Remember what happened to Marian before? Ginamit nila yung pagiging prangka at straight-forward ni Marian para masaira sya. I can feel that she shares the same personality with Meng. What if may mga secrets si maine dun na gamitin laban sa kanya in the future? Unlike Marian during her prime, si Maine ay bago pa lang na artista at hindi pa actually nagsisink sa kanya ang pagiging artista. She’s very vulnerable to pain and depression lalu na kung madadamay pa ang pamilya nya.

Well said, Vilo.
For AnonPH, it is power play to determine who has the upper hand. They picked the wrong fan base to mess with. I’ve always thought that AnonPH is above reproach. This recent spate of hackings (which they claim is for a noble political & social cause) just proved me wrong. They lost credibility. Hacking is a crime. Crime does not pay.

I am utterly disillusioned with the leftist group from a tragedy that happened in the late 90’s. I have an acquaintance, typical provincial boy who because of his brains and brawns was admitted to a prominent military school in Baguio. Characterwise he is one of the most responsible and family oriented person I know typical of being the panganay in the family who only wants to help alleviate his family from poverty. Because of his military training you would think that he is full of machismo but on the contrary he is very, very close to his gay bro who happened to be our friend . He used to tell us stories of him and our friend selling ice candy in their barrio for baon. When he graduated he was assigned to Kalinga Apayao and there he was ambushed by the NPA. Had he not been killed who knows what kind of good change he has done to the system considering how nice he is and how responsible. All of us were shocked and from that day onwards nawalan ako ng gana sa mga extremists. If these people want to effect change there has to be a better way than resort to terrorism because the end result is sometimes indiscriminate killing of people who are innocent. There has to be a better way to effect change and perhaps it’s time to review your ideologies if they are still applicable to the times. We are in the 2010’s already not 1970’s. If effective iyong paraan ng pagbabago na ginagawa ninyo matagal na sanang may pagbabago sa gobiyerno.

Yes, and there was another commenter (sister_ni_chantyllan) who mentioned that M shouldn’t be proud of her “basang kilikili” and even to the point of insinuating that M should use a deodorant and is not hygienic. This is a bit similar to another’s comments in the previous blog post of Sir Vilo.
I’m a follower of this blog even if I’m just a silent reader and don’t often comment. I really like this blog cause I know commenters here are objective and reasonable even if there are disagreements. So I hope this lovely blog won’t be tarnished by bashers. That is true. Studies say some ingredients in anti-perspirants can clog pores and may cause cysts and worse, tumor growths in underarms and breasts. M being open about her emotional kili-kili is really admirable. That shows her honesty & sense of humor. Walang kyeme. Like saying “This is me, take it or leave it” even knowing that A is a bit of a clean freak (based on his past interviews on the importance of hygiene, etc. Bit OCD. Nothing bad about it. I’m a bit OCD, too). If A can accept that little thing about her then may patutunguhan itong kilig natin.

At first, I was really impressed with their hacking skills. Hacking a gov’t website? They wow’d me. I believe the government isn’t really putting much attention to their citizens. I understand their advocacy.
But, putting Maine into this? Hacking her social media accounts? Lost interest in their so-called advocacy. I have my own way of caring for my country anyway.
They can dominate the internet for all I care. But they can never dominate our hearts. *pabebe wave*

Yes, same thought here! There’s no unity among their members, that’s some may worked independently and hacked other Maine’s SMA aside from the initial plan of using her twitter account to send their message.
I think, there’s a third party here who got interested in the situation and maybe, bribe? some member of Ano PH to hacked Maine’s other account. Who knows? Maraming gustong pabagsakin si Meng at nakita nila oportunidad nung may isang grupo na nakapasok sa twitter account nya.

It was all in good fun, I think. Although I admit I felt the hurt in Alden’s eyes last Tuesday after he went full Lola Nidora, I thought he was really very sincere in his efforts to make her smile that time and I can’t quite get that defeated look on his face out of my mind..
So dapat bumawi konti si Menggay, wawa naman yung manok ko, haha!

I felt the same as you Vilo. I thought M’s acting was inappropriate. Normally, you would share your problem and how you feel to the person you love or close with. You often get comforted or listen to. A went beyond what is expected, so it was disappointing not to be appreciated for the effort. And I felt it, too. I was glad when LN started her pangaral after kasi in a way, it was a validation for me na it was an instruction for her to act that way. But even then I was still expecting more from her apologies. She could have made it more sweeter, but I understood, kasi she’s probably shy or ayaw niya ilabas how she would really react in a real situation. Obviously, people (us) might misinterpret again.
With regards to her responses in yesterday’s episode, I understood it too. It only shows na she is getting comfortable na with A. I’m the same kasi with my husband and close friends. The only issue is whether or not A appreciate it.
I also believe yung mga reactions and responses ni M this past couple of days meron din pinaghuhugutan, maybe she is needing some reassurance of something and those were her defence mechanism.
I hope M bring back her surprise impromptus again. I think A misses them as well, it was apparent when she sang a dubsmash aloud on Monday’s KS by mistake.
Thanks again Vilo for the space.

I agree with you Sir Vilo, I also felt hurt for Alden, a little on the hacking episode and more on the episode after that. On the hacking episode (tuesday), I think M’s “pambabara” was scripted, so I was still ok with it. But on wednesday’s episode, when all hacking issues are solved already and they’re supposed to be in a good mood na, I was surprised that M went on with her “pambabara”. I was disappointed, all the more when I saw A’s reaction. I hope it’s just me,but I think I saw on his face that he was offended, lalo na duon sa huling pambabara. In fact, many reacted negatively on M’s actions. I really hope that yesterday’s pambabara is also scripted, kase nalungkot talaga ako for A and I’m a fan of their LT. And like you said, sana bumawi talaga si M! 🙂

part of being in an improv acting is that they jsut followed the basic storyline, and it’s really up to the actor to adlib and to fill in the gaps. i think both sides were given different instructions.. and we have to give M the slack, hindi rin po biro ang ma-hack.. it’s like an equivalent of stealin, or (excuse the term) raping.. to invade someone else’s privacy in the most brutal way.. just think of your personal account being invaded and you can’t begin to fathom the depths of your vulnerability. buti na lang maraming tumulong na marecover agad yung mga accounts ni M.. for a woman who is a self-proclaimed introvert, i admired her courage to still continue with the KS episode that day..
i think the scene was also appropriate not only to the two of them, but to those of us who tend to think too much about our own problems, and fail to see the efforts of our loved-ones to cheer us up..
bumawi naman ni M ng sumunod na araw eh.. and we could never know what goes on beyond the camera.. so rest assured that whatever offense na nagawa ni M, bumawi yun.. bawing-bawi yun.. you could see naman pagka next day, the way they looked at each other..
so all’s well that ends well..
Good vibes pa rin tayo..
P.S.
hacking is a crime no matter how good your cause is.. the end does not justify the means..
kahit ano pa ang reason, it’s wrong to invade other people’s account..

The way I see it, well may konting mali din kasi ang approach ni alden sa episode na kung saan medyo nag taray si maine. Maine is sort of devastated with the hacking thing. She’s a social media creature and her social media account is her life, now imagine that life of hers got taken away just like that? Her privacy gone, her secrets exposed, its like a girl being raped repeatedly. Maine is in no mood to play kilig that day bcoz of the hacking thing, while alden instead chose to do the usual kilig banats with her. I was kinda surprised that alden, the gentleman that he is didnt try to console her, comfort her at all.
Saka why should fans be surprised if maine was going into taray mode? If anyone who is a follower of maine would care to read her blog, she did stated there that she consider herself as of the bitchiest person she knows. Mataray sya, at ino-okray nya ang mga kaibigan nya just because….. She also said that she is a very moody person, her friends are all sanay na rin with her attitude. I guess fans who didnt read her blog was kinda shocked with her attitude that day.

They don’t get traditional scripts, more of a sequence of “instructions”. I read somewhere you apparently can’t do traditional scripts when it comes to a bunch of comedians doing a live show. Madness and chaos already ensues in everything they do, they just need points and then it’s all up to them to bring it all together.
But, yeah, I felt the hurt in Alden, too. Poor kid. I’m sure he knew the instructions, but there’s no rehearsal so he probably didn’t count on how he was going to react to what she would do. I mean she could have played coy and pabebe sad, instead she went all out NR (no reaction) and irritated. I mean, it was so obvious he was trying so hard, and doing something so out of his comfort zone… and then it was rejected in such a harsh manner… Man, that hurt was real.
Right after Japan, he’s been going all out for KalyeSerye. He’s allowed JoWaPao and Maine to do whatever they want with him. He’s done the Pabebe dubsmashes, looking and acting like a fool (dancing with a flower w/ Maine’s face on it), looking worse than Maine as a bum, and now dress as a woman and dubsmashing… All uncharacteristic of Alden of only weeks ago -the leading man, the heartthrob.
I replayed that part a couple of times.. Maine and JoWaPao looked completely taken by surprised when Alden came on screen. Alden obviously couldn’t see Maine trying to hold back her laughs. And he couldn’t have seen Paolo’s jaw drop in complete surprise (I know it’s always open, but this one was not intended). Jose slowly smiled, looked kind of proud, and had this knowing look on his face that sort of says, “bumigay na sya. kalyeserye na talaga si Alden’ 🙂 Those 3 men and 1 slip of girl have managed to convert Alden, the Pambamsang Bae to their nutty ways 😀 And, it looks like Alden has finally embraced it and is enjoying the ride.

And going back to your post about the hacking….. it was a piece of shit from a group proclaiming to be hacking for the good of the masses. I used to admire them, their intent and their guts. Vendetta is one of my faves. But, this incident just shows this group to be ridiculous and a complete joke. Maine, a 20 year old kid, who already rose to fame by posting all her thoughts and feelings online… Why aren’t you satisfied? Why the need to hack if not solely for curiosity? They were just curious and nothing else. It was nothing but an invasion of privacy. I saw a series of screenshots of them with their so-called apologies and reassurances to the public that they saw nothing untoward about her person and no nude pics… oh, lord. Self-serving curiosity is the name of their game and not activist.

Regarding the hacking, intelligence used stupidly is not intelligence but plain stupidity.

The ability to hack does not equate intelligence. It’s an acquired skill borne out of an interest that anybody with a keen understanding of how computer programs work, given the right tools, can learn to do. It’s like, carpentry or driving, heck it’s like writing, not everybody can do it, but those that showed interest to learn and practice are able to possess the skill and master them over time. You don’t need to be intellectually gifted to do it, you just develop the skill-set then learn new techniques with the help of other like-minded practitioners and you’re good to go.
So then I just have to ask: What are the specific benefits did these methods contributed in the promotion for effecting real change in Philippine governance? I understand the cause, what I want to know is what exactly did the hacking of non-political private accounts accomplish in the fight against political abuses perpetrated for personal gain? How does this mechanism influence policy formulation and development within economic, political and social systems?
Hacking a non-political private account just to post an invitation for a slumber party in Mendiola is hardly what I call an effective approach to rally support for an advocacy. If the effort and time was utilized to get into the private accounts of erring government officials, appointive and elective, since they are already at it, then we would have known by now how THEY work and this knowledge can help in pushing for the establishment of governmental and even societal strategies to protect the citizens against abuses.

@Vilo I apologise for not replying to your comment sooner, and I appreciate your clarification. I also do not condone their action to hack a non political party’s social media account. I don’t see why M had to be a target. Someone who brought all the Filipinos together, brought joy, love and positivity to all. And not forgetting all charitable causes that started because of this phenomenon.Their skills should have been used for better causes to further help the Philippines socially and economically. Their advocacy maybe somewhat righteous but intruding into someone’s privacy to propagate their beliefs is just dire. Well, the outcome was like ‘a slap in their faces’. They didn’t achieve anything, perhaps (wrong) attention, and their stance wasn’t even acknowledge.
I know I say this a lot but I’m really thankful for letting me have a space in your heart este blog pala. It’s a haven of good vibes.

I believe that the “pambabara” on the Wednesday episode fell within the bounds of the script/storyline. If you look closely, Jose was prodding M on the “inaantok” punchline. Besides, M said “joke only” (or something like that) after each incident of pambabara.
Alden, being an actor & a relative veteran (with at least 4 years of showbiz work under his belt), understands the elements of improv/impromptu acting with no 2nd takes. Everything is on the spot. I believe he’s a professional & he’s smarter at his craft than we give him credit for. Sure enough, Alden (the character) was hurt but not Alden/RJ the person. That’s where we draw the line.
Yes, A and M’s raw & honest emotions burn through our TV screens. And it’s a beautiful sight to behold! Oh, these two beautiful souls! Nevertheless, I must admit that toeing that delicate line can be complex given the format KS follows. It’s difficult to pinpoint exactly when “reel” crosses over to “real”. It can send mixed signals to the viewers. The result? Mixed reviews & responses from critics & fans alike. We view things through our own unique lens. We respond based on how those things resonate with us. What’s uplifting for one may be destructive for another. And that’s okay. Art imitates life.
Props to RJ and Maine for remaining steady in the midst of this hacking pandemonium & the constant barrage of bashing. That’s courage. So, let’s cut them some slack.
When the dust settles, the sun sets in the horizon, & the Aldub craze wanes, it will just be RJ and Maine who will discern what truly is in their hearts. I have faith in both of them. And that’s all that matters.
And, Vilo, thank you for sharing your blog to the world. Your entries are always heartfelt. You string up your words so beautifully. The cadence. The rhythm. They transport us to your world & give us a glimpse of your own soul. What a journey it is!

Regarding those sons of bitches hackers: they’re no different from the people they’re fighting against. Bunch of cowards!! If they do intend to make a statement, they should have hacked Pnoy’s twitter or fb page instead or even Kris A since shes a famewhore. That would have made a bigger impact. They may have purposely set the tone of the episodes that would match Maine’s mood & disposition during those 2 days. I had to re watch the episodes because I could not watch them fully the first time, it was cringe worthy. Just like you guys, I was hurt for Alden. But in one episode, a hint from Jose gave me the confirmation I needed that Maine was only following that day’s instruction. We all know that KS does not follow a traditional script but they do have an outline on where they want to go… Jose reminded Maine that Alden failed to notice or respond to her knock knock joke. And Maine was waiting for the right timing to come back to it and wow! She pulled it off. Sometimes people fail to remember that part of the magic of KS is keeping the reactions raw and real. And if we saw hurt in Alden’s eyes its because Maine did her part well. Btw, I have been reading your blogs ( in silence until today) and I am truly thankful to have found this. I am a fan. Keep writing and keep on inspiring us.

Yeah, my heart goes to A on that episode but i know it’s just a script with veterans around. M is a victim and just doing what is dictated to her (perhaps). But try to go over the video and see how A’s facial reaction when LN scolded M for being rude and didnt appreciate what A had been doing to make her happy. Ang sabi ni LN “alam ko maganda ka yaya” and A’s face was focused and he is making some faces when he heard LN telling M na maganda. Nakaismid po si A (sa tingin ko). Anyway, let’s just have GV. Fan lang ako ng Aldub kaya mega react whoever of the two is getting hurt.
