

Aaaand.. im back! Seriously, i need a life! 🙂 anyway, @lizalll comment is spot on.Galing na analysis. Wala pong ibang pede i-blame but the management arm of both A and M. The hulabaloo yesterday was a glimpse of the future if they dont hurry up the tamang panahon. Just a thought… Maine should have been more discreet in appreciating Julian Trono’s IG selfie with her. I think it added fuel to the fire. With Alden in a picture with Kris B. and GMA publishing a telling article about them (A and Kris B.)on the same day they are together on a show in Bicol. Its a perfect recipe for an LT take-down. Oh well, the two kids will have to provide a heck of a show later sa KS para ma-appease ang fandom. I have a feeling, Alden will never court Maine. And Maine, well, she is a strong girl so she will take these all in stride. No offense po kay Alden, but i am just setting my personal expectation. I love them both and if its just for reel.. ok lang din sa akin.

Like most of you , disappointed na bumalik si Maine sa baranggay.
Sayang naman kasi nakaumpisa na sya ng pundasyon sa Broadway (maganda yung tandem nila ni Rhyzza).
I think dahil hawak ng GMA si Alden, malaking challenge sa TAPE na i-coordinate ang schedules nya.
Maaring yung mga out of town gigs nya has been booked way before this KS thing happened at di na pwedeng i-cancel.
Also, kapuna puna na hindi maayos yung treatment sa case na ito ng EB writers.
I mean hindi man lang nakapag paalam si A noong Monday,
l was thinking maaring hindi na-inform promptly ang EB staff about this trip,
or they knew and hoping na maka cancel?
I don’t know but it was not smooth at all.
Isa pang kapuna puna dyan e hindi man lang nagparamdam si A sa fansign ke yaya na me lakad sya.
Kahit noong nasa Naga na sya, wala man lang syang tweet patungkol dun which is uncharacteristic of him being a gentleman that he is.
WHICH leads me to believe that A personally said bye to M thru text or phone call or DM!

Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been defending Alden on the comment section for God knows how long when I realized I have been harsh on him. I WAS ENLIGHTENED.
But I’m back at it again – feeling sorry for M. I had tried my very best not to visit this blog anymore as it consumes my time for academic work, and my tendency to overthink is often exacerbated by the negative sentiments I read here. That only lasted for two days though. I went here again to let off steam because I’m getting anxious with how Maine is becoming vocal (again) and Alden’s urong-sulong behavior. I don’t know. I keep telling myself to have faith, because he’s proven himself worthy enough in the past episodes.
Am I too demanding? Sigh.

SAFETY FIRST.. Alden and Maine’s safety should be the main priority of EB and GMA.. in my personal view THEY NOW BELONG TO THE MOST INFLUENCIAL PEOPLE IN THE PHILIPPINES.. parang mas sikat pa nga sila kaysa ky Pnoy..They should be in Broadway at wag ng isama sa barangay..If they are in the barangay they are exposed from different types of hazards, namely:
1. CROWD – they are always mobbed by the crowd that may lead to physical injuries, not only to anyone of them but on the crowd themselves.. EB staff may need a company of bodyguards/police just to cordon the place and control the crowd.. i also fear for the safety of the people in the barangay, nakikita natin yung iba n nasa tuktok ng mga bubong nila (the possibility that the roof collapse), yung iba umaakyat p ng puno para lang makita sila.. During their sugod-bahay naman, one factor should be considered is the current medical condition of the winner..Alden/Maine might get an illness due to contacts with the winner.. i’m sure EB staff don’t know the medical history (like TB, hepa, etc.) of every winner bcoz of the very limited time they have..Like yesterday’s episode, i overheard Wally said to the lady winner: BAKIT MAINIT KA? kaya lang parang alang nakapansin dun sa sinabi nya.. at yung winner was hugging Alden during the segment.
2. EXTERNAL THREATS – because of ALDUB PHENOMENON, millions of pesos are lost daily from the competion.. i’m not trying to be an alarmist and i will not elaborate on this matter..but GMA 7 and TAPE should provide security for both Alden and Maine on 24/7 basis.. These two are their priceless gems right now and make sure nothing untoward happen to them.

di po ako nega.just saying the stuff on my mind. Marami po ang nanonood lang talaga sa eb dahil sa kalyeserye at i just expect aldub ang malaki ang focus dahil kalyeserye nga ang main theme. kaya nga nagclick because of the two at kaya nga napalitan from problem solving to kalyeserye dahil dyan. So expect ofcourse people will be disappointed if less is shown of the two. let me also point out that kalyeserye is only a small portion of the show. maliit na oras lang sa kabuuan ng eb ang nakalaan sa aldub so i expect they make the most of it. anyway its my opinion at i don’t expect people to feel the same.

I also just wanted to point out pala, I noticed ang dami na nag bash kay Alden because of the pic of him with Kris Bernal. I mean, eto nanaman seriously?
Then also just recently, I saw Julian Trono post a pic of him with Maine. The caption of his IG pic with Maine included some pretty sweet words and admiration for her.
And guess what, no one batted an eye. I’m not saying that fans should also bash Maine, absolutely not. I honestly hope neither of them gets bashed. But it’s really sad to see (majoriy of) fans bashing Alden when they see a pic of him and another girl. But when Julian posted that pic of him and Maine, I see so many fans even suggesting that they look cute, that he could be better than Alden, etc.
I think it’s so unfair. It’s okay to be protective about our Maine, but everyone gives Alden TOO MUCH stick. Just too much. Open your eyes, people. (If you are one those people)
Let’s be fair and supportive to both of them. I’ll just emphasize on that word again, BOTH.

I do not think it is fans being fickle. I must admit I did not really get into this AlDub thing till it exploded on the net. I got curious and it became my source of entertainment, bumping out my former sources of fun. We must admit that AlDub is a product first and foremost, although I wanted to believe at first it is not but now at least in my eyes it is. So if this product is no longer delivering then I will look for something else. I need entertainment in my life gaddangit 🙂
I think EB is treading rough waters. I can sense it in the EB page comments, AlDub pages and twitter. I like others are beginning to wean off this product. I honestly don’t think they can sustain this euphoria till December if they continue the current course. Having said that, once I am completely weaned off AlDub, I will continue to wish these two good luck in their careers and lives. They seem to be “good people”.

Hello. I just want to want to share my thoughts on this.
I think it’s okay to admire how this Julian admires M. He’s very expressive, yes, and M deserves it naman. Maybe he finds her cute and beautiful like most people. Pero we must keep in mind na Julian and A are in two VERY different positions with respect to M. Actually nga, A is in a very UNIQUE position with respect to M. Julian, or any other guy, can freely express his admiration kay M without having to think of what it may entail. Walang pressure. E kay A, aminin man o hindi, kapag nag-post siya ng message na sweet para kay M nang walang context, aba, sasabog ang social media. Lahat magtatanong kung ano na bang status ng feelings niya for M. Totohanan na ba? Sila na ba? Kailan ang kasal? Blah blah blah. Titindi ‘yung pressure hindi lang sa kanya pero sa kanilang dalawa. Hindi madali ‘yun, I would imagine. As if naman kasi hindi pa enough ang attention na nakukuha nila ngayon. I think this is his way of keeping the attention at bay na rin.
And also, Julian and A are two different people with two different personalities. Baka sadyang expressive lang ‘tong si Julian kaya nasasabi niya ‘yun sa post niya, hindi ko alam. And baka ganito siya siguro pumorma if he really admires M that way. Again, I can’t be sure. Hindi kami close. Haha. Pero si A, I am guessing (more like hoping), is waiting for the tamang panahon to be more expressive. And I think he is taking his time (rightfully so) making sure of how he really feels. I admire that about him. Hindi ako naaasar sa mga sagot niyang hindi pa love nararamdaman niya and he wants to get to know M more and see how it goes from there. Totoo naman kasi siguro. I prefer honest answers than pa-showbiz/pa-intriga ones. I’ve had enough of that. We can all see he admires M in his own downplayed way. And for me, that’s enough for now. Si M naman mukhang hindi gaanong naiinip, so ako hindi na rin. Haha. AlDub pa rin. 👍✊✌ *pabebe wave*

Wow! Really! I got curious so I went to Twitter to look at the hashtag of J and M. I was surprised at the number of people making comments about how slow A is…blah blah blah. It’s really unfair. There is no need for any negative comment to whomever especially A. He is only doing his job. We have to be true to ourselves, Aldub is only a loveteam (kahit na I am hoping na maging sila). We cannot dictate who they’ll love or even marry (marami din dyan gusto to ang mangyari aged agad) for that matter. Yes let’s protect M’s heart and all, pero tell me, how? How do we even know kung totoong totoo na yung feelings nya kay A? Another thing kailangan ba talaga natin silang pangunahan. If ever, will it be wrong ligawan ni A ang iba, or may ibang manligaw kay M. Even though saying this affect me, still they are entitled to that freedom and privacy.
I must admit I was impressed with the words JT used on his ig post with M. Kung ligawan man nya, nong isa pa or all guys who admire M, why not?! M deserve a better man whoever it maybe (will be rooting for A kahit mahaba pila kung manligaw siya). If si A naman ang manligaw ng iba of course affected ulit ako kasi babae din ako, kahit crush ko lang pag nakita ko may kasama iba masakit. But you know what, unless a true love relationship is formed between A&M, M or even us have the right to be hurt. Pero wala pa nga kaya no one has the right to give negative comments to anyone. Tinitotoo na e actingan lang naman. We have to respect these two beautiful individuals.
Sorry for the rant just had enough of reading negative comments about A.

Tapos pag kay M may nagpahiwatig ng pagsuyo, pag admire or whatever biglang ang mga tao “sige push nyo yan. Mas bagay kayo” “Go go go. Mabagal si A.” Nakakaloka. O sige, push nyo yan. Kahit sinong lalaking magpahiwatig kay Maine ipalit agad kay Alden, tingnan natin kung magagawa nila nagagawa ng AlDub ngayon.
I’m more of a Maine fan pa ha pero I find some fans unfair na towards A. Nakakaawa.
Parang opinyon lang yan ng mga tao eh..pag si ganito nagsabing mababaw ang Aldub fans okay lang tapos pag nag react ang mga Aldub fans, mga walang manners agad dahil hindi nirespeto opinyon ni ganyan.

* Maine is a very effective actress. Feeling ko nga, kaya nag-beast mode ang karamihan ay dahil sa ‘sadness’ ni YD kanina. Kung mas nag standout lang yung happy vibes all throughout, the audience would not have mind (that much) na wala si A. Agree with you totally. Somebody here commented na ang lakas daw ng hugot ko kay A but it’s precisely because of the negative comments that he has been receiving and continues to receive even without him doing anything wrong. I’m a mom with a son who’s about the same age as A, and naaawa ako doon sa bata for the unfair treatment that he has been getting from people who are supposed to be fans. I think M is under contract with TAPE (for TV) and APT (for the movies), so if you people have any beef with how her career is being programmed, take it up with them. A is GMA’s artist, so his projects are lined up by GMA and his manager. Si M ba may proper manager? If she doesn’t, she should get one quick, so this person can work out conditions to her benefit. To those who suggested that A should have volunteered to stay outside since he’s the man, did you really think he has a say on this? If he had volunteered to do so only for us to find out that the knew he won’t be in today’s show, I am almost certain that he would have received flak for making papogi moves on tv. Damned if you do, and damned if you don’t. To those who think they have better ideas on how to move the story, why don’t you present yourselves to the producers as writers? If you are really getting fed up with the show, why not just stop watching it altogether? Pag bumaba ratings ng EB, then the people behind it will know they made a mistake. But please don’t take your frustrations out on people who have done you no wrong.

A is originally under GMA7, while M is under TAPE (Eat Bulaga).
I have a feeling GMA and TAPE are probably having a bit of a quarrel over A’s schedule.
A is under GMA afterall, but he’s hitting the iron hot in Eat Bulaga with M. Sooo, yeaaah. A is surely is just doing what he’s being told to do.

Malapit na akong maniwalang ginagatasan talaga nilang mabuti ang kasikatan ng ALDUb.
Dati iniisip kong pre AlDub pa yung commitments ni A sa mga gigs na yan,
pero ngayon lumabas na 1 week gig pala yan at iba ibang lugar pa,
parang it doesn’t add up.
Di naman siguro ganon ka in demand si A pre-AlDub di ba?

Absolutely right on that one, GMA is really trying to milk Aldub’s success.
I swear, they better be careful, because they’re starting to be a reason why KS’s storyline is starting to look pretty pointless. I’m genuinely worried, but I’ll trust EB’s creative heads here despite the milking GMA is trying to do.

Hi kirbysting – may whispers sa twitterlandia that the gigs are actually NOT pre-Aldub and that Alden (considering that he is GMA’s prime star right now) has a say in all these. Pede syang tumanggi or his handlers can decline the invites. But those are rumors. Wala pang official word from his management. But personally, i think it maybe true. Putting my overthinker cap on, if it was pre-Aldub they could have published his schedule a full month or two months before the gigs. But from what i see, paunti-unti ang pag-announce nila (plus the fact that most of the shows are events sponsored ng mga provincial government. Methinks, this was planned ahead in time for the election). I think Alden (or his handlers) knows this phenomenon will die a natural death so they grab every money-making opportunity possible from provincial mall tours, Pageant hosting gigs, Album launch, TVCs, magazine shoots etc. While the other half of AlDub remains hidden in her YayaDub persona all throughout this madness. Kinda think, they should at least make her talk and please, for goodness sake, dont make her si ng Wish I May for the nth time. This girl deserves an album or a single of her own. She CAN sing (exhibit A – mainedcm smule account).
Yun lang po 🙂 Switching gears, so excited for KS today.. andun daw si Alden. Hihihi..

Maaring totoo na pwede nya tanggihan pero may nabasa din akong article na ayaw na ayaw tanggihan ni A ang mga gigs dahil maski pagod na daw sya eh basta nakapapagpasaya sya ng mga tao at fans ok na. At kung tutuusin, madami na din ang mga product endorsements ni M pamula nung sumabog ang tambalan g Aldub na wala naman noong 1st 2 weeks nya sa EB.

Unlike kasi kay Alden may mga interviews siya na iba yung ugali niya unlike sa pinapakita niya sa KS. That’s why ganun yung ibang fans. Kahit ako nagulat nung interview niya sa starstruck ibang alden yung sumagot sa tanong eh

That’s been cancelled Alden is sick. Pics of him being examined by a doctor made their way to twitter. Boy is dead on his feet and needs to take a break. He’ll be on EB tomorrow.
So for those who keep on hoping he makes a move or lambasting him for not making one, here’s your answer. He has been sick since last week and doesn’t have the strength to please everyone and entertain you.

Guys para sakin lang ha, oo dapat di ipaalam ni Alden sa fans niya yung kung san siya pupunta. Kaso sana naman sinabi niya na wala muna siya sa KS diba? dami kasi nagiintay eh. Tapos makikita may spoiler na kaya pala wala siya.. Saka guys wag kayo magalit ah para sakin lang to. Siguro pahinga muna si Meng kasi ang nangyayari eh parang puro nalang yung girl ang naghahabol. Diba dapat sabi ni Lola lalaki ang mas may effort lumalabas kasi puro si Yaya nalang yung may gusto. Yun lang naman nakita ko this past episodes…

I get your point Christian, I just think though that the reason palaging si M ang nagmumukhang humahabol kay A is because this is Yaya Dub’s ika nga life, diary nya ang Kalye Serye. So it appears to be one sided. Now for Tuesday’s episode I actually liked how it turned out atleast from a mother’s stand point. I like how everybody tried to make YD happy even though it took a while for her to get over it. This to me is EB’s way of balancing out the segment. I commend them for that. It would be financially wise if they banked the whole episode on our much loved couple but then again u have had 36 years already so making an impact on the society in which ever way possible is obviously on top of their priority as well. Hindi rating lang ang focus! To come up with quality entertainment talaga ang theme ng team.
I am not one to just criticize and not provide an option. If I had a chance to tell them my suggestion I would tell EB writers to show naman A’s side. Doesn’t have to be live. Like with what he did when he went to Bicol etc. but maybe with a little more substance. I just find it sad too he has to deal with this segment on his own pretty much THE WHOLE TIME!! Mahirap mag monologue at mag improvise at the same time while M naman has her lolas to help keep the ball rolling. No wonder the guy is soo strung up walang sasalo sa kanya if deadmahin ang acting nya across the screen.
That I think is also the reason why people bash A when a female star comments on him kasi beyond his singing and fansigns parang tapos na ung part nya. While M’s character is a living, breathing one. May Lolas, may responsibilities, may kaibigan. So people will connect with her and cheer her on when guys appreciate her. In Tagalog ” maganda talaga ang dalaga namin, proud kami sa yaya namin. She is more than what meets the eye. ”
I hope EB keeps evolving Kalye Serye. I for one am no longer just an ALDUB fan. ASA KALYE SERYE NA ANG PUSO KO!! aka aldubuhalang inday

I agree. To add to that, while M is acting as Yaya Dub, A is acting as himself. M can remove her apron then be on her way to do her personal stuff. She can switch off Yaya mode and simply be M. It’s harder for A to do that because there is a very fine line. If he’s seen with someone else outside of KS, he’s still perceived as A in KS doing things he’s not “supposed” to do. Then fans are affected and go on beast mode. Where does A in KS end and A as a normal person begin? Poor guy. At first I was one of those anticipating him at KS on Tuesday because of the cliffhanger on Monday. Slightly disappointed when he didn’t show up, but I moved on and enjoyed the show. It was actually a funny episode if people watched it for what it was. Although a little less exposure of Baby Bae and Yaya Luvs would have been nice. I mean c’mon… Baby Bae sang more live songs than Yaya Dub.

No. They didn’t go to Naga as loveteam 🙂 Yup you’re right may rules na dapat magevolve but may rules na pang lifetime dn. Yung rule sa showbiz na yun nakikita ko panglife time. Para sakin lang po ha.. Kasi nawarningan na dati ang GMA about sa di pagaalaga ng Loveteam isa na nga dun ang ALKRIS which is ALJHUR at KRIS BERNAL. So ngayon madami talaga mas nadisappoint nung nag NAGA si alden na di kasama si Yaya.. They’re saying na “naku nangyari na sa alkris sana naman di sila matulad sa aljhur-kris loveteam na napabayaan ng GMA” kaya madami daw lumilipat sa ABS kasi alaga ang loveteams.. ganun po yung sabi nila.. about naman sa kinagalit ng fans is yung miscommunication ng GMA at Tape. Kasi dapat surprise yung di pagsipot ni ALden sa KS kaso naging spoiler si K. Di naman alam ni K. So yun yung naging problema..

Just a question though, sorry Vilo for flooding you with comments but this is where I find sensible people to talk to about Aldub.
How is Alden with his other past love teams? Was he a convincing actor? or rather was he as convincing as now with maine? I haven’t really watched his shows back, just curious though.

A’s previous loveteams were with Louise Delos Reyes and Julie San Jose, neither of them clicked.
A also had a teleserye last year called “Carmela” where his leading lady was Marian Rivera, that didn’t click aswell. At the time, it seemed like a desperate move to try and level-up his career.
And still, it didn’t work, it didn’t click.
But everything was like that until Maine Mendoza came in.. Aaaaaand the rest is history.

i’ve been sad about Aldub since this monday. This all started when Alden did not respond indirectly to the “take care of yourself” tweet ni Maine. We’ve been accustomed na automatic na nagpaparinigan yung dalawa e. But unfortunately Alden only tweeted the rogelio rogelio thing. Now with today’s episode, though JoWaPao and Yaya Dub still delivered, it still felt wrong, parang yung may hinahanap ka na lasa ng pagkain pero hindi mo ma pinpoint kung ano yun, at kahit anong kain mo ng kung ano anong pagkain di kaparin satisfied. At ngayon what saddens me the most is that Alden will most likely still not in Kalyeserye til thursday because of his errands in Bataan and Zamboanga. Knowing that he would be leaving that long I was hoping he would’ve made an effort last monday to ask permission like he always does. I’m not demanding things from alden, I’m just acting this way because he isn’t doing things that we were accustomed to before.

Hi Marc 🙂 it was Alden’s management blunder. Di sakto pag-communicate between EB/TAPE and GMA Artist Center. Hence, the sudden mishap. But tomorrow Alden will be at EB (based from my research sa Twitterworld) then travel sya to Bataan afterwards.

So methinks, there will be a tampuhan arc and suyuan through pasalubong from bicol arc sa KS tomorrow. Same old,same old. Alden will probably bid YayaDub goodbye kc he’ll be out the whole week. And then to save the day (and to pacify most of the Aldub fans), Lola Nidora will deliver her mini-lithurgy about patience a.k.a. tamang panahon, hindi araw-araw dapat kilig and then they will end with the epic “honk! honk!” (busina) just before malaman natin if Maine and herself will perform sa BulagaPaMore GrandFinals or if may regalo si Lola for Alden and Maine’s weeksary on thursday. Oh and of course, they will dubsmash bakit di na lang totohanin ang lahat, bakit mahal na mahal kita and that theme song from Smallville. Alden will be as gwapo as ever, looking so in-love up until the floor director yells “cut!”. And oh, Maine will be YayaDub of course dojng her trademark wacky-do and will sing “Cry” or “Wish I May” on cue from the director.
Hay, i have to wean myself from all these… honestly, i feel spent. I invested too much time overthinking stuff. Not good. This is, after all, just a 30-minute show. Reality check! 🙂

Hmmm, it is really interesting that when M is not yet famous she has active buzzing social media accounts. Now it seemed that all her media account are on stealth setting, high level ang privacy at naka-firewall pa. Baka may galawang breezy na nagaganap under the radar. My goodness there has to be a patch somewhere for this addiction. Bakit ako nagkaganito? Entertainment Tonight nga hindi ko pinapatulan, what the heck am I doing in this platform na nakikipagtsismisan about showbiz? Ughhh.

@marianna u can’t force it to happen hahahaha sa tamang panahon!! I think we can’t move on kc inaantay ntin ung happy ending nila. Like when u have friends that date u hover around them and mega bantay ka just to see if it will work out. We can’t help feeling that way since Yaya dub was a complete newbie when she landed on our lap. Walang artista lineage… Walang previous commercials nothing to keep her apart from us from just being simpleng tao. And then she evolves… Pwedeng glamorous pwedeng idown play ang looks. So much like how we want to be seen as well. I don’t mind wearing my scrubs every freaking day but then again i want to have that same impact sa husband and friends ko when i try to look special. I don’t think I’ll turn into a Marian rivera overnight pero pwede ng Yaya Dub sa broadway. And i think thats one reason why we can’t keep her off the street because she truly is a representation of us na mga simpleng tao lang.

Sa palagay ko meron namumuo noon pa man but for whatever reason nawala yung ganun interaction, maari nga na napagsabihan sila or they just chose to be more private about it. It was good to know though na ganun pala sila noon kasi lately ko lang din inopen ang twitter ko dahil sa KS lang at Aldub,. Mukhang mawawala ng ilang araw si A base sa sched nya this week so maganda din pagsubok sa kanila at sa fans din ng KS at aldub kung ano ang mga magaganap sa mga susunod na araw.

For this reason, early stalkers (like us) have this strong faith that whatever we see in them is leading to something. We knew the roots of this madness and we will be the first to get Hopia if this leads to nothing. Nevertheless, we knew our place because what we see/saw in social media may not reflect what is real (but it gives us a good overview somehow). How I wish we can freely mingle with this people personally.

if you have watched Allan K’s guesting sa Tonight with Arnold Clavio, he said na pinagbabawalan daw ang dalawa na magcommunicate and magkita outside kalyeserye to keep the interactions authentic daw. My issue with this? What if totoo ngang pagtitinginan but they cannot communicate kasi may rules that are being imposed upon them? Sa tingin ko kasi, real ang emotions na ipinapakita ni Alden, but knowing how much of a good boy he is, syempre susunod sya sa rules. Many fans believe this to be true, and gusto na nila i-lift ang whatever it was that was being imposed on the two to see kung ano ba talaga ang moves na gagawin ni Alden sa pagpursue kay Maine (not Yaya Dub). I think EB should make a move REAL FAST to herald in “tamang panahon.” Naiinip na ang fans and they want to see something new, a progress in the current state sa relationship ng dalawa for reel and for real. The fans also want to hear Maine talk, sing, dance and act (outside of her Yaya Dub character). Maine is very articulate and has a good head on her shoulders. The fans know this and they want to see this side of Maine. This girl has got so much to offer as an artist, and I believe that with all the attention that the LT is getting now, they should showcase Maine’s talents while nakatoon pa ang attention ng mga fans sa kanila. Napapansin na rin ng marami na EB is dragging the segment’s theme, and like what usually happens with things are dragged longer that how it should be, it loses steam and nakakawala ng gana. Sana maisip din ito ng taga-EB. However, I think with the episode today, they are trying to resolve some of the storylines that they had abandoned earlier, like the story about yaya’s mom, the diary and the shoes that is still with Alden. Kaso lang, sobrang delayed ang pagresolve ng storylines na ito. They should have dealt with these earlier pa. Sana huwag na nilang hintayin na mainip masyado ang fans.

I super agree. Sana naman, by this Saturday, pagsalitaan na nila or pakantahin ng buo si Maine. And then afterwards, ipasok na talaga as Maine. Kelangan na talaga. Lahat ng anggulo. Safety, audience feedback/expectations, etc. However, di na kasi magiging Kalyeserye if Maine will no longer be in the streets. Siguro if that happens, they have to think other avenues for this. Maybe build another Kalyeserye-type story, with a different setting, with different set of characters. That is habang nagkakamabutihan sina Alden at Maine. Lols!

Yes, the episode was disappointing without Alden. But, finding out that the boy went to Naga City for WORLD’S TEACHERS DAY is to be Commended. Instead, I find that the net is flooded with resentment. It is sad (and very disconcerting) to see “Fans” reduced to putting their own personal daily entertainment above that of him showing gratitude to the world’s most under appreciated (not to mention, overworked) people in the world -Teachers.
Everyone has resorted to either blaming a girl name Kris for posting a picture of him, or blaming Alden for supposedly “not asking Maine’s permission” (or the fans permission). So, here it goes again, searching for a ‘better’ man for Maine… Huh?!? What the… When did Alden suddenly become an imbecile that he has to account for his every actions to everyone around him? Actions that pertain to his line of work…
1) Alden is an Actor. Maine is an Actress. Together they are cast mates, or in everyone else’s world, they are called Co-workers. You do Not ask your co-workers for permission to take a day off, or to take on another project. You ask your Boss for permission. If the coworker (Maine) or the customers (fans) do not like it because they weren’t informed and their work got disrupted… oh well, go take it up to the boss (Eat Bulaga). Letting your co-workers know of your day off is your prerogative, not an obligation. You are not married to your coworker nor to your customer.
2) Poor girl Kris (don’t know her until today) got F up for simply posting a pic of Alden looking mighty fine in a black Armani Exchange t-shirt. I, for one, thank her for that pic because looking at it made me lose my train of thought.
Looking through her Instagram, turns out she’s a fan of AlDub. She posted herself doing the pabebe wave and unabashedly gushed about Maine. Given her obvious love of the AlDub team, there is something inherently wrong with AlDub fans cyber bludgeoning this woman.. there’s this feral quality to the obsession to the point that no sense or logic exist…
Lines will be blurred between Reel and Real, that’s to be expected given the sort of reality TV theme they got going. When Lines no longer exist between fantasy and reality is when it becomes alarming and downright… scary.

Yikes! Kawawang mga bata. People should just chill. It has become an issue of control for some fans. They know they don’t have control so they act out. Ito lang ang solution diyan – the Serenity Prayer. “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,The courage to change the things I can, And the wisdom to know the difference.” Incidentally AA adopted that prayer. By AA I mean Alcoholics Anonymous. Although it applies to AlDubholics Anonymous na rin. We can not control A and M’s actions, thoughts and feelings. Relax, enjoy the show and if it does not make you happy anymore – find something else bago maging destructive ang effect nito sa iyo. Live your lives, not others. You can control yours and you are in a better position to make yourself happy.

Tama! Napakaganda naman ng pakay ni A sa pagpunta nya sa Naga .At saka yung KS na paginging malungkot ni M ay parte lang ng pagarte nila para sa episode na wala si A. May nagpost pa nga na off cam na napakasiyahin na bata si M at saka panigurado din na alam nya ang pagpunta ni A sa Naga at kung ano ang dahilan kaya chill lang dapat mga Aldub fans, lahat naman tayo ay nais na mapasaya nila pero minsan may mga commitments din sila outside ng KS. Ang mahalaga may lesson pa din natututunan at nakapagbibigay tuwa sa pang araw araw.

I’m basing my happiness on 2 people I don’t even know! 😊 I have long ago eschewed any sense of reasoning just so I can keep enjoying kalyeserye guilt free 😍 Plus, I’m reading comments here to keep this senseless fascination going.
I am definitely not of sound mind and reason, just one happy crazy person. 😊 No violence, mean thoughts, and mean wishes to the cast (or anyone) pls. Social media affords us anonymity, try not to lose our humanity.

Parang ganun so iba talaga impact sa kanila .. Kasi the way I view it. kaya sila naging Aldub fan kasi feeling nila talaga magiging sila at true yung feelings nila sa isa’t isa kaya ganiyan sila kadisappointed….

di natin masabi kung kababawan. Isa ng rule sa showbiz yun matagal na. Pag may loveteams at aalis sila lang yung magkasama or minsan may iba pero kasama sila. Pinagkaiba kasi ng Aldub eh di pa sila puwede magsama kasi sabi nga daw nila para mapanatili yung kilig.. Ang may mali sa part is kung sino man nagpapunta sa Naga. Parang ang KS kasi di ready sa naging pagpunta ni A.. Kaya yung script kahapon at ngayon di siya tugma

Ok, now I understand better. The people went batshit crazy because they thought Alden and this Kris was going to Naga as a loveteam? Ok, but, isn’t it easy nowadays to find out the truth in an instant? I mean these same angry “fans” are already using all social media platforms to vent their rage, doesn’t it stand to reason that they obviously could use the same skill set to find out the truth? So, why aren’t they doing that? Is it because they can hide behind the fact that since others have done it in the past, it’s ok to keep doing it?
And, just because something is an old rule of showbiz doesn’t mean people nowadays have to react to it the same way as our grandmas did. We progress, we evolve, we’re humans. Other examples: 1) Gay people used to be beaten to death, now we have Super SiReyna. 2) Rape victims were forced to marry their rapist, now we gleefully hand out the death penalty for rapists.
Even if this showbiz love team rule was set in stone, reacting to it the same way as before is no excuse if it results in bad behavior.
We, as Filipinos, do not have to act or think as a collective. We are considered one of most literate countries in the world. I am not talking about being highly educated, because that does not automatically translate to intelligence. What I mean is that we, as Filipinos, are are more than capable of thinking on our own, individually, without having to follow others. Our history is filled with heroes who fought to maintain our identity as Filipinos (against Spain and the US and kapwa filipinos ). And now here we are unable to progress on something as trivial as showbiz tactics because we have already justified it as something we have long grown used to, and therefore ‘acceptable bad behavior.’..
The most glowing traits of being a Filipino is our being forgiving, respectful, considerate of others, fighting for what is right, and most of all, being adaptable to constant changes. The same Filipino traits showcased in the KalyeSerye.
Change is obviously long overdue in the way we treat, react to “love teams”.
If we don’t like something, we now have the means to tweet or email Eat Bulaga/GMA 7 without having to resort to downgrading or attacking the artistas themselves, who are obviously just doing their jobs and following instructions.

That actress Kris got over 2 thousand comments on that Instagram pic. Derogatory comments and pure nastiness, they were painful to read. There is no justification for being cruel. Never. The “fans” even managed to justify their comments by saying it’s her own fault for posting the Naga gig pic, “wrong timing”, because Alden is not with Yaya Dub…
This Kris was obviously just so excited to be working with an actor who’s become so famous these days, when she knew him at a time when he was just plain old Alden. Wouldn’t any one of us here feel the same way, if we find ourselves with people we used to know who’s now reached the pinnacle of their success? There is nothing that warrants attacking a persons character for wanting to share a wonderful moment in their life. None whatsoever.

Para saan pa po yung twist nung lunes na kung sino sa barangay at sino sa broadway? Kaya nga binibitin tayo ni Lola Nidora e. Ano ba naman? Wag naman over analyze, kawawa naman yung tao e.. Trabaho niya yun e. Nagtratrabaho lang siya. Besides, malay niyo naman may communication na talaga sila. Isip lang ng positive guys. Hindi yung mambabash agad kayo. Kinakain neto oras ko kaka stalk and kaka overanalyze kada episode ng real/reel scenario. i feel so guilty na magstalk sa dalawa to the point na nagiging nega na ko, scary! Hahahaha pero after reading all the comments here. Therapeutic sa mga kagaya kong obsess.I so love this fandom! Kakatuwa talaga. I used to bash A before kasi nga natatagalan ako sa result to the point na naiisip ko na di nya talaga gusto si M. But it made me realize na masyado na tayong nagiging demanding. (Guilty ako don) maybe bec we invested so much time & effort sa kanila kaya kung mag react tayo sa konting mali sa episode e affected na yung buong araw naten. Naawa ako kay A sa nega feedbacks sa kanya lately. Base sa pag stalk ko sa kanya. Mukhang private talaga syang tao. Mas gusto ko nga na hindi pa showbiz ang mga sagot nya, and hindi din dinadaan sa social media ang pagpapakilig. Nasanay lang tayong vocal si M sa account nya kaya we feel bad for her pag hindi nagrereply si A sa mga tweets nya na parinig. Si M na nagsabi, super gentleman daw si A. So for sure hindi man broadcast yung usap nila. Wala tayong alam off cam. Naniniwala padin ako sa FOREVER nila 😉 you can see it pag moment na nila sa KS. They can never fake it 😉 lalo na sa mga keen observers kaway kaway dyan! Haha kaya nga tayo na hook dito kasi yung emotions nila, tumatagos talaga e. Very genuine! Itataga ko sa bato may patutunguhan to. Base sa pag stalk ko sa relatives and friends ni A. Di man sya vocal sa acc nya. Nilalaglag na sya ng mga nakapaligid sa kanya 🙂 sa mga nega dyan balikan nyo ebforlove episode kada nakukulangan kayo, andon yung REAL emotions ni A. Kaya let’s enjoy the show nalang. Long way to go pa to. And regarding the TAMANG PANAHON which alden said on his interview sa
Cebu philstar na malapit na daw. Feeling ko magtatapos na ang book 1 or KS maybe. Eto na yung magsasama silang dalawa sa broadway 🙂 at may chance na sya makilala lubusan si M. Can’t wait for that!

a few days after aldub became a hit, i was already following them. since then i’m an addict, obsessed, possessed *wink* … i have never thought i will be commenting in a forum like this but i am glad to have came across this blog and mr. vilo thank you very much for allowing us to use your blog for our comments…
lately i have been contemplating to “give up” this addiction because like some of you were saying it is not healthy anymore – i stay up late just to replay the episodes, current and past, been checking their tweets every now and then even at work, not only them but their relatives and close friends as well, been checking pep, fashion pulis, gma news, aldub and EB FB page (name it) just so i will know any updates about them and their blossoming “getting to know”… watched almost all of M’s videos and of course reading all your comments. and i have been dreaming about them! lol 🙂 every saturday instead of waking up late to rest coz its an offday i will wake up early to check what has happened to the episode that day coz it’s like the grand day… tell me, do i still have a life? 🙂 😦
i have been thinking why am i /we so invested (borrowed from one of you) in them? maybe because it’s a stress reliever/laugh trip or we are just so curious of what will happen to them or because i don’t have a love life (hahaha)
so maybe for now, i will step back for a while and breath a fresh air and slowly put my life back in a balance like M has recently tweeted “Life is about balance…” but definitely will still support them and hope that this will still boom… although parang the KS story is not levelling up, they need to coz they have a movie this december. they have to prolong the hype and interest of the fans…i don’t want jobert sucaldito (tama ba?) to have the “last laugh”. and parang i think A will not step up to pursue M, i think she is not his type, ako lang naman ito and i am a fan of M than A but i hope i am wrong, it’s just an observation.

You are not alone. I feel the same way too. I do not really focus on A. He is too showbiz for me. The guy really deserves a best actor award. Anyway, whatever he does is his business. I honesty am not interested and won’t be persuaded by his rhetorics anymore. I will just bet my Forever on the relationship of Yaya with her adorable Lolas. I did not miss A from KS today. The Lolas and the cuties are more than enough to make me laugh and complete my day. For me, it takes more than kilig to be happy. If love is reel, it remains in the spool but if it is real then it will find a way.

Hey Momo,, kakalungkot naman itong blog entry mo. Sana wag ka totally mag switch off sa AlDub.(And kudos sa message mo sa mga pasawa, one of the reasons na nakakalungkot na iiwan mo ang fandom kasi yung mga rational people na gaya mo ang mas kailangan ng nasyon haha.) Kung isang paraan mo lang yan para ma-rehab ang sarili mo , l can’t question that. I was thinking the same thing too, l need to cure this addiction desperately. And ASAP.

PAANO KUNG ISANG BUWANG WALA SI ALDEN? yan ang biro ni joey kahapon nung wala si alden.. what will happen to KS more specially to yaya dub w/o alden.. alden daw was in bicol yesterday at kasama si kris bernal for a show (at na-bash pa si kris dahil sa pic nila ni alden sa IG).. si maine may pic w/ julian pero never na may negative comment, yung iba want to push julian-maine tandem..yung iba sinasabi nila na madali nilang matanggap kung wala si alden and they will support maine all d way.. some say “double standard”, it may be true.. but for me, malaking factor yung sinabi q sa earlier post ko(kindly scroll to the older post upwards) about the “DOUBLE 3” in Maine’s life.. and i mention dun sa post q dahil sa CHARISMA at STRONG PERSONA ni Maine, kaya nyang mabitbit ang career ng mga nakakasama nya.. at kahit sino man ang i-partner sa kanya will be easily accepted by the majority..

I tried to avoid this blog because I anticipated frustrations from yesterday’s episode but here I am again, can’t help myself but to post my thoughts.
Kalyeserye has its own advantages and disadvantages in its uniqueness. We can’t compare the platform to something else cause it’s the 1st time it was done. It is not reality tv but it crosses reel and real but it is still fiction. Just as we are contemplating in making the story better, I believe there is more pressure to the writers and production more than the actors. What if A’s mall shows were actually scheduled a month ago and just had to be rescheduled because we were in the climax of the plot? I believe they are constantly thinking of ideas and I’d like to trust them in terms of how the story is going. Just imagine when they start taping for shows? I’d like to trust the writers and all those who work behind the scenes. They haven’t failed me in the over-all plot of KS.
I also feel that M doesn’t mind to be in the Barangay. She signed up for it and she even sits on the side walk. We’re concerned about her safety but let’s not forget that she doesn’t mind. She wants to act and for her this is her play. She doesn’t look at this knowing her options, I should be in Broadway doing other stuff. I don’t think she feels at a disadvantage here. She is grateful. She is blessed and she enjoys every moment that she has.
Let’s take the chill pill and relax. Enjoy the show. Aldub you. 🙂
